You're caught in a blizzard, freezing to the bone when you spot something in the distance. A frozen fortress made of ice in the midst of the white snow. The thickness of the blue crystal draws you in. Maybe for a moment, it might shield you from the freezing breeze. You place your hands on the door, and you open it. Inside are what seems to be many different people, all from different time periods and places in life. They look to you and all seem to say the same thing simultaneously...

Salutations!
Welcome To My Archives! If you've seen me around long enough, you know I like my table of contents and to make things fancy. So it shouldn't come as a shock to you all that this is probably going to be one of my more organized threads on the site! I love to keep track of my characters and the progress they make. I also love having examples for other people that way when I first do one on ones with them I have a plethora of things to show them I am capable. A resume, if you will.
Also, I love to craft lore and stories for my characters. Don't be surprised if you find yourself reading through them twice and noticing things have changed! Hell, there might even be variations of that same character in another role-play so the sheet gets tagged twice. Below is a more broken down way of how I am going to organize each character sheet I post.
Have fun reading!

Spoiler: The Hidey-Hidest of Hide Boxes! (Extra Stuff!)
Abilities: Istas is trained in warfare, politics, the arts, and charisma. He also has been trained in the Royal Guard Academy as a swordsman. He shows martial skill with the rapier and katana.
Personality: At his best, the prince is said to be an energetic, vibrant leader. He tends to bleed this enthusiasm to others, energizing them. He's also believed to be an earnest, but serious man who tends to keep his private life to himself. He has a way of making commoners feel comfortable, but that same casualness off puts nobles. As such, the courts don't much care for him. However, his predictability and the sharing of his fathers beliefs has put him third in line to the throne after his eldest brother, Ghaine.
He is extremely competitive, challenging people over the tiniest things for a chance to prove himself superior. When he is in a bad mood, he is rather grumpy and is known to snap at others. Also, he is religiously nihilistic. He sometimes uses this as an excuse for his brash, irrational behavior, but more often than not he will apologize for his outbursts. He is also very peculiar, and has to have things certain ways. This makes him an extremely difficult man to work for, but he rewards greatly if you do things properly.

Appearance: Istas is a lively young adult that always seems to keep a smile on his face. His dark brown hair is near black in some lights, shortly cropped to his head, and slightly shaggy looking. He has thick eyebrows, and vibrant green eyes. His skin is pale, and his jawline is angular. His nose is rather small, and slightly hooked when he tuns his head. Whenever he smiles in full one can see his slightly off-white teeth are well kept and maintained.
Istas stands at a height of five foot eleven, and has a lean, but muscular build. His build is due to the fact that he can most often than not be found either training with people or training less experienced people in the Royal Guard Academy. He usually layers himself in a leather coat of some sorts with a vest and a long sleeved shirt. Covering the lower half of his body he can always be seen wearing some sort of pants, and either formal dress shoes or boots. All his clothing are usually in shades of brown, white, black, blue, and red. Any metallic accessories that he wears vary from rose gold, gold, and silver.
Specialty items include a katana that he always carries on his person in case he has to defend himself, a blue and gold royal suit to signify his affiliation in the Royal Guard, and a pair of goggles that he uses to inspect crafted items in the market.

Spoiler: Optional Read; The Story of King Arrad Mournefall
Once upon a time, there was a man named Arrad Mournefall. This man loved only three things in his life. War, his family, and a young woman named Kelaigh. She was promised to him at a young age by the Archduke of a neighboring kingdom, and Kelaigh felt obligated to serve her family duty by marrying Arrad. He showered her in love and affections, but Kelaigh never felt a thing for the man she'd call her husband. Still, the two had two sons and a daughter, as it was expected that men and women of royal bloodlines produce children.
Kelaigh grew bored and lonely as time went on. That boredom would be relieved whenever one of Arrad's advisers named Vovero Honber hired an apprentice named Therton Torid to study his magics. Vovero took on Therton as an apprentice because he was of age to finally retire, but did not want to leave Arrad with someone who could learn his skills. Kelaigh and Therton quickly fell in love, and the two started an affair behind Arrad's back. Even though Arrad did not know about the affair, he had a dislike for Therton, claiming that there was just 'something about the guy he didn't like'.
The affair continued on for several years, up until the mysterious death of Vovero. An alchemical accident went wrong in the lab, which killed Vovero but spared Therton. Suspicious, Arrad would have the scene investigated. After a while, he found some convincing evidence of Therton's guilt.
As he went to question Therton in his chambers he'd find his wife embraced in Therton's arms, the two exchanging a passionate kiss. Furious, he yelled at Therton, calling his guards to arrest him. Therton laughed and said that if he couldn't have the Arch Mage position when he became king that he would kill Kelaigh. In a rage, Arrad killed Therton. What Arrad didn't know, however, was just before he entered the room Therton had placed a life binding link between himself and Kelaigh. His wife died before he got the chance to say goodbye.
Shortly after the death of Kelaigh, Arrad became king. It was during this time that he forced all magic users to either flee the kingdom, or perish. Those who didn't flee found themselves on the sharp end of the guard's swords. He thinks his crusade against magic users is for the betterment of everyone, and in some sick, twisted way, he believes that it will prevent someone else from befalling a similar fate. He told all of his children of what had been done to Kelaigh, and urged them to never trust a mage. To this day King Arrad has convinced himself that his wife was not at fault for her love of Therton, but that she was spelled into it with charm magics. There is no evidence proving this, but he still insists on it.
Prince Istas Mournefall was born to Arrad and Kelaigh Mournefall back before the family took the throne. He has an older brother named Ghaine, and a younger sister named Ymese. They all lived in a manor within the city of Sharnwick. All three children had a very strict lifestyle, and very proper private schooling. They were trained in the arts of politics, philosophy, history, arithmetic, calligraphy, and the arts at a young age. As they reached adulthood, they were also subjugated to take at least five years of charm schooling before they would be properly allowed to choose a profession. The males of the family were also expected to undergo training in the royal armies, something their father insisted on.
The year that their father was to become king was a hard one. Initially, the family responded with excitement. The family mage, who was going to retire, hired an apprentice about this time to learn the arcane arts from him to take his place when he passed. About nine months after the apprentice was hired, the family mage had an accident and died. Suspicious, Arrad and his men investigated the circumstances and found the apprentice guilty of murdering the family mage. It was that time he discovered Kelaigh was having an affair with the apprentice. The apprentice threatened to kill Kelaigh if he couldn't have the Arch Mage position whenever Arrad took the throne, and Arrad killed the man. However, the man had linked both him and Kelaigh's souls together, which caused both of them to perish whenever Arrad killed the apprentice.
The three children were nine, twelve, and sixteen whenever they lost their mother. All three were devastated, but the one that was effected the most was Istas, who was twelve at this time. Istas had a very strong bond to not only his mother, but to the family mage and apprentice as well. Often times you could have found all three of them sitting and drinking tea together, discussing philosophies and trading worldly wisdom. Every time, not too far off, you could find Istas sitting in a corner with a notepad, writing down every word they said. He had respected every one of them, but felt betrayed when he learned of his mother's affair and the apprentice's deception.
He grieved most of his way through charm school, but after about two years became his vibrant, jubilant self again not too long after his mentor gave him some advice he still repeats to this day. They told him that "It's not an easy journey to get to a place where you forgive people. But it is such a powerful place, because it frees you." He finished his schooling that year, and then returned home to his father and siblings a better person.
He breezed his way through the Royal Guard Academy, and passed somewhere near the top of his class. He took a particular liking to rapiers and exotic weapons. Thanks to an admired mentor, however, found his true love and passion in the katana. This is a weapon he still uses to this day. He fell in love with the fluidity of the blade and the way you have to be trained to use it. He feels that, in itself, is an art all its own.
Now as an adult, all eyes are turned on him. His brother and sister have both married, and his brother's wife is due with a child now. Istas shows no sign, or interest, in being married or engaging in court politics. He says, instead, that he chooses to be married to the people of his kingdom. While the people seem to adore this, the courts despise it. He now preoccupies most of his time either roaming the noble quarters of the city, or training others at the Royal Guard Academy. Time will tell if Istas can change his ways, but it seems hes not going to anytime soon.

She is no more muscular than the average fit woman, even though she insists on training just as hard as male soldiers. When she is off duty she can usually be found in a leather jacket over some sort of tank top, and a pair of loose fitting pants usually tucked into a pair of boots. She may also be seen wearing a pair of GUT gloves, depending on mood. She always at least carries one of her trusty compact gunblades on her at all times.
She has pale skin, and almond shaped, brown eyes. Her face is heart shaped, and a little bit angular around her jaw line. She frames her face with her shoulder length, dark ash brown hair. She has side swept fringe that covers one of her eyes. When she doesn’t style it, or she is at work, it is usually all slicked back, or in a ponytail to keep it out of her face.

Spoiler: The Six Paragraph Synopsis (The TL;DR version.)
The Felix family, for as long as anyone can remember, has been a group of ne’er do wells, con-artists, thieves, and criminals who lived in the Ganglands. The only exceptions would be Warner and Saskia Felix, and their children. Warner and Saskia escaped the Ganglands and moved to the Slums by making an honest living as tailors. While living in the slums the pair had four children in total. In order of oldest to youngest there is Sigurd, Storm, Tanja, and Mistral. The children grew up together all working for the family business. They barely made ends meet each month, and every day was a struggle for survival. Most of the children decided to stay and keep with the family business as they reached adulthood. Those that didn’t got outside work, but still decided to live with the family.
In the year of Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety a mysterious illness wrought the household. Within the course of five years, Sigurd, Tanja, and Storm’s spouses died. While Storm and her spouse did not have any children, Tanja’s husband left her with four children to raise, and Sigurd’s wife left him with one. With the deaths of close family members fresh on her mind and the power constantly going on and off in the Slums, Mistral began to wonder if the people in areas nine and above even cared about them.
When violent protests broke out in the streets, Mistral began to take a part of them. It was here that she met her most valued mentor in a woman named Farida Luiza. She was a very charismatic woman who knew how to motivate and convince people, and read the emotions of others. She also had the ability to perform heal magic, which she oftentimes used to heal her protesters if they became injured after police brutality. Farida taught Mistral everything she knew (Short of heal magic, which Mistral couldn’t seem to get the hang of).
During a protest in Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Six, Farida took things too far when the protestors were threatened with violence by a police force they had not seen before. Farida panicked and attempted to injure the officers with her aura. In return the officers tried to gun her down. During the chaos between the protestors and the officers, Mistral drug off Farida into an alleyway. She desperately tried to heal Farida like she had seen her do to others so many times. It worked. This shocked not only Farida and Mistral, but two officers who had stealthily followed them.
Farida and Mistral were arrested. Since healers were so rare amongst the people of Aegis, both women were presented with the same opportunity once they got into jail. They were told that they would either have to go in exile, die, or go through military police training and serve the government they had been protesting. While Farida refused profusely, Mistral kept thinking of her family. With reluctance, she agreed to go through the training. She still remembers Farida screaming at her that she was a coward and a traitor as the officers drug her off to an unknown fate.
Her first year of training in Sect she did so bad she nearly failed. It took a talk with the man that recruited her to remind her once again of what would happen if she did. With renewed vigor, she was able to complete her training by Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Eight, and come out in the top fifth of her class. She now works with Alpha Black in espionage and infiltration, and has been on several missions since then. In some of them, she has had to kill people she used to have rallies with. Mistral is not proud of it, but sometimes you have to sacrifice ideals to take care of people you love. To this day, she still holds contempt for Sect, but won’t defect out of obligation to her family. She now lives in the city of Aegis, and hopes to one day bring her family there with her.
Spoiler: The Full Monty! (This is her detailed background. Don't say I didn't warn you first!)
This is the section that took me the longest, because I just kept frickin' writing. I kept getting ideas, getting inspired, and my fingers wouldn't let me stop typing! In total, this section is fifteen paragraphs long. I broke it off into sections for easier reading. I'm telling you again! I warned you!
Spoiler: The Felix Family
The Felix family, for as long as anyone can remember, has been a group of ne’er do wells, con-artists, thieves, and criminals. Most you’d ask would simply tell you that their family is beyond redemption, and that there is no point in trying to convince a Felix to stop their criminal ways. Most of them live in the Ganglands, but one member managed to make it up to the Slums. He escaped with hard work, perseverance, and a little ingenuity. This person was Mistral’s father, Warner Felix.
Warner Felix married a woman named Saskia Jolliffe, and together the pair had four children. Saskia and Warner tried to teach their children to appreciate all aspects of life. They would remind their children frequently that it takes a strong person to become more than their situation. Tales of Warner’s childhood often served as moral stories to try and teach them right from wrong. That combination with a bit of luck made all four children develop good, strong traits to make them all successful members of society.
Mistral is the youngest child of Warner and Saskia’s four children. She has two older sisters named Storm and Tanja, and an older brother named Sigurd. The four grew up together all working for the family business as a tailors. They would mend and repair the clothing of others for a fraction of the cost of buying new ones. They barely made ends meet each month, and every day was a struggle for survival. Most of the children decided to stay and keep with the family business as they reached adulthood. Those that didn’t got outside work, but still decided to live with the family. All of this was a result of Warner and Saskia’s parenting.
Spoiler: Adolescence and Teenage Years
Mistral’s schooling at a young age was very basic. She did not partake in any extra curricular activities, or try and get out and about with the other children. Often times she could be found playing by herself since her siblings were so much older than her. As she got older, her sister Storm taught her the basics of painting. Eventually, she abandoned play all together in favor of painting pictures. Some still hang on the family home’s walls to this day.
When she was middle school age, Mistral began to propose a lot of ‘what if’ questions to her teachers and family. This prompted her father to introduce her to philosophy. He gave the girl several books over the years to encourage her interest in it. She would often spend hours afterwards painting an ideal she had read as a result.
Once she ran out of philosophy books she began to read her fathers business books. Often times she would give her father advice on how to run the family business, quoting directly from something she had read. She did this for probably about a year before she was legally able to work with him. Whenever she became of legal age to work she helped her father apply business and sales tactics to help them survive. She was the family’s best salesman.
In her teen years, her father and mother both insisted that she learn to at least use a knife in case she needed to defend herself. She did this with some reluctance at first, then eventually learned to handle a pistol by her own choice. These skills came in handy one fateful evening whenever she was locking up the store floor of their home. It is held on police record that Mistral first shot the attacker, tackled them, and then cut their achilles tendons with a knife when they tried to run away. She then pinned and held them until police arrived. No one has since tried to forcefully enter the Felix home.
Spoiler: Young Adulthood
At one point all the adults in her immediate family were able to pitch in and afford rent for a rather large home. It quickly grew crowded, however, as her older siblings started to get married and have families of their own. At one point, there were fourteen people living under one roof. Combine that with the traffic that goes in and out of the house because of customers and you have a recipe for disaster.
In the year of Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety a mysterious illness wrought the household. It was brought in by Sigurd's daughter Ottoline and spread rapidly to the rest of the family.
Farida was a revolutionary who sometimes used nontraditional methods to protest the current power structure of the tower. She was a very charismatic woman who knew how to motivate and convince people, and read the emotions of others. She also had the ability to perform heal magic, which she oftentimes used to heal her protesters if they became injured after police brutality. Mistral and Farida formed a strong mentor and student relationship shortly after Mistral joined Farida's cause. It was because of this that Farida taught Mistral everything she knew (Short of her heal magic, which Mistral couldn’t seem to get the hang of).
During a protest Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Six, Farida took things too far when the protestors were threatened with violence by a police force they had not seen before. Farida panicked, and trapped several officers in her healing aura. Once she was vulnerable, several officers fired on Farida in an attempt to gun her down. As her body dropped, chaos ensued as protestors fought with the police. Mistral drug off her mentor into an alleyway. She desperately dug out the bullets in Farida‘s body, then laid her palms on her and tried to heal Farida like she had seen her do to others so many times.
Farida screamed, vowing that she would rather take death than work for the government, even when they tried to convince her otherwise. Mistral, however, kept thinking of her family. With reluctance, she agreed to go through the training. She still remembers Farida screaming at her that she was a coward and a traitor as they drug her off to an unknown fate.
Spoiler: Her Time With Sect
At first, Sect had difficulty figuring out where to place Mistral. Her first year of training she did so bad she nearly failed. It took a talk with the man that recruited her to remind her once again of what would happen if she did. Worried for her family’s safety if she would be exiled or killed, Mistral trained even harder than before. Thanks to this renewed vigor, she was able to pass her first year of training, albeit barely.
They eventually decided to place her in in Alpha Black after she scored high marks in hand to hand combat, pistol use, and knife techniques. During this time frame she also got proper training with her healing magic, and learned to use her excess mana to silently, and bloodlessly assassinate others. Prior skills with how to handle people landed her a spot in the espionage team. She had difficulty using the tech associated with Sect at first, but eventually got the hang of it her final year of training. This still is, however, her greatest weakness.
She completed her training by Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Eight and came out in the top fifth of her class.
Weapons: Two Compact Gunblades; Two Spare Combat Knives
Spoiler: Pistol
Her pistol comes with three accessories. Below are shots of the pistol both with and without silencers, and scopes. It also has a blade attachment that she sometimes uses which is very similar in appearance to her combat knives.
Spoiler: Pistol Shot 1
Without Silencer and Scope. May occasionally have knife attachment.
Spoiler: Pistol Shot 2
With Silencer and Scope. May occasionally have knife attachment.
Spoiler: Knives
The knives she uses are made of carbon fiber. Using such a light weapon can be useful for more fluid movement, but bad if it flies out of your hand. Her gripped gloves help her hold onto these when she needs to use them.
Spoiler: Knives Picture
All four knives look like this, including the attachment she uses on her pistol.
Armor: Mistral’s armor is a full black combat suit, complete with mask. It has some glowing parts on the suit, which she can turn on and off at her leisure. The gloves in the suit act as GUT combat gloves, which allows her to more easily use her healing abilities on the job. The gloves and feet of the suit also have a special material on their surface to allow her to climb walls and stick to surfaces she normally would normally have difficulty with. This combined with her PAGF makes her job a lot easier.
Spoiler: Picture of the Suit
Profession: Heal
Spoiler: Heals, how do they work? (How she plans to use her gift.)
Although she can, and does at times, heal her comrades when they are on the brink of death, Mistral's primary use of her abilities are to use them to stealthily kill others. She gets in behind you when you aren't paying attention, covers your mouth, and uses her magic to burst your internal organs. This leaves no blood, and can be noiseless, if done properly.
The last thing you want to happen when your trying to assassinate someone is for them to have evidence that you were at the scene of the crime, and for them to have the ability to trace you. Because of this, whenever one of her comrades gets injured she will try and swoop in and heal their wounds so that as little blood as possible is left on the field that is their own. In even rarer cases of civilians or innocents getting injured, Mistral may take her own energies and heal others just enough to survive or seek medical attention. This is very rare indeed, however, seeing as how she needs to conserve it for her comrades and work.
Operation types: Alpha Black; Espionage and Infiltration
Spoiler: Sample Writing
“How can a city even afford something like this? Do they take some sort of weird pleasure in creating a fake sky? Even still… What purpose does it have? Isn’t this the type of thing we were trying to get away from?” Mistral asks herself internally.
The five foot four, pale woman walks along the city streets with her hands in her jacket pockets. She’s been up here by herself almost an entire year, and it still never ceases to amaze her the extents some people will go to in order to create a false sense of reality. This visual trickery left her perplexed, and she wondered if those who found themselves going to the Slums would be left baffled by such a sight. She’d easily consider a lot of the people in this city jaded to the truth of the floors beneath it. After all, it is hard to believe something you don’t see.
She stops by a food cart on her walk, her eyes flicking over to the vendor behind it. She’d analyze them for a moment, then move over. As the vendor asks her what she wants, she responds politely, albeit keeping her sentences short. As the man gets her order, his aged eyes show a smile.
“It’s odd to me how some people can be so complacent,” she tells herself inside of her head. “How they can just be content in the current state they are. There’s no challenge in the mundane, no way to test your limits, no diversity. You’d never know what you are capable of.”
The man hands her the food she ordered, and she pays him, tipping rather generously. As she walks away with a sprig of meat on a stick, she takes a bite into it. It is covered in some sort of smoky barbeque sauce that’s both salty, and sweet. It’s good on the pallet, and she finds herself impressed at the quality.
“… Then again, those who spend a lifetime at one thing often become masters at it,” She muses to herself, unaware she murmured the words aloud.
The people on the busy streets don’t even seem to notice Mistral’s thoughts being externalized. They just continue on with their day under their false sun, clouds, and sky. Mistral herself walks on, just as unaware as the passerby’s as she continues on with her stroll.
Additional Lore
Spoiler: Facts & Random Tidbits
Mistral is named after the wind of Southern France by the same name. It is described as a 'a strong cold dry northerly wind', which gives some sort of foreshadowing to her sometimes icy personality.

Spoiler: The Hidey-Hidest of Hide Boxes! (Extra Stuff!)
Human Looks: Farrah Kearney has long, curly, natural red hair highlighted by blonde streaks. She has hazel eyes that mix somewhere between green and amber, the green somewhere toward the middle of her iris near her pupils. Freckles dot her high cheek bones, as well as everywhere else on her body. When she turns her head, her nose is rather short in length, but has a slight bump toward the bridge, signifying it may have been broken at some point, but reset well.
She stands at five foot seven, which is just slightly taller than average for the standard woman. Her small framed body is fit, signifying fitness takes some part in her weekly routine. The upper portion of her body seems to be slightly more built than the lower, meaning she probably prefers to lift weights over focusing on her legs.
Unlike the picture below, she does not normally wear clothing that reveals her abdomen. She can most often times be found wearing a fitting t-shirt that promotes her tattoo and piercing parlor. The Parlor's logo has a tattooed 50's pin-up girl with devils horns and a tail sitting mudflap girl style. Underneath this picture is the name of the parlor, Hell's Belles Tattoo and Piercing Parlor. The picture itself was drawn by Farrah, but colored by her best friend and business partner, Mad Hattie McGowan.

Transformed Looks: When Farrah transforms into her Avenger form, her hair lengthens considerably, and turns white. Her eyes turn a yellow-green hue that looks unnatural. Her skin pales to a hue that reminds one of a porcelain doll, the ink on her flesh overwritten by the transformation. In addition to these things, she gets white, fluffy wings that remind one of an angel. She also grows in height, clocking in just two inches shy of seven feet tall.

Equipment: Nothing other than what she brought with her to the carnival for her booth, and the standard cell phone and pocket knife, just in case.
Card Weapons: Unlike the picture of her transformed form, she is not ambidextrous. She only has one summonable long sword, which she often imbues with light. She also has a variety of light based abilities. Both her sword's appearance and her abilities applications are listed below in spoiler tags.
Spoiler: Longsword
Apparently Lineage 2 Concept Art, according to the tumblr I got this from.
Spoiler: Light Abilities
Applications:
Light Manipulation - The power to create and manipulate lights and the colors of lights.
Light Projection - The power to release/use light to create various attacks.
Light Solidification - The power to solidify light into a tangible form.
Techniques:
Light Aura - The ability to project light from ones own person.
Light Infusion - The ability to empower and energize any weapon she touches with light (Limited to her own weapons and armor).
Flight - The ability to fly with wings.
Card Armor: As the picture suggests, she wears a dark colored breast plate, gauntlets, and plated leggings underneath a navy blue skirt. Instead of her skin being bare underneath the plating, however, she is wearing dark silver chain mail. It combines heavy armor with maneuverability. The negative side, however, is this doesn’t leave her a hundred percent armored. Thankfully, she can fly to avoid being hit.
Personality: At her best, Farrah is a loving person. She always seems to think the best of a situation, even if it looks grim, and tries to be open and honest with all she meets. She trusts her instincts, and doesn’t stray much from them.. Farrah is also very artistic, and likes to draw tattoos for her art book in her spare time. She is a very physical person, which means she likes to give and receive hugs, and often touches people she’s comfortable with when speaking with them.
She is a soft, tender person, and very loyal, but she can sometimes be narrow minded or intolerant of those who don’t allow others the freedom to be themselves. She often has unrealistic expectations, and keeps setting her own bars too high. She can be very assertive, and have a forceful personality that off puts others. It may at times make her seem bossy, or controlling, but often times she’s just trying to give others what she feels are the best suggestions to solve their problems.

Bio: Farrah, for as long as she can remember, has always loved and promoted individuality and the freedom to be ones self. It was one of many things ingrained into her as a child. Whenever she lost her mother to breast cancer when she was eight years old, she became her family's "little ray of sunshine", as they nicknamed her. She'd often spend hours drawing pictures for both extended family and her father, or doing deeds around the house to help them. Farrah also seemed to have wisdom that was quite uncommon for her age. When asked where she got such words, she would shrug and respond by saying "I just know", then continue on with her play.
As a teen, Farrah became interested in even more artistic pursuits. She found herself using online websites to create commissions for others, leaning in particular toward tattoo design. She believed the skin the most expansive canvas one naturally had to express themselves on the human body. Sure, you could dye your hair, or change your clothes, but tattoos were forever and told the epic of your life. She visited her first body modification convention when she was seventeen years old. It was because of this that she met her best friend, Mad Hattie McGowan.
Hattie had the financial resources that Farrah did not. Her parents were wealthy, and they had three children to potentially look after their fortune. As such, they gave their children the opportunity to try and excel at a vocation of their choice in order to see who would get the family fortune when they passed on. Hattie was already undergoing schooling to learn the basics of tattooing, and almost finished with her apprenticeship. The two became close enough that Hattie not only agreed to start a business with Farrah, but pay for her to take formal art classes so she could improve her skills.
The two opened Hell's Belles Tattoo and Piercing Parlor three years after their initial meeting. Both women had received certification in tattooing, and Hattie had just received training to become a piercer. The business struggled to stay afloat for the first year, but Hattie's father stepped in to help them market the business. Afterwards, the parlor began to slowly get a steady stream of customers that increased yearly. On their fifth year of successful business, the pair began to take in apprentices of their own due to the growing volume of customers. They are now looking to expand to a second location in a nearby town to increase sales and give people a safe place to go to get piercings and tattoos.
Hattie also got Farrah into Live Action Role-playing when she was in her twenties. After participating in several events and not being pleased with any of them, Hattie decided to start writing up their own. Now, once a year, her and Hattie hold an LARP event called The Vampire of the Warlands, which is about a kingdom whose king has severe blood lust. Each year, the kingdom battles a different town or city. Hattie is said to currently have seventeen scripts written for the event, one script being done each year. This year would be the third that it will have been active, but it is not going to be ready for others to participate for another three months. Hattie and Farrah plays not as royalty, but as trainers. Hattie teaches the rules for magical combat in their world, and Farrah teaches the rules for sword and physical combat. It was because of this that Farrah decided to go through actual sword training. She is currently in her second year of this, and takes a one week vacation every year to study it with professionals.
Whenever Farrah isn't with Hattie at their parlor or on their LARP event she enjoys using her illustrative talents to aid others. Once a week, usually on a Sunday, she can be found at a children's hospital reading books and drawing caricatures and pictures for them. Sometimes she'll make entire portraits of families with their terminally ill children of their favorite family experience together so that a fonder moment when life wasn't so complicated. She has also drew a large mural on the wall of the hospital's play area, which was later painted in by the entire staff of Hell's Belles.
Extra Cards and Looks: None, Currently.

Spoiler: A Meeting with Destiny
Farrah walked the carnival grounds, listening to children laugh as she walked past the fortune tellers trailer. She had always had some level of interest in the occult. While she didn't truly believe in any one god, she did believe in spirituality and the power of the human mind. She stared on in intrigue, wondering what sort of fortune would be held for her. She fantasized for a brief moment. What more could she need? She already had everything she wanted.
It was at that moment that she reached out and decided to try the door on the trailer. She went to open it, and it jiggled slightly, but seemed to be locked. Her face twisted to an expression of frustration, and she let out a low, slow sigh. It was a shame, really. What could possibly be so important that she would lock the trailer while the carnival was still going? No matter. She could always come back later.
Farrah she made her way back to the booth she was manning. It was a decently constructed thing made of black and pink striped tent fabric that her and her business partner, Mad Hattie, had put together in an afternoon. Above it was a banner with the same image she was wearing on her shirt, a tattooed 50's pin-up girl with devils horns and a tail sitting mudflap girl style. The tattooed woman winks at passerby’s, as if trying to invite them to come by the booth. Directly to the right of the image were the following words:
Free Face Painting!
Courtesy of Hell‘s Belles Tattoo and Piercing Parlor
When she arrived at the booth, her apprentice, Jack, was sitting there. His black, half-shaven head didn‘t keep the bits of hair he did have from falling in his eyes while he painted a flower on a young girl‘s cheek, whose parents looked on at them while he did. His arms were covered in tattoos, and he wore eyeliner, but he tried to be as inviting as possible by wearing a white t-shirt that he had let his eight year old sister design for him. As such, it was covered in unicorns, glitter, and sparkles. He had just finished dotting the flower on the young girls face when Farrah had arrived, grinning widely as he turns her to face a mirror they had set up. The young girl gasps excitedly, kicking her legs.
“I love it!” She squeals.
“I‘m glad! Don‘t touch it for about an hour, now, okay?” He tells her.
The girl nods, then runs over to her parents, who smile and take her back onto the fairgrounds. She can be heard asking her parents if they can go visit the merry-go-round as she leaves. Jack turns his dark brown eyes to look over at Farrah, adjusting the fourteen gauge ring in the center of his lower lip.
“Hey! I was wondering when you‘d get back! Did you find out anything interesting from the gypsy? What’s in store for you? Fame, fortune, a new boyfriend?” He asks, waggling his eyebrows at her.
Farrah laughed, shaking her head side to side as her long, red hair shifts with her movements. She goes to stand behind the booth next to Jack, and leans on the table.
“No. None of that. A lady never tells, you know.”
“Oh come on, boss. Give me something!”
“Alright, then. She didn‘t say a thing. I haven't visited her yet, because she appeared to be out.”
"Well that's a shame. You gonna go back later?"
"Oh yeah. Think you can handle the booth while I'm gone for more than five minutes?"
"Yeah. I can do that, boss."
"Thanks, Jack."
Just then, another set of children come by the face painting booth. A little boy grins ear to ear, jumping up and down.
“Can you make me look like a dinosaur?!” He asks excitedly.
“And I want to be a tiger!” The young girl next to him says.
Farrah just laughs softly.
“Alright, kids, take a seat,” She tells them both, then turns to Jack with a smile on her face. “Back to work, for us, then.”

Spoiler: The Hidey-Hidest of Hide Boxes! (Extra Stuff!)
Titles or Ranks: Emissary of Mizushima; Retired Captain of the Tentai Senshi
Race: Aquatic Human
Nationality: Ryujin & The Sea of One Thousand Kings; The sunken island of Mizushima.
Age: 30
Appearance: Kishiko stands at five feet two inches tall and weighs a grand total of a hundred and nineteen pounds. She has a small sized, athletic build. While she may be thin, most of her weight is in muscle thanks to her martial training. Her warm ivory skin is marked with old scars and bite marks from creatures underneath the sea which have long since silvered out. Her arms and calves feature small swimming fins that fold in on themselves when shes above water.
Her long, dark sepia colored hair is often in a ponytail, touching her mid back whenever it is kept as such. Her hair touches near the back of her knee when fully let down. Sideswept fringe dusts over the right side of her face, trimmed carefully just before her eye. Her rounded eyes are Gunmetal blue in color with short lashes, waterproof eyeliner usually used to emphasis them to make them look less small. A thin dark sepia eyebrow adorns each eye. Her face is soft and rounded with small ears. Her nose is short from the profile, and wide from the front. Her lips are thick, but small.
Kishiko can usually be seen wearing one of two things. When in formal and casual situations, she is often wearing a kimono and hakama. The kimono is usually some shade of blue while the hakama is usually black. She prefers umanori because she can do sword dancing easier to impress monarchs. The kimono often depicts pictures of sea shells, mermaids, and other ocean themed patterns.
The second thing she can be seen wearing is a set of black fish scale samurai armor. The cloth trim is cyan in color and its metals trim gold. Gold trim lines most of the plates while the solid color of the plate is black. Leather straps hang downwards from the belt to cover the groin, while layered side plates made of black fish scales flank the side. Her gauntlets and boots are made from the same material as her side plates. Any cloth on the armor is cyan in color. She often carries not only two katanas while wearing this, but also brandishes a naginata. All blades have a pearlescent sheen to them. Her pants are just plain black cloth.

This is a self made, cropped version of the piece. You can see the full one here. Just imagine shades of blue in place of the reds and the blade shining like pearls.
Spoiler: Kishiko Armor Inspiration
Art Source Unknown
Just imagine this on a female instead of a male. I doubt the armor would form to the chest, however. Just imagine shades of blue in place of the reds, the black plating being black fish scales, and the blade of the naginata shining like pearls.
Weapons: A pair of pearlescent katanas that cut as easily through water as they do air. These blades are standard for her people, and she wields them with pride. She usually uses them for ceremonial purposes, but is considered to be trained with them. She also carries a naginata with her like seen in the sample of her armor. The naginata's blade is also made of the same pearlescent material as the katanas.
Creed: "We are twice armed if we fight with faith."
Personality: At her best, Kishiko is dutiful, loyal, constant, and religious. She has a remarkable ability to keep clear-headed in the worst of situations. She is also rather flexible, and can adapt to people and cultures with remote ease. She tends to view the world through rose colored glasses, and sees the world through its perfect ideal rather than what it truely is. It is because of these things that she was given her position as emissary of her people.
Kishiko is a rather formal woman, and always carries herself with pride and purpose. She is never constant. Something about herself is always developing, whether it be for the best or worst. It is because of this that one can never get a hand on her personality. One of the elements that does stay constant, however, is her high-spirit.
At her worst, Kishiko can be rather airy. She appears unintelligent because she is rather naïve with a lot of things. She doesn’t like being treated unfairly, and at times will be resentful because of it. Her romantic nature can oftentimes make her over-sentimental of certain places, people, and things. She is also rather melancholic, and when on her own can appear sad and pensive to those observing her.

Skills and Talents: Kishiko is a rather skilled individual, but has only truly mastered a few things. She is only average when it comes to katana use. Her true martial skill shows the most when she uses her naginata, the weapon she has trained with all her life. In addition to both of these, she learned the art of sword dancing. She claims to have taken it up to impress courts on diplomatic missions.
In addition to those, she also has a variety of divine abilities. She is a paragon of Hebitsukai-Za, or the goddess her people mostly worship. This gives her an increased ability to heal others. It also blesses her with immunity to all diseases magical, supernatural, or natural. This is so she can more easily focus on healing and protecting the sick, weak, and lame. She has also been granted the ability to judge a persons character with a glance. The final thing she was blessed with was immunity to magically induced fear.
The last set of skills she has are ones given to her upon birth called Ningyo no koi, known in common tongue as The Love of the Mermaid. This was blessed to her people by their goddess, Hebitsukai-Za. This made her people are amphibious, giving them the ability to breathe on land and under water. It also gives her small swimming fins that are featured on her calves and forearms. These flatten whenever she leaves water to avoid being torn.
Spoiler: Skills/Talents broken down.
Martial Skills
Naginatajutsu: This is her baby. She loves her Naginata and most of her formal weapon training was invested into this weapon. This is her primary source of combat.
Kenjutsu: This means "the method, or technique of the sword." She went into training for this fairly late, as she took it up to represent her people rather than her main source of combat. She is still fairly decent with it, however, but nothing extraordinary.
Sword Dancing: This is a skill she learned to impress the nobles, courts, and royalty. She uses this purely for diplomatic reasoning and chooses not to profit off of it.
Divine Talents
Paragon of Hebitsukai-Za: Kishiko is a paragon for her people's god, Hebitsukai-Za. Healing effects are increased, and she gains the ability to remove diseases once a week. She is also immune to disease so she can focus better on healing the ill and lame. Paragons of Hebitsukai-Za need to be prepared to try and heal the ill, and they can't do that if they are sick themselves.
Prepared Spellcasting: Kishiko has to prepare her spells daily, preferably at sunrise, for an hour. However, she can only choose from a selective list of spells.
Intuitive Eyes: She can tell weither or not someone is a good or bad person just by looking at them.
Courage of the Heavens: Kishiko is immune to magically induced fear.
Ningyo no koi
Amphibious: Breathes equally well on land and water.
Flattening Fins: Her calves and forearms featured small swimming fins that fold flat whenever they leave water. They can be seen if she moves her arm the right way in certain outfits.
Banes: While Kishiko does well with martial combat and divine magics, she has never had any real experience fighting spell casters. Though she has had training on how to fight them, it has been a long time since she last had that training. She is also very inexperienced fighting those with drake powder weaponry.
Biography: Kishiko Iachi is the child of Youko Omina and Kenshin Iachi, retired lower class foot soldiers for the Mizushiman Army. She was born third order of four children, and is the only female. She has two older brothers named Haruki and Kiyoshi, and a younger brother named Hideaki. At a young age, all four children decided to follow in the footsteps of their grandfather, Ryota Omina, and become Tentai Senshi, or holy warriors of the people of Mizushima. This is a path that their mother, Youko, tried to follow in her youth and never succeeded in. Whenever the children reached age fifteen they moved to their grandfather’s monastery for training.
The four siblings attempted to train under their grandfather only to find that Kishiko was the only one who felt the same celestial call as him. Both Kishiko and Ryota followed the teachings under the sign of Hebitsukai-Za, their peoples ancient mermaid savior. Ryota taught young Kishiko a great deal about healing, astronomy, disease removal, and the code of honor that they must abide by as followers of Hebitsukai-Za. However, after a year of training underneath her grandfather, Ryota was killed in action trying to defend the city from a monster raid. There was no proper funeral and his body was never recovered.
Determined now more than ever after her grandfathers death, Kishiko went on to finish her training, working around the clock to try and complete it. This inspired awe in her colleagues, impressed her family, and amazed her mentors. It also brought on the jealousy of her rival, Shinobu Eissi. She completed her training in just two years, much to the ire of Shinobu. Kishiko finished her training as a Tentai Senshi when she was only seventeen years old. However, she continued to try and hone her skills to perfection even after she completed training.
Kishiko quickly raised through the ranks of the Tentai Senshi with determination and hard work. Shinobu Eissi always seemed to be one step behind her, and this infuriated him. Eventually the two were both first lieutenants. This pleased Shinobu for a while, but his anger toward her would finally come to a head after it was announced she was being promoted to the rank of captain. At the official ceremony to celebrate her promotion, Shinobu attacked Kishiko and attempted to kill her. After five minutes of blade against blade, Shinobu’s body collapsed on the stage. Kishiko attempted to revive him, but all that happened was his wounds closed. She postponed the ceremony until a later date, too distraught to finish it. It had been the first time she had ever had to kill one of her own people.
Kishiko obtained the title of Captain just five years after her initial training. While this was a great achievement, fate had greater things in store for her. Two years later, she was asked to attend the coronation of the island nation’s current monarch, Queen Inara Arroshol. After the coronation there was a grand ball to celebrate the title of the new Queen. When Queen Inara made her rounds to converse with her guests, she got caught up in talking to Kishiko for an extended period of time. Queen Inara was impressed by the young woman’s sense of duty, her spirit, and her ability to envision for the people of Mizushima. The two talked for hours before Inara realized that she had not greeted some of her other guests, and insisted that Kishiko return to the palace the next evening so they could speak more.
The two became great friends. Such great friends, in fact, that Queen Inara made Kishiko an unofficial advisor. She would often consult with Kishiko on important matters such as finances, trade, and politics. While Kishiko did not always have the necessary knowledge behind most matters, she would often come up with practical solutions to problems, and envision the possibilities if they took certain courses of actions. This saved Queen Inara from making horrible mistakes more times than she cares to admit. Still, whenever she did make a mistake Kishiko would console her, and tell her that as long as she learned from it that was all that mattered.
Two years after their initial meeting, Queen Inara invited her on a diplomatic mission to a neighboring island nation which they were having trouble with. Their trade routes were being disrupted by the cannons on the island, and it had sunken two of their trade ships within six months. While that is not normally an issue to their people, some of the goods were ruined and there were casualties from other races aboard the ships. Mizushima was about to declare war whenever Kishiko managed to help mediate between the countries. She proposed a small fee to pass through the neighboring island nation’s territory. She also suggested that allowing Mizushiman ships in their ports could boost the economy of the neighboring nation. This suggestion worked out for both nations, and they agreed to sign a treaty. After the treaty was signed, Queen Inara asked Kishiko to become an emissary for Mizushima. It was a duty that Kishiko graciously accepted.
For the past six years, Kishiko has been going nation to nation as the diplomat for Mizushima. She has established four trade routes, re-solidified relationships with five nations, and settled fourteen diplomatic disputes. While she is considered to be retired as a Captain of the Tentai Senshi because of her duties as an Emissary, she still hones her combat skills and mentor others in the monastery she was trained in whenever she is at home. Kishiko is always looking for ways to improve and better herself. Whether it be on the battlefield, or in the courts. Whatever duty calls of her, she will do it loyally until the day she dies.
Spoiler: Roleplay Sample; The Journey to Sanctuary
“Hoist the sails!”
The swaying of these ships always made Kishiko nauseated. The way the ocean cradled the ships was something akin to that of an over-enthusiastic child rocking their new baby sibling to sleep. It was just a little bit too rough and it was vomit inducing. Still, Kishiko tried to keep her ears sharp, listening to the captain give his men instructions. He had been conversing with her on and off the entire trip to Sanctuary, and she was eager to get there. She didn’t quite understand that she could take the swaying of the sea underneath the waves, but when she was above them she was prone to becoming ill. Of all the things you think a holy warrior could cure, one of the rare things they couldn’t was motion sickness.
“So you said you were heading to Sanctuary a few days ago. Did you ever say why?” The captain pipes up toward her.
She had told him several times already, but he was prone to forgetting. Kishiko had half made it a fact in her mind that the man must be drinking whenever he isn’t within sight of her. He was constantly stumbling around, and his breath often smelt of booze. Thankfully, the weathered man wasn’t the one navigating, otherwise there would be issues.
“There is a Summit in Sanctuary that I direly need to attend,” she tells the captain, slowly turning to face him as her fingers grip the rail of the ship.
“A summit? Why do you need to get to the top of a high peak? That’s suicide!”
Kishiko went to correct him, but ended up almost vomiting. She paused for a moment to collect her breath, then looked toward him again, locking her blue eyes to his. She offered a polite smile, and ignored his silly comment. After all, she was a passenger on this ship, and she didn’t want to make the man feel foolish. She then began to speak to him.
“I am going on behalf of Queen Arrashol to the Summit. Leaders from all corners of Haelorin will be attending to discuss matters of peace and-”
“Why would you want to climb a tall mountain to meet with the leaders of the world? That just seems silly! And putting them on a tall mountain that they could fall off of, well,” The Captain interrupts, taking a pause. “That is just asking for trouble.”
“I do not question her majesty’s orders, Captain. I merely follow them. She is my queen, after all,” Kishiko drolls, having given up on trying to explain this to the man. “Regardless, when shall we arrive at Sanctuary?”
The captain whistles up to the man in the crows nest.
“HEY! When are we arriving at Sanctuary?” He yells upwards.
“In about two hours time, Captain!” The man responds.
At that point the captain looks back toward her, and parrots the information she just heard. She nods politely.
“Thank you, Captain,” She says, bowing forward.
“Not a problem at all, madam emissary!” He tells her, bowing in return.
Not long after that, the captain turns and walks on back toward the wheel, barking orders at his men all along the way. Kishiko turns and looks back out toward the sea, leaning on the railing with her elbows. She props her face in her hands, looking off toward the direction she knows Sanctuary will be appearing from. She couldn’t help but to feel like something was going to go awry. Something deep in the pit of her stomach that made her ill. The heavy emotion that went with it was the only thing that helped her differentiate it from the sea sickness. Still, she tried to remain idealistic. With hope, perhaps a new era of peace would come to Haelorin under the golden spires of Sanctuary. While she could not guarantee that this would happen, she could most certainly try. The fate of her nation, and Haelorin, depended on it.

Kishiko means "child of the seashore" in Japanese.

Spoiler: Mizushima
Mizushima, the sunken pearl
Mizushima was once a part of Greater Ryujin before the Shattering. Unlike Ryujin, the city had not a protector with great power. Whenever Ansyf the Mad's power came to a head, the island split from the continent and sank into the sea. It's people would find themselves being sucked into a spiraling whirlpool, the bodies sliding downwards into a deep abyss.
A savior that they refer to as Hebitsukai-Za saved the people from certain doom. She was a mermaid who rode upon a great water serpent. Hebitsukai-Za spun counter clockwork around the island country and prevented it from sinking entirely. The spin of the leviathan saved the people, but the magics used by the mermaid but caused a mutation in Mizushimans. They call it Ningyo no koi, or Love of the Mermaid. This mutation caused their calves and forearms to gain small swimming fins that fold flat whenever they leave water, making their people amphibious, and their eyes changed from brown to blue and green. Some of its people even exhibited light blue undertones to their skin, or their skin became darker, but not all. They believe this mutation to be a blessing rather than a curse.
The island country stayed hidden away until two thousand years ago. It now exists as little more than a hole in the Sea of One Thousand Kings. Those who are lucky enough to survive the drops into the depths of the city would find its people friendly. On the surface, you would think this place little more than ruins of the old city. Underneath it is where the true city lies, ever expanding across the floors of the sea.
Though it was once a part of Greater Ryujin, it has slightly changed in culture over time from that of what you see Ryujin show today. Its government is considered a Constitutional Monarchy. The ability to make and pass legislation resides with an elected Parliament, not with the Monarch. The monarch must remain neutral in all matters political. Thus, royal bloodline plays only a slight part in the island's governing process. The current monarch is Queen Inara Arroshol.
Both men and women taking part in combat. Gender does not play a direct role in what one can and can not do for their country. They also keep the names they are given at birth, even after marriage. When introducing themselves to other races, they also do not give their family names, instead taking the name of their settlement as a substitute surname.
Note: Mizushimans are based upon the Aventi from the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 supplement book Stormwrack: Mastering the Perils of Wind and Wave.
Faith of Mizushima
Spoiler: Ningyo no koi
The Shade of the Mermaid
Mizushumans named their religion after the same blessing that kept them alive thousands of years ago. They still hold some belief in the Old Ways, but after the interference of Hebitsukai-Za, they believe themselves able to harness and draw from the power of the spirits. They claim that she was the first Tentai Senshi, or celestial warrior. This sparked an entire order of holy warriors that drew from the power of the Old Ways to become paragons for their people. Those who obtain great power and do the most good are believed to ascend entirely and be worshiped by the order after death.
Those who follow the religion of Ningyo no koi follow a code of honor. Firstly they have to protect their community, even at great detriment to themselves. The second is that they must protect the surrounding undersea life from contamination and destruction from the above world, lest fate repeat itself twice. Third is that they must respect and honor other traditions and customs so long as it does not interfere with the above two rules, even if they don't necessarily always agree with them.
Spoiler: The Tentai Senshi
These are the holy paragons of Mizushima. They protect not only the surrounding marine life, and the city of Mizushima, but they also heal the sick, and protect the lame and weak of the community. They often use pearlescent blades that cut easily through water, and wear unencumbering armor made from fish bones and scales. Those who wear metal armor underneath the water are to be feared, as they are considered heavily blessed by the paragon they represent. It is said that their blades and armor, no matter how heavy, are said to not effect them. They are trained for both underwater combat and above ground combat, and they do equally well in both settings.
Tentai Senshi are trained in large monasteries on the corners of their city. Whenever the city expands, the monastery expands until it is surrounded. They often end up designed like long strips of coral gardens amidst a sea of buildings. They can hold anywhere from five hundred to two thousand paragons a piece. Each warrior is paired with a paragon mentor to train them in the ways of using their celestial abilities. Martial skills are taught by separate trainers. Tentai Senshi training can take anywhere from one to six years, depending on the skill of the apprentice paragon.
Military rank structure of the Tentai Senshi is very similar to that of modern day U.S Army. While Mizushima does have more soldiers, the Tentai Senshi are their primary source of defense. The city is most often attacked by sea abominations, or creatures they otherwise can not control rather than above surface interference. The extra abilities of the Tentai Senshi often times help more in these situations than their standard armed forces. Most foot soldiers in the Mizushiman Army are highly encouraged to consider becoming Tentai Senshi for this reasoning alone.
Technology
Spoiler: Celestial Lighting
Since magic is rare and it can get dark underneath the surface of the water long before nighttime, they rely on divine energy to power their lights. Holy spells are usually cast and made permanent in lanterns so that they never extinguish. This allows Mizushimans to continue their work until the wee hours of the evening.
Spoiler: Other Technology of Note
Other than the above, there really is no noticeable differences in technology. They share a lot of the same resources as the rest of Haelorin thanks to the trade routes they have established for a thousand years or so. While they do have drake powder, they can hardly use it under water. Mizushimans who usually use drake powder are merchant traders who run ships, or people who protect the ruins of the city above water.
