Keith frowned and looked at Madam. “You know the ONLY reason I made him join you was because I was young and stupid. I didn’t know what to do with him.” He said and took a calm step back to give her space. “Also, as an old friend, you should have talk to ME, the FATHER, before hurting him the way you did. I have half a mind to pack up those kids and move them.”
Victor frowned a little. “You aren’t taking my kid anywhere. Go get her up, now! I can deal with her!”
The Madam pinched the bridge of her nose and held a hand up to Victor in hopes of shutting him up. She kept her eyes on Keith.
"Listen, I understand the inconvenience, but I have my coven to think of. I cannot give him special treatment. It would create inequality and resentment. Emrys messed up, he messed up to the extreme. He is old enough to bear the consequences of his actions." Just then, Emrys' mother stepped outside. She had heard her husband raise his voice, but froze when she saw who was out there.
"...You should leave," she said darkly, balling her fist. "I should have never let Emrys go to you! How dare you!"
Keith sighed and shook his head. He was about to respond when his wife came out. He bit his lip and turned to face her. “Hey, let me deal with this. You go back inside and I’ll be there in a minute.” He said and kissed her cheek. “Or you can be out here with me if you will be quiet.”
He said and turned back to Madam. “And just how many more consequences do you plan on giving him? He understands that he fucked up. I’ll punish him if that’s what it takes. I’ll beat his ass if I need to, but YOU have done enough to him.” He said and glanced to Victor. “You’re right, I can’t do anything about Tulay, she’s in YOUR coven and she’s not my kid, but as for my Son he’s out. He lives with me and I don’t want him in your presence anymore. I’ll go get Tulay for you.” He said and let his wife back into the house, grabbing her back the arm, hard enough so she couldn’t get free but not enough to hurt her.
The Madam sighed with frustration and followed them inside.
"Keith, I understand your concern, but unfortunately you do not have the authority to pull him out. Emrys is an adult, if he wants out, he can leave. He is not my prisoner. But while he is under my leadership, he is my responsibility, as is the rest of the coven and its balance. I will no apologise for what I've done, nor will I stop." Emrys' mother had been biting her tongue as her husband had asked, but now she glared at Madam Minoes with fire behind her eyes.
"You won't apologise? You've MAIMED my son!"
"Eleanor," The Madam said calmly, holding up her hands. "He KILLED mine."
"It was an accident!"
"It doesn't matter. The result is the same."
Keith bit his lip and looked at his wife. “Honey, I need you to please shut up.” He told her and led her to Emrys’s old room. “Let me deal with this.” He said and turned back to Madam.
“You have no idea how sorry he is for what he did.” He told her softly and ran a hand through his hair. “Sometimes people do things they normally wouldn’t do when they get scared.” He then got back to what she said. “And then what are you going to do to him if he does leave!?”
Unfortunately, Tulay being a mom, she woke up to the yelling. She sniffled and let tiny tears roll down her face. Why wasn’t Victor stopping this? Why had he chosen Madam?
Eleanor crossed her arms and reluctantly held her tongue. The Madam listened to Keith intently, trying to make it clear she wasn't here to be his enemy.
"Depending on the circumstances of his leaving, I'd either let him go as he pleases, or if I saw the need to, I'd erase his memories of the coven. I'd have to seriously take the safety of the remaining members into account, as I'm sure you'd understand."
Keith nodded his head and sighed. “I’ll be back. Please go sit on the couch.” He said and made his way to the bedroom where the kids were sleeping. Though he didn’t know that Tulay was already awake.
He went to Emrys and shook his arm. “Son, get up.” He said, honestly not sure if he would wake.
Victor sighed a little and ran his hands through his hair. “We need a plan for them to give me my kid.”
The Madam sighed and followed Eleanor to the living room. She looked at Victor and shook her head.
"He will give you Tulay. He's just concerned."
Emrys groaned, only half waking up. "Wh-... What is it?" he asked groggily.
Victor nodded his head and sighed. “He better give her to me.” He said and closed his eyes. “I’m going to beat the mess out of her for this.”
Keith sighed and shook him again. “Get up, it’s time for you to tell your leader that you want out of the Coven.”
The Madam looked at him. "When I suggested corporeal punishment, I never suggested to do it indiscriminately. What has she done to deserve it? Be protected by Keith? Sleep?"
Emrys frowned and rubbed his face before propping himself up on his elbows. "W-What do you mean...? I don't want out."
