I've an idea for an alien abductee (who's very human) who's been returned (exiled?) back to Earth inside of a shuttle (escape pod, no interstellar drive) that's delivered him to a field just outside of New Gatlin City.

He does have a warning, some of the tech he uses is "protected" and that tampering with it could be deadly. A device (possibly a weapon) was smuggled off the shuttle and examined in a black site lab on the opposite side of town - and that's now a crater.

Personality:
Joan is the type of person to hang back and take in every detail. She is slower to action than some. Making the right move is important to Joan, whether or not her moral compass aligns with others. For the greater good guides her actions in life.

Appearance:
Joan stands 5' 3" lean and muscular brown skin. This woman has an unremarkable feel about her.
She has expressive dark brown eyes and her medium-length, curly, black hair is un-styled and tends to hang loosely about her shoulders.
Superhero Costume:
The standard issued Protector uniform: blue and grey armor with helmet and her silver badges.
Primary Power: Invisibility- able to disappear without a trace for a cerain amount of time.
Secondary Power: Forcefields- creating shields to protect herself and others. Can also use forcefields to slam into others with blunt force. Also can be used to encapsulate others.
Tertiary Power: Echo-location. In dire needs Joan can emit high pierced screams to locate objects & people, which can also deafen others temporarily.
Weakness(es): Easily Overwhelmed Supersenses- It takes Joan extreme concentration to focus on being invisible, which heightens her senses. When overloaded with too many sounds, smells, or touches can weaken her stages of invisibility.
Origin Story:
Gatlin City is the home Joan has ever known. This was where she was raised and grew up. At a young age she knew she was different. Whenever she was scared she would just do what she called the "disappearing act". Her mother, father, school teachers, and friends would always look for her when she was standing right in plain sight. She wasn't sure how she came to learn this power, she was just able to do it if she thought hard enough. This came to her advantage as she aged because she would stealth and turn invisible to gain information and share it at a price. However, one day a Protector caught her and set her straight. Her mentor taught her she could use her powers for the greater good, to help protect people rather than harm them. Part of her probation was to study and train to join the rank of the Protectors. During her training was when she learned she could also manifest forcefields to help protect herself and others.
Joan enjoyed many years on the force with her Mentor, who gave her her superhero name. He called her Agent Blind because others could never find her.

So, I have a question. Well, a couple actually. Can we play modified cannon characters? Like say I decided to take away all but three of Danny Phantom's powers, for example.

My second question only really applies if the first one is a 'yes' answer. I also want to play Õkami Amaterasu, with modifications like a normal human form, superhero costume and taking away some of her abilities that might considered over-powered, like her ability to turn day into night and vice versa.

I’d prefer you to make characters that are only tangentially related to characters from established media. A Batman-equivalent is fine, but straight up copy and pasting a character isn’t.
