After a good meal, both were put to work, Jade was placed with the women to help with cleaning and preparing the food for lunch.
Tristan looked at the bow in his hands and at the other man. "So we're going to hunt?"
Jade went with the women, making herself as unassuming as possible. She couldn't wait for the storm to be over.
"Yes. We have rabbit and deer near here." the man replied.
"But hope that the guards of the king don't find us, I hear stories that it is forbidden to hunt on his land," said Tristan and looked at his bow.
One of the women gave Jade potatoes "Do you want to peel these?"
"This is not his land. The people who owned it abandoned it, therefor we picked it up as our land." The man explained as they started to walk.
"Sure." Jade took the potatos and began to peel them. She did her best to get most of the skin off, and soon they were all peeled.
the woman laughed "Can you cook?" she asked, cutting off the head of a chicken
Tristan followed the men and soon shot the first rabbit
"A little." Jade shrugged. She did know how to cook, but it had been a long time.
The men congratulated Tristan, patting his back. It wasn't long before they spotted a deer. "You take first shot." a man told him.
Tristan stared at the deer and pointed his bow at the deer, revealing his bracelet that only the king's children wore,
"Then I will teach you how to make a tasty soup"
Seeing the bracelet, murmurs started. "Have you deceived us?" One man said angry.
"Thank you. I would love to learn." Jade responded.
Tristan looked at the man in amazement and felt his bow being pulled out of his hands and even saw one of the men aiming his bow at him, Tristan sighed "If I did, there would have been Guards yesterday"
The woman smiled and looked at Jade's slender fingers for a moment, then suddenly grabbed her wrist. "For an ordinary girl you have pretty clean and slender hands."
"Why do you wear the bracelet of the king? Who are you really?" the man demanded.
Jumping, Jade jerked her hand out of the womans. "My father is rich. I usually don't have to do things around the house."
