General Grievous
Grievous simply ducked his head and glared at Anakin. Still as arrogant and hard-headed as ever, he thought. His fingers, although cybernetic, itched to take the white lightsaber from the other cyborg’s hands. From the looks of it, his chest was covered in a control panel. It would be unfortunate if the panel malfunctioned and left Skywalker twitching upon the ground...
Astrid and Stormfly
Astrid was lost in a storm. Thunder rattled her very bones as Stormfly tried to keep aloft. Lightning cracked the sky as Thor himself beat upon the anvil of the gods. The rain had long soaked her to the bone, her furs freezing to her skin and making sitting upright hard. Stormfly made a chirping sound and Astrid rubbed her neck.
“Come on girl... we just need to find somewhere to land...” Lightning lit up the sky once more, temporarily blinding Astrid. Thunder deafened her, and everything went dark.
—
Astrid groaned. She was warm, warmer than she’d ever felt in her life. Her eyes cracked open and she rubbed the grogginess from her face. She sat up and surveyed her surroundings. Already, sweat was beginning to trickle down her back. In front of her, a sea lighter than she’d ever seen. Behind her, a thick... forest? It wasn’t exactly like the forests she was used to, more lush and thick, with plants everywhere. Suddenly she jumped to her feet. Where was Stormfly?
“Stormfly!” She called into the thick forest. The last thing she remembered was the storm. Stormfly was nowhere in sight. She called for her dragon again. She was beginning to get desperate. Then, with the flap of wings like longship sails, Stormfly landed beside her.
“Stormfly!” She rushed to her dragon, rubbing her under the chin. Stormfly chittered cheerfully and nudged Astrid. With a hop, she was astride her dragon. She removed the thickest of her furs, leaving only her shirt, pants, and boots. She stored the furs in Stormfly’s saddlebags and clicked her tongue. The Deadly Nadder happily obliged and they leapt into the air, from there, she could see much more of the island. Suddenly, Stormfly darted back towards the forest. After a moment, Astrid heard what Stormfly had heard: voices.
Crashing through the canopy, both Viking and dragon landed amongst the voices. Astrid couldn’t believe what she saw.
“Uh... hello.”
Soren
Something was off. Soren felt it, in his gizzard. These forests were not like the ones in Tyto, or even Ambala. They were... different. Like somebody was holding a fleck just far enough away to be felt. Only, it was all around him. He shook his head, ruffling his feathers. He just needed to find another owl, someone from this area.
He cocked his head. Voices. But like everything else, they were different. Far too deep to be an owl’s, or even an eagle’s. He didn’t know if vultures could speak. Besides, these sounded bigger. Even larger than the wolves from the beyond. His wings whisked him there with nary a sound, and he lighted down on a branch. Just in time, as something huge and blue crashed through the canopy. If his eyes could have widened, they would have. It was a huge blue thing, with scales like a lizard but wings like a bat. Aboard it was... An OTHER? Those were extinct! He had seen a carcass of an Other once, high in the mountains. This one had longer hair, and the brightly colored furs were different.
Looking around, what he was shocked him even more. A few more others, two creatures that seemed to be made entirely of metal, and even a blue creature that vaguely smelled of hedgehog.
“Eep.” He nearly fell off the branch.
