Luna's tail wagged but she stopped it she wasn't that happy. She liked Jinx but she wasn't sure if she liked her that much or trusted her but she did want to get out of there. Luna smiled though only a bit "Jinx eh... well I'm Luna." She thought for a second and then kept talking "I can help you guys. I heard what you said so no you don't have to repeat it. The dogs are definitely going to bark and that is a problem." Luna sighed she wanted to just leave the dogs that weren't helping where they were. That was a little heartless though. "If you let me out at night I can kill the guard. That way we'll have some time before the other guards come and even if the dog's make a fuss it won't be as bad." Luna was trying to act confident which in this case was not that hard considering her hated of humans and love of fighting. It would be a big risk though. "By the way... you wouldn't happen to be a wolf...like me." Luna knew she wasn't a 'full wolf' but she didn't feel like breaking it down.

[Toon Yoshi]

"So," Glacier said in recap. "You want me to help get the dogs free before they wake the guards, find our way out, and... I think that's it." He asked. Then turning to the other dog, "The name's Glacier if you haven't heard, hello Luna. And that might be a little too over the top, he'd awaken more before you'd kill him, I'm certain of it." He added in a nearly monotone voice.

[Gnggrn]

"Hah! gotcha girls, who's your alpha dog now?" Rusty spoke triumphantly in his delusion. He got off them after hearing about a rescue Kaylee talked about. "Rescue? You mean escape, yes?", Barked Rusty. He then turned to Hannah whispering in her ear, "But where are we going to go after that?" to which Hannah said, "Slick you worry too much, worry on how are we going to get out first." "You're right." Pretending to be a tough dog, not showing that I was actually quite tired from the physical play time, I walked towards a water bowl when suddenly, a human picked me up. Rusty panicked. "Bark! bark! bark! bark! bark!"

"There, there puppy, it is gonna be alright, you're gonna get a collar since you're a pure bred collie" His cold hands held Rusty tight as he about him to a bright room. A veterinarian turned him over, examining him left, right, up, down, center. Rusty froze stiff as a bone after they inserted one more sharp pointy thingy in his neck that hurt a lot. As the needle went in, Rusty yelped in pain. The doctor was not kind. After finishing with him, they put a red collar with a blinking light around Rusty's neck and brought him into a personal cage facing the play pen where he was.

The human locked him in a cage and said, "You're real special y'know that? There's not many pure bred dogs coming in here. Plus, pure bred dogs get adopted quick. And you're a puppy. So, when people comes in, mostly likely, you're the first to go. You'll definitely bring a handsome sum of money for us. Even if not, you're sheep dog nature will be easy for us to train you" Rusty froze in fear, not speaking, still dazed from the shot the humans call a vaccine. The female human left him.

Rusty started shivering, and shaking in fear. "But we're suppose to escape tonight...", thought Rusty in despair. Kaylee and Hannah watched him as he shivered for the next 5 minutes. "Slick, you okay?", barked Hannah across the room. Jinx noticed. "I think I'm fine,' said Rusty. Then very obviously, Jinx saw Hannah gave a sigh of relief.

Luna looked in Glacier's direction and sighed a bit. He was right she couldn't just kill the guard. After thinking for a second she spoke back "I could just wound him.... that would probably work" she still sounded authoritative but you could tell Luna was annoyed. She heard a human pick Rusty up and do stuff to him. She growled letting her fur puff up a little. The human walked past her cage and she snapped at her. Thought's ran through Luna's mind mostly about how she was going to kill any humans she saw now. She moved herself towards the cage where Rusty was and barked " pup are you ok? They didn't heard you did they?" If it was one thing Luna was extremely protective over it was pup's and what was left of her past.

[Gnggrn]

"Pup, you ok? They didn't hurt you did they?", a voice came in. Rusty was about the answer the voice when suddenly, thud, he fell sideways to the floor of the cage. He heard the humans talking when they put a needle in his neck. "This vaccine with a enhanced puppy formula should have some side effects. It'll put him to sleep for about 6 hours. Once he wakes, he should be immune to most diseases." Rusty's vision blurred as a dark mist covered his eye. Soon, he was asleep.

The same female human came in, looked into the cage and said, "Ah, I see the vaccine is working."

The dogs starred shock at the sight of this, thinking the humans have killed him.

[Okami]

Luna growled loudly thinking Rusty was dead. They killed him they just went and euthan...killed him. She thought not able to think of the word euthanized. "Those humans **** them all" She growled now ramming up against her cage. "I'll kill you all right now." The female walked by Luna's cage and spoke "oh are you upset about your friend.... we just gave him a shot he's ok." She sounded sincere but Luna wasn't buying it at all. She started pacing around angrily. They just killed that pup for no good reason. Luna was trying to get control of her emotions but she really hated it when anyone hurt them.

Glacier blinked. They had to get out of there before they all died. As the female passed by, he jumped up on the kennel with enough force to move it forward an inch as he felt his teeth slightly graze her arm as she removed it from range, it bled a little, but it wasn't what he wanted. He wanted her hand the come clean off. Killing is not right! He thought angrily

Jinx stood there in shock and growled loudly, jumping up against the cage, almost climbing out at the top but before she did she stopped herself, noticing what glacier had done. Once the human had ran off to get it treated, she knew what was going to happen next. He may be moved back to the outdoor kennels, or worse. Jinx looked closer at rusty, noticing that he was still breathing. She smiled and barked,"He's not dead, if you look closely, he's still breathing! He just passed out!"

Hannah and Kaylee panicked, finding a small hole big enough in the pen for Hannah to fit through, she squeezed through and jumped in front of the human and growled, trying to act tough. She yipped and yipped, nipping at the humans ankles.

Luna nodded when Jinx confirmed Rusty was still alive. She wagged her tail for a moment. When Hannah got out of her pen she panicked again. "Not that pup too" she muttered to herself." Luna rammed up against her cage but with little luck. Nothing happened and all it did was just make a lot of noise. She growled loudly wishing she could get out there. That's all Luna figured she needed to do get out there and attack the humans... maybe let the other dogs out. She wasn't sure about that.

[Gnggrn]

Even as I laid on the floor of the cage, voices that tingled in my ears were blurred, words were almost inaudible. I drifted in and out of subconscious. The cold floor caressed my snout. The pain at my neck was throbbing. "Oh, dash it all! At least it's a tinge of sting won't really matter to me. I'm a big dog now!" I tried moving my paw to no avail. "Argh!, MOVE RUSTY!" The drift in and out of consciousness made concentration very difficult. Then I heard a fragment Hannah and Kaylee barks. Their barks made some of the dogs fall into a frenzy.

Cages shook. The sound of dog muscle banging the metal cage doors played a symphony of encouragement and motivation. Tensions in the pound rose. Barks and howls of all styles filled the air. Humans came in spraying water from the water bottles, shouting "quiet" at the prisoners as they go. My tiny ears picked up the sound every now and then. "I had to wake up. I had to. I just had to. We're leaving tonight."

"I MUST GET UP AND ESCAPE! I will not missed this chance. Time to be an alpha dog Rusty! GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! GET UP! ........"

I chanted the mantra to myself, trying my best to concentrate. I was quite a herculean task. My breathing increased. "Yes!, I'm doing it! I'm going wake up!" As the motivation increased, my concentration decreased but I pressed on. I tried getting up. My paw in the front moved an inch. The tediousness of the moment seized me. A little light entered my eye as I tried to open them.

Beyond that, I fell into a deep sleep.

"Blast it all! This means I will have grow up myself and escape if I can't do it this time. Crap."
