Name: Tulay Fiore
First Name Meaning: "Delicate as a tulle", "Bright like the moon", or combination "Tulle moon"
Last Name Meaning: “Flower”
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: As her theme song, Tulay is Sweet but Psycho. (The psycho part comes out normally if you mess with her brother. Though she can also be that way if you mess with anybody she loves.) She has been known to be manipulative too. She’s one of those who would give you the shirt off her back one moment, then planning you murder the next.
History: At the age of seven, Tulay figured out she was a Witch. She was sitting in the floor playing with her toys when her brother, Volkan, was only two fell off the couch. She reached out her arms to lean over to catch him and when she did she saw her brother floating in the air. It’s like something natural just snapped in her and she was able to lower him down to safety. She remembered reading a book about witches and she wondered if that could be what she was. So she went to the library and started to do research. Somehow she found herself in the Coven of Victor Lee. She continued sneaking over to learn how to control her new found gift. She never let anyone know that is until she was sixteen. That person was her brother. After her parents were killed in an accident she was left to raise Volkan at just sixteen. She had to tell him and he knew not to tell anyone. Even to this day she still cares for her brother and fulfills her Witch duties.

Personality: Volkan is bluntly honest, but has the biggest heart. Anything he tells you will be for your own good.
History: Volkan’s life as a kid was pretty great. He had lot of friends and did great in school. That is until he was eleven and his parents died. That was the day his life changed. He had to be raised by his sister who was only sixteen. The sister that he had just learned was a witch. He ran away when he was twelve. He went to an island and befriended a girl who taught him how to cope with all his problems and convinced him to go home. Once he was home to started to work out and basically became your run of the mill beach boy. He opened his own surf shop and gave surf lessons to people as a form of therapy. Though he NEVER let another soul know his sisters secret. Not even his sisters best friend.

Personality: Victor is an introvert and pretty standoffish. Though he tends to come out of his shell for “his” children.
History: Victor was born into a family of witches. He learned from a very young age what he was. Though he didn’t like it. He wanted to be just a normal person. His family didn’t like that so they banished him. He tried to stop his powers, but he didn’t know how. So he became something he didn’t even want to be. He became a Coven leader when he was only twenty years old. Though three years later was when Tulay came into his life. He never had a girlfriend, wife, pleasure partner, or kids. He was completely against it. He didn’t want to risk passing IT down. He didn’t want to bring any more witches into the world. Though when Tulay’s parents died, he took in her and her brother as his own. Though he never showed his face to anyone with the risk of running into another Coven leader.

Name: Emrys Griffin
First name meaning: Merlin
Last name derived from griffon, the mythical creature
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Personality: playful, spontaneous and impulsive. He'd tease you to no end, but only with your permission.
History: Emrys was born to non-magical parents, but his family has always been acutely aware of the existence of witches and warlocks, for the gene runs in their blood. When Emrys was born and the hereditary gift had once again reared its blessed head, his parents were overjoyed. He has known he is a warlock for as long as he can remember, and he knows just as well to keep it a secret. He was named after one of the greatest warlocks in history.
Emrys and Tulay have been best friends since they were both very little. Though they live in different villages, there is a large school in between them that they both used to attend, and a huge lake that served as an after school playground for the kids. Both Tulay and Emrys have graduated school by now, and have started their adult lives, which is partly why for the past year they have grown apart a little bit. Tulay has grown a bit more reserved since her parents passed away as well, keeping busy with this and that. Emrys doesn't really know how to comfort her through this tremendous loss, so he tries to give her her space. That's not too difficult to do, because he's quite busy himself: a couple of months ago his parents convinced the esteemed Madam Minoes to take him into her coven, a little ways outside of his village. He spends a lot of time there, and as such has built up a strong physique lately from making the commutes there and back, and working a job on the side as a novice blacksmith in his father's shop.

Personality: ambitious, determined, meddlesome, and loyal to a fault.
History: He was born several villages away, and as soon as he showed any signs of magical abilities, his parents tried to drown him in the bath. He managed to escape and fled his house with nothing but the clothes on his back, and by accident (or destiny?) stumbled into the arms of Madam Minoes. She took him in and taught him everything he knows, and everybody in the coven knows he has a good chance at being appointed the next coven leader should Madam Minoes ever come to perish. Avan himself sees this as his life's goal, and has been talking with Madam Minoes about this mysterious other coven that seems to exist in the next village over for a while when Emrys joins. Avan wholeheartedly believes this other coven is up to no good, which makes it a bit of a sting when the new guy gets appointed to keep tabs on them instead of him...

Name: Madam Minoes (named after a witch who can turn into a cat)
Age: 43
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Personality: Strict, just, and terribly smart. She commands respect and rules her coven with an iron fist if necessary. If any of the young witches or warlocks under her wing get out of line, she's not scared to let them know, sometimes verbally, sometimes physically, sometimes magically. But if you are on her good side, she's one of the most warm and caring people you will ever meet.
History: She has been honing her skills since she was a little girl, and is the last living member of her family. The others were murdered by 'concerned citizens' in her home town, which has made her extremely cautious and careful about letting anybody know about her nature or that of any of her coven members. This is why she sees the least risk in appointing the new boy as a spy: he would have the least secrets to spill should he get caught. She is esteemed among specific magical families, to her discomfort, though she takes some pride in her honorary position. She is rumoured to be stronger than her entire coven combined, and while people might envy her for her power, they all look up to her and devote themselves to her teachings in hopes to one day be as strong as her.
