I was writing for college a lot lot lot. But I was frustrated because I was writing about things I didn’t really feel like writing about. I received compliments on my work, however, so began to wonder if I actually might be okay at this putting-words-together-thingy.
I’d never written creatively before, and had never known writing to be fun. So I was curious if it could be to me and googled “write stories with other people," only to find that was actually a thing. RPA was the first site that came up in the search, so here I am.

I used to rp at a video game site that is long gone and I was bummed with it disappeared. It was several years before I got the itch to rp again. I was doing fanfiction for a while then the drive to rp came back. So I turned to Google to find a new site. Most of the ones I found were world building games which isn't really my thing. Then I stumbled on RPA.

Honestly I found this place through Google Search for general RP forums. This was the 7th down on the list or something.
People used to talk about it a great deal, so I guess that's where I heard about it.
