This story follows King Sylvester and Queen Arina as the two have become newly weds in a newly founded kingdom. Nestled between several larger kingdoms, the fledgling nation seeks to establish itself on the continental stage. However, threats from both within and without seek to test not only the pairs loyalty to the crown, but loyalty to each other.

Spoiler: the Newborn Kingdom of Britannia 

Britannia resides just north-of-center on the Isle of Man. This environment of the surrounding land primarily conists of grasslands with woodlands intermixed.

There are a total of 4 villages nestled within half a day's travel from Britannia's central castle. Each settlement contains anywhere from 100 to 500 people. These estimates fluctuate in the summer months and winter months. Each village has a village elder who acts as mayor, and regularly visits the castle. They often come with news of their village or requests that may be made. The names of these villages are as follows:

1. Westshannon
2. Beaconfield
3. Bakewell
4. Haywood

The capital of Britannia, Edon, is home to 1,000 people. Its people are majority English with other cultural denominations sprinkled within. Its people are often characterized as being rather humble but hardy. A majority of its people are considered to be rural, with its cultural diaspora being largely south Isle.

Britannia's institutions largely consist of the Crown and the Church. The Crown manages political and military affairs. The Church manages educational and religious affairs. The Church works closely with the Crown, this being represented in the Clergyman that regularly visits the castle. They're extremely forthcoming with information.

Spoiler: the New Moon Tithe 

Every month, on its 27th night, the moon does not return like normal. Instead, a Hollow Moon comes and so to do the Unmade Ones. These creatures of bronze and stone are nigh-shapeless, coming in varieties that exist beyond the ordinary limitations of an animal. Their intelligence is close to a man's, with their problem-solving skills being on par with a child's. Their aggression is lethal when coming before men, and feast wantonly on them. They do not feast on wildlife or livestock. It is highly advisable that citizens are to stay indoors during the New Moon Tithe.
