Greg nodded. "They're the same as ever." He looked between Maeva and Roger. "So how did you two meet? They said stuff about you both on the news but now that you're sitting here in front of us, I don't know what to believe." Roger smiled a bit.
"Well, it certainly wasn't the most romantic of meetings. We met at the mental hospital. I worked there and Maeva was a patient." He scratched the back of his neck. "Things... Were a little nuts at first."

Addison bit her lips and looked at Maeva.
"You were... locked up?" Maeva looked at her and nodded slowly.
"Yes, well... They were right to. For a good while there, I was... I was possessed." Addison's eyes widened and she glanced at Greg.
"Like... demonic possession? That's real...?"
Greg shook his head in disbelief but the way that Roger and Maeva spoke about it made it difficult to not believe them. Roger nodded slowly as he looked between the two of them.
"Yeah. It's real. It both is and isn't what you see in the movies. I had recognized that Maeva wasn't truly crazy and that something else was running around in her body. So I did my best to help her." He didn't want to admit to the fact that his meddling also could have killed Maeva but this wasn't really the time or place to really delve deep into that topic. "Once she was rid of the demon, we had to go on the run since she was technically a runaway convict."

Addison took a deep breath and nodded slowly. "W-Wow... I see. Gods, that's awful," she whispered and took Greg's hand. "Are you two okay now? In a safe place and all?"
"as long as we don't attract too much attention, yes. We're safe." He nodded. "Yeah. We're safe"

Maeva smiled slightly and squeezed Roger's hand. Addison didn't need to know they could attract all sorts of attention if they weren't careful, not just from the police. Addison nodded, seemingly satisfied with that answer.
"Good. I'd hate for you to still be running," she said softly. "Gods, I'm... I'm so grateful that you're okay. And that you found me."
"Yeah. I'd hate for that too. We ... Worked hard to be where we're at today. And I'm also glad to finally meet her sister. You were a bright spot in Maeva's dark past."
"Well, my wife is certainly that. She's a wonderful woman and I'm lucky that she would have me." Greg said with a smile.

Addison blushed and had to fight not to start crying again.
"You guys," she murmured and got up to hug Maeva and Roger.
Roger chuckled and hugged her back. Greg smiled and stroked Addison's back as she hugged their guests.

Maeva squeezed her sister before letting go. She still couldn't quite believe how well her visit had been received, and it showed on her face. Addison smiled at her and held onto her hand a bit longer before letting go as well.
