Tulay smiled and nodded her head. “Thank you so much.” She said and listened. “I think my fella is up.” She grinned and got up to go greet him.
Keith sighed and nodded his head. “Yeah, but be careful, please.” He said and smiled as Tulay came in. “I’m going to see about getting you two some coffee and food before your bosses get here.” He said and walked out to let the two be alone.
Emrys nodded and looked at Tulay as she came in. He smiled a little and pulled her into a hug.
"Hey... Are you okay?"
Tulay nodded her head, honestly. “Your Mom and I got into it, but we are fine now.” She said and hugged him back. “Are YOU okay?” She asked him as she looked up at him.
He smiled a little and kissed her forehead. "Yeah, I'm... I don't know. I'm dreading today."
Tulay nodded her head and sighed. “Me too, I’m going to be so worried about you.” She whispered to him. “I want to quit, but we need to help out. The world would be so much better.”
Emrys nodded. "I can't quit. Not after what I did."
Tulay sighed and looked down. “It was my fault, not yours.” She tried to reason and went to go sit on the bed. “You did it to protect me.”
He shook his head. "You were minding your own business. You tried to reason with him. You did everything right. But I... The madam was right. I should have done anything else."
Tulay sighed and got back off the bed. “Let’s just go eat and get this shit over with.” She told him softly and walked out of the room. “I’m not even hungry. I’m so scared I’m sick.”
Emrys grabbed her hand to stop her and gently laid his hands on her face. "Hey... I know. I'm scared too. But we'll get through this," he said and gently kissed her.
