David's face completely fell when Jimmy started crying. He sniffled too, feeling Jimmy's emotions crash into him all at once as he finally lost it. "Shit...." He murmured. "I'm going to get more ice for you." He got up and quickly made his way to the kitchen to see if he could get more ice.

Jimmy shook his head and rubbed his eyes. He knew it was stupid, but he just wanted a hug from his mother right now. "D-David... Maybe I need a real doctor after all..."
David shook his head as he came back. "If you get a doctor, then we will have to go home. And you'll be in so much trouble."

Jimmy sniffled and hugged himself as best he could, pulling up his knees. He knew David was right. He could never go home. "...I'm scared," he said softly.
"I know." David said softly, sitting next to his friend and holding more ice packs to his arm. "But we'll think of something. This can't be too bad."

After a few moments of silence, Jimmy started yawning, and his eyes got a little droopy. His grip on his arm loosened a bit and he looked out the window, just sniffling occasionally.
When Jimmy yawned, David saw his chance. "Go to bed. I'll help you." He said. "I'll even make sure the ice packs stay on your arm." He tried to help him up as best he could.

Jimmy winced a little, but let him help him and nodded. He let David lead him to the bedroom, and lay down on the bed with some painful grunts but no other forms of protest.
David helped get Jimmy settled into bed, making sure to prop up his arm as best he could on a pillow. He did his best to not look concerned. He just needed Jimmy to fall asleep so he could try to heal him with magic. He saw his dad do it so it couldn't be that hard.

Jimmy sniffled softly and closed his eyes, hugging himself with his good arm. "...Are you sure about this?" he asked with a quivering voice, scared he would need a doctor after all and he was messing up by waiting.
