kiesse, one thing you can do is upload your image to a host site like photobucket.com or imageshack.us, and then post it as an image here. Maybe that'll help?

Picmonkey allows people to compress their file size I used it a lot with pictures.

Is THIS a scan? If so, try a re-scan as a gray-scale image, or even in color. Set the DPI to 300 at minimum for your own sake of a high quality, Photobucket automatically resizes the images uploaded. It looks like you attempted to scan lead & graphite as a solid black & white image... When that happens the grays & little details get washed out. There are also darkness settings you can adjust as well, try to always make a preview image first so you can see how the result will look after a proper scan.

If this is a Xerox kind of copy... Then I really have no answers except to seek out the original & follow my above advice for a gray-scale scan.

yes it was a scan it juswt didn't pick up the outline of the artwork i'll fiddle with my scanner and rescan it :(
