Haiku Writing Contest

So, haikus. They're a bit trickier than poems, because they have a few established "rules".

hai·ku
ˈhīˌko͞o,ˌhīˈko͞o/
noun
- a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
- an English imitation of this.

So it'll look something like this:

The last winter leaves
Clinging to the black branches
Explode into birds.

As it is RPApril, and haikus tend to have a focus on nature, for this challenge, you will need to include the word "green" into your haiku (a single syllable word).

I am not picky about the rest of the content - be creative and imaginative!

You have all month now
to complete the task at hand

- Deadline: April 30th
- Number of entries: Unlimited
- How: Three Staff judges will choose a singular winning haiku.
- Include the word "green" into your haiku.

SUBMISSIONS: There is no limit on the number of submissions, entries must be the original work of the author, be previously unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere for the entire time period it takes to complete the judging.
