She grinned and pulled out her phone. She showed Zoey a picture of Ovi, Hecate and Bastet. "Here they are. They are Ovi, Hecate and Bastet. I had them for 5 years now. And I named them all over cat gods."

Zoey grinned, looking them over. "That is clever. They look adorable."
She grinned. "They totally are. And they have adopted Julian as their daddy. So for now, your parents are proud grandparents of these three fur babies."
She smiled. "That would make me their aunt, right? I can't wait to meet them."
She nodded. "Yep. That's right! They are sweethearts. I promise. They took to Julian almost immediately."
She smiled. "Did he tell you about his dog?"
Her eyes widened. "No! Julian had a dog?"
She nodded. "Norman his name was. He loved that pup. Julian and he basically grew up together."
She giggled. "Norman? What an odd name for a dog! I'm assuming the dog passed away. How did Julian take it?"
She shrugged lightly. "He died when Julian was... I think he must have been about twelve years old. He was devastated, of course. But he was also a flexible and already overly rational kid. He got over it eventually."
