About Hogwarts: A New History

For some of you, the letter came as no surprise. You had always known it would arrive, winging its way through the air on the foot of an owl to be deposited neatly on your doorstep... or through your window, or rolled up inside a sealed bottle of milk... but for some, it was the moment your life changed forever...

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

And that was it. You were off to learn the ways and wiles of witchcraft and wizardry - but what did you make of it? And what will you yet do...

Hogwarts; A New History is a Persistent World RP based on the Harry Potter series, taking place both in Hogwarts and in the Wizarding World at large. The year is 2117, some 100 years after the events of the books/movies, so canon characters will not be allowed, though your original characters are allowed to be related to canons. Despite the time that's passed, the Wizarding World has remained largely unchanged, the Magical community lacking the Muggles' hunger for progress. There will be a major plot, but how involved in that you are is up to you - participants are encouraged to create their own subplots and storylines as well.

So, you want your character to be the next HP, charging off into the next danger that rears its ugly head? Well, you can! Or perhaps you just want to experience life at Hogwarts, and make your way through the everyday challenges of learning magic - you can do that too! The possibilities are endless...
