Roman was about to answer, but was interrupted by a loud crack of thunder that shook the entire building and rumbled for several seconds after. He gave a hard start, his heart suddenly racing with the unexpected sound.
"What on Earth...?" he muttered, "It's much too cold for a thunderstorm..." He turned back to Zach, a concerned frown replacing his usual friendly smile.
"Hold that thought a moment, will you?" He rose from his seat and walked around the desk to go to the front door. Just moments before, the sky had been clear and sunny. Now it was enveloped in thick, black clouds. Tornado clouds... Shocked, but still composed, Roman doubled back to the three other men in the front hall.
"Alright, everyone, this looks pretty bad," he announced, "I'm gonna have to ask you all to follow me to the storm shelter in the basement until it passes."
Misty day, remains of the Judgement...

Jamie shrank slightly at the sound of thunder that shook the municipal building. He folded his Nana’s document in half and stuck it in his back pocket.
“What’s going on out there?” he asked quietly, as he started to follow Roman.

A deafening crack jostled Nikolaj in his seat. In his surprise, he tightened his grip and crumpled the newspaper where he held it. Like Roman, he too rushed to the window and looked outside, surprised to see the weather outside had changed in what seemed to be the blink of an eye. A mixture of foreboding fright and strong curiosity boiled deep in the priest's gut. Something strange was definitely afoot.
As much as he wanted to rush back to the church and begin preparing to gather data, the conditions outside were much too dangerous. Roman was right, the storm shelter would be the safest option at the moment. Nikolaj, visibly unsettled, began to follow the others.
Currently on hiatus (possibly for good)
