Tulay let him stop her. She looked into his eyes and kissed him in return. Though it wasn’t long before some tears that came from her eyes got his hands wet. Though she tried to keep her crying silent as they kissed.
Tulay let him stop her. She looked into his eyes and kissed him in return. Though it wasn’t long before some tears that came from her eyes got his hands wet. Though she tried to keep her crying silent as they kissed.
Emrys stroked her cheeks with his thumbs, wiping away her tears. He pulled back a little and looked at her. "It'll be okay. It will."
Tulay shook her head and sniffled a little bit. “It won’t.” She said and wiped her eyes the rest of the way. “Let’s go eat I guess.” She said and started to make her way out of the room.
Emrys sighed softly, but nodded and followed her out. In the kitchen, his mother was just finishing up the bacon and eggs, and setting the table. She smiled gently at Tulay as she walked in, though it faded when she saw her expression.
"What's wrong?"
Tulay frowned a little and took a deep breath in. “I…. Can’t…. Breathe….” She said and started to hyperventilate. “Panic…. Anxiety…. Attack…” She said and started to bend over. Everything was just too much and she needed a much needed break from life.
Emrys' eyes widened and he helped her down to the floor gently. "Mom, get some water!" he said before holding her and muttering a stabilising spell.
Tulay looked at Emrys as she felt a spell being put on her. She felt her body start to calm down a little bit. “D-Do we…. Have to do… this?” She asked him, referring to the mission. “It doesn’t have to be our problem.”
Emrys' mother knelt down with them and handed Tulay a glass of water, looking concerned. Emrys nodded at her and encouraged Tulay to drink it.
"...It has to be mine. I have to do what I can to make this right. But it doesn't have to be yours," he said softly. "I'll be okay. If you want to go find Volcan... I'd understand."
Tulay sniffled and took a drink of the water. Though at the mention of Volcan she spit her water back into the cup and started sobbing again. “I can’t bring him home to all this shit!” She said and closed her eyes tightly. “Plus I can’t leave you here alone with Victor.” She said and soon heard a knock at the door. “That must be them.” She said and watched as Keith answered the door.
“Come on in, you two.” He said to Victor and Madam, stepping aside. “We are having a hard time getting them to eat and stuff this morning.”
Victor shook his head and walked over to Tulay. “You did all this to yourself. You know all I’ve ever wanted from you was for you to be honest. So dry it up. We have work to do.” He said and leaned against the bar. “You know that is my BIGGEST pet peeve is liars and secrets.”
Emrys was about to protest, but fell silent when he heard the door. He stayed by Tulay's side as the two came in, glaring at Victor for the way he spoke to her.
"You chose the wrong profession for that," he muttered through his teeth, and the Madam did not hesitate to - gently, still - whack him over the head with her morning newspaper. Emrys' mother's eyes widened with fury.
