Now I'm just trying to figure how we're going to have 'brutal and emotional death scenes' without a random alien dropping from the sky and going "Teehee! Boop, I killed someone! Bye bye!" and disappearing.

I'd describe the bloody scene that the characters discover, while sprinkling in some brief italics flashbacks of the murder depicting the dead person screaming and begging and all that horror shiz, while never actually revealing the attacker. Crime drama style.

I think I'm probably going to stitch a lot of different ideas together - sorta like mafia... but more, eh, bloody? :3 We'll just have to see. It also really depends on the person being killed, too. Of which we do not have enough... !
