He nodded. "I... I know. And I won't make one. It will only screw us over in the long run."

He nodded. "I... I know. And I won't make one. It will only screw us over in the long run."
She nodded. "It really will," she said softly, looking down. "You know... I never really told you this but there were times when Becky needed me to agree to a plan of hers. And I'm not proud to admit I fell for her 'deals' several times," she said, using air quotes. "She'd offer me a chance to get rid of her. Said she'd leave me if I did one thing for her. And well... You saw how that turned out."
Roger bit his lip. "Yeah. I did. And I don't want to be weak. I want to be able to resist him. And you help me with that."
She looked up at him. "Then please... believe me when I say a deal is never the answer. Never. And don't forget it again."
He smiled. "I won't. I promise. It's not worth losing you or the baby. I swear it." He kissed her cheek. "now, we could possibly get rid of my father if we lead the Organization to him. Like lead him away from here and then do some magic so the organization will come and find me only to find him instead."
She looked at him, her eyes slightly widened. "I... That could work, if they're strong enough to take him on... But it's really risky."
He nodded. "Well, it's a calculated risk. We have to do something and they are our best chance. Either they use him or send him back to hell. I don't know. Either way, he will be gone and our cabin will be safe."
"...What if they can't take him on?" Maeva asked softly.
He bit his lip. "I don't know. I guess the organization would be taken care of."
She shrugged a little. "That would be one less problem as well..."
