    Default Gowi’s Characters and Concepts

If the title is no indication this is a thread where I will post character sheets to work on, archive, or display for viewing. If I get a few pages of options I will probably edit in a table of content but for now this is decidedly blank.

    Happy viewing.

Default Sibela Zheitk: Experienced Hylian Guard

    Sɪʙᴇʟᴀ

“Fear is good. It proves you're still alive.”

    Name
    Sibela Zheitk

    Species
    Hylian

    Gender
    Female

    Appearance
A quintessential Hylian, Sibela Zheitk is still appears fairly well despite a decade or so of hardening and conditioning by facing the ire of criminals in the streets of Hyrule. The Zheitk dynasty has had its fair share of opportunistic adventurers, hireswords, and village rangers thus making Sibela’s pedigree of a warrior creed not at all out of character. However despite her formidability she is not particularly large (five foot seven). Despite this she does have a refined strength due to her time conditioning and wielding weaponry and basic armor. Sibela is used to wielding weapons and when off-duty does not go far from her blade, even in non-threatening environments; said blade is a well-crafted sword of Hylian make that lacks much for appearance due to her former rank in the Hylian Guard.

    Personality
Perhaps what represents Sibela the most is the tenacity to persevere and be resilient against all that the world throws at her. From surviving in the slums of Castle Town to Ganondorf’s assault on Hyrule Castle; she is most definitely resilient. Most people who have survived even a fraction of her experiences have turned out darker, bleaker, and pessimistic individuals but Sibela holds on to her ideals that have made her survive as long as they have; these ideals representing hope, bravery, and determination. But being hopeful and optimistic does not mean Sibela is naïve by any means; she’s witnessed death, misery, hopelessness, and dread; she knows how the world works and the consequences of those who try to survive in the shadow of Ganondorf’s tyranny. So it is with a clear mind she travels, holding on to the courage that allows her to move forward; courage that exists to inspire. The world may be a blackened wasteland, but if you don’t let the world define you perhaps you can push for a better one.

Expanding on Sibela’s optimism lies a cheery, albeit weary smile that exudes a personality of fearlessness, quirk, and kindness. As aforementioned this is a way Sibela can move forward for if she allows the darkness to consume her then she will be nothing and those who depend on her will have no reminder of the world as it once was. It is, that in actuality, Sibela’s whole reason for giving a pseudo-façade for people to witness—the world you knew and the world you deserve is not dead as long as you are alive. Sibela cannot believe her brothers are dead, nor that Ganondorf is undefeatable. She refuses that belief and will fight anyone who dares to suggest it.

    Background
Sibela grew up in the slums of Hyrule’s capital, her father falling into poverty soon after the death of his wife and the birth of Sibela’s twin siblings, Rokon and Dozal. However, the children of Turuk would soon find themselves in peril as their father looked to a man named Mozas for help. Mozas was a shifty merchant who allowed loans in exchange for favors and debt, but in the slums of the capital there was hardly many opportunities. Mozas told Turuk he had six cycles of a year to pay him back, but when the time came up and all of the income earned back (and ready to be exchanged) was stolen Mozas was not pleased and told his men to clean up his loose end—a fate Turuk knew would be coming as he sent his children to hide as enforcers came upon him in an alleyway of the slums as his children were hidden nearby. The end result was tragic and Sibela and her brothers would never forget.

With her father losing their life to Mozas and his “kindness”, it left Sibela and her two siblings alone and distraught within the slums of Hyrule’s capital. The hate burning within the thirteen year old girl was strong and it was with that strength that she dedicated herself to keeping her family alive by any means that were not relying on the merchant and con man who had ruined their lives. Though the difficult of such a task was hardly easy and the challenge changed throughout ever day thereon as it seemed she would be doomed to the life of a street urchin. There were days where she wanted to end it all and wallow in the shadows of the Hyrule cemetery— to take the sword of her ancestors and kill herself as well as what remained of her family before the gods in an act of desperate hopelessness. Her father’s stories about heroism, prevailing against the darkness, and the mythic tales of the hero of Hyrule himself kept Sibela from not committing such a thing and in the coming years she would come to be glad for it.

In the following weeks, Sibela would find her destiny changed as she picked the pockets of an off-duty guardsman named Ukal who chased the young Hylian straight back to her den where her brothers found themselves starving and in ill shape. Assuming Ukal was going to take back his food and coin from his rucksack she had there in an instant instinctively retrieved the sword she had kept hiding nearby in case she would ever need to use it. Ukal was decidedly amused, but enraged as well—but he was not angered by Sibela, but rather the circumstances where these children would need to do such a thing. It was there he adopted the children before him and began his odd mentorship of Sibela herself. It was here not too long after Sibela had considered ending their lives that they found their hope and a new home to live in, it nearly broke the young girl’s emotions flat.

Ukal saw great promise in the child who wielded a sword to protect herself and others with no hesitation, and knew great things would come out of her if he could guide her. This would in part begin Sibela’s training to become a guardsman in the shadow of this mentor that Ukal would become—though it would be several years before she would join the ranks of that aforementioned guard. Her soon-to-be mentor’s training was admittedly fierce and unforgiving, but she knew that if she could survive her father’s death at the hands of a vicious murderer then she could power through this and perhaps bring Mozas to justice much like Ukal brought other motley criminals to justice every day. Sibela never complained about it, her eyes on the end goal of bringing her nemesis to justice and her father’s death avenged.

Several years later, Sibela found herself recruited to be a member of the town guard of the capital. Within the early years within the guard she found her training by Ukal had prepared her far greater than others of her equivalent age who had only been taught the basics by the required training courses. Sibela’s drive for justice given to her from her childhood earned her a rigid reputation from the younger recruits who were more loose and playful, who had only joined the guard for the income that it provided (even if said income was not too grandiose); said rigid reputation was shot back with ire by the female Hylian who found her youthful comrades as “lazy” and “lacking purpose and drive”. In the early years of her role as a guard she found herself investigating Mozas himself, which had become a decrepit old man who had nearly lost all of what he had only a decade and a half earlier; an appearance that made Sibela nearly amused with pity. It wasn’t an easy job and turning Mozas in helped a bit of her pain, though his former partners in crime were still out there and the ones that played a part in her father’s death and ruin would be ones she would spend a near decade bringing down.

Time had passed, and her mentor had retired; her brothers were adults now, fashioning into careers of their own (Rokon had become an adventurer like his grandfather and Dozal had become a hiresword for a reputable guild) and much of the justice that she had vowed to bring had been brought. Mozas sat in a Hylian stockade and much of his accomplices had fallen into a similar fate, disappeared, or died resisting arrest. Life had pretty much settled and was as good as it could be—until the whole world went up in flames. The world was in peril at the hands of Ganondorf once again as prophesied. Sibela was twenty years old when she led a defense of the people of Castle Town before she was forced to retreat—a fact she was rather disappointed with in the end result. She had trained herself to help others since she was taken in and here she was unable to do anything significant in helping the realm.

    Combat Talents
Streetwise: At thirteen years of age, Sibela had to survive in the slums of Castle Town following the death of her father and her subsequent homelessness. In addition to taking care of herself she also took care of her younger brothers which required her to steal enough food and water to survive consistently for several weeks until she was adopted by a Hylian guard by the name of Mozas. Whilst her sense of survival skills in this manner are admittedly ones she doesn’t call on often—they do exist as optionable skills.

Hylian Guard: Trained by Mozas and conditioned by her peers since the age of fifteen, Sibela has all of the knowledge and skills appropriate for a guardsman. In addition to familiarity of the sword, shield, and fist she is adept in knowing Castle Town in all of its functions. Although her knowledge of former criminal factions is irrelevant in the present, if she ever would return to Castle Town she would know all of the subtle passageways and entry points including alleys, sewers, and so forth.

Adventurer: Following the path of her brother, Rokon, as well as her ancestors Sibela is a lightly seasoned adventurer and whilst she is no expert of temple traps, creatures, and maps she is competent enough not to get killed outright in a temple or ruin.

    Weaknesses
Psyche: Sibela has a lot of weights and flaws on her shoulders despite being a well-seasoned and trained swordsman. Whilst she exudes a bright and optimistic personality there is a darkness that dwells within her to succumb to the harsh and unforgiving world; to admit that her brothers are dead and the relentless onslaught of Ganondorf will consume all. In many ways this constantly assaults Sibela in her thoughts and through her nightmares thus attacking her psyche one bit at a time. It is hard to believe that Sibela could give in to hopelessness, but the possibility is there and she knows it well despite her attempts to outwardly ignore it.

Limited Experience: Sibela did not leave Castle Town until Ganondorf revealed his intentions and changed the world for the worse—and due to this Sibela lacks real experience with ruins, temples, geographic areas beyond Kakariko Village, Hyrule Castle, and Castle Town. She will need a veteran dungeon crawler or ranger to really make sense of things beyond her depth.

Limited Skillset: Sibela knows how to use a sword, knife, and shield. She has elementary knowledge of archery at best and is hardly a thief (though she is halfway competent at stealth), ranger, or magic user. What Sibela knows she knows very well and what she doesn’t she is generally ignorant of.

    Equipment
Requiem: The weapon most comfortable in Sibela’s hands and also qualifies as a dynastic heirloom that her grandfather had used during his adventures within the realm. Requiem is a Hylian Long Sword pressed in steel and faded with the colors of the kingdom—the royal blue and gold being hardly vibrant to the eye due to age and worn nature of the hilt. Requiem is meant to be wielded alongside a shield, though her grandfather used it with two hands. Despite the national colors, there is nothing regal about the sword itself and only the most foolish lowborn man or woman would assume otherwise.

Hylian Shield: Not an expected weapon, Sibela’s former mentor trained her to use it like one as the unexpected utility of an item can lead to saving one’s life in tricky situations. The dexterity and strength wielded by her training and experience has led her to be adaptable and confident in many scenarios where she could’ve found herself in perilous danger.

Cloak: Protects Sibela from harsh weather, cold temperature, and serves as a makeshift blanket when needed.

Knife & Canteen: Attached to her belt is a canteen of water and a knife for quick defense or utility.

Rucksack: Carries individual supplies and equipment that can’t be attached directly to her belt. Said supplies included include small supply of food rations, a sleeping roll for comfort in the field, and a sharpening tool for blades.

At first glance, Atusko appears as nothing more than a slightly out of place woman of Japanese descent in a crowd; but in reality she is much more. Her hair whilst currently fire-red has been dyed a numerous amount of times from her original hair color, a fashionable choice meant to fulfill any inkling at a given time; though her eyes are still mundanely brown as she has consistently stated that messing with her eyes is a line she won’t cross considering her experiences with it, a fact that generally brings attention to her eyepatch that covers her right eye — she claims it’s a fashion choice, though gets frequently defensive if pressed on the issue.

Default Kaname of New Peaks Academy

    Kᴀɴᴀᴍᴇ

    “Tch. You’re pathetic. ”

    Name
    Kaname Shibazaki

    I.D. Number
    08061892

    Rank
    C1

    Year
    Sophomore

    Nationality
    Japanese

    Age
    15

    Sex
    Female

    Appearance
Kaname Shibazaki stands at 160 centimeters (approximately 5’2” and a ½), bearing the height of an average person of her ethnicity and gender. Her green-colored hair is cut long, running to her shoulders with unkempt bangs that are restrained by a hair band. When prepared to compete in a bout or duel of sorts she restrains it into a messy ponytail to keep her hair from getting in the way of the fight at hand, though she does obviously prefer it to run freely.

    Fighting Style
    Jūjutsu

    Powers
Kaname has tapped into her internal ki and unlocked her potential. The ability that has manifest through this awakening of sorts is what she has called the After Image technique.

After Image is a technique that is an activated power rather than a passive one. Kaname needs to focus and divert her spiritual energy evenly throughout a very specific spiritual wavelength in her body to utilize its effects. Once activated, Kaname’s eyes slightly dilate and Kaname projects her body in several directions. This gives the impression of Kaname duplicating herself, though these astral duplicates bear no shadow or weight. Kaname tends to use this ability in “clutch” situations, as she knows when she is outgunned in a bout. She can use this ability with maximum spiritual energy up to three times and can make up to two (one to her left and one to her right) “astral Kaname” projections. Kaname has the ability to push herself past her limits and multiply this by double, though she has never done such a thing in a bout before. In theory, pushing herself beyond her limit would create four astral projected duplicates in total.

The downside of the ability is pretty clear from the onset: not only does it use a great deal of spiritual energy, After Image also puts a taxing strain on Kaname’s ability to see after used beyond the threshold her body can withstand. Examples of the strain it puts on her body include muscle inflation, blurry vision, seeing double, and at worst, collapse from overexertion. Kaname has yet to push herself to the point where she loses consciousness, but it is very much a possible outcome.

    Personality
Kaname Shibazaki is cold and outspoken, often uttering blunt observations on her peers and what they mean to her with little regard for feelings. This, of course, can make Kaname seem like a very difficult young woman, but Kaname isn’t a student at New Peaks Academy to make friends, she’s at New Peaks Academy to prove herself and show that she is no longer the weak little girl from the streets of Fukuoka, Japan. However, Kaname’s brash and self-centered perception isn’t the entire truth. Those who observe Kaname in a more forgiving and rational light will see a girl who is scared of making friends and “making it” at the academy; scared of letting down her adopted father and only surviving family. She just is too stubborn and proud to admit it.

As a student who is in the academy merely on scholarship and nepotistic merits, Kaname dedicates herself to the academy. When she’s not studying how to become a better combatant, she is studying how to become a better academic. She has few hobbies as she personally believes she has little time for what she would call distractions. Though sometimes her pride does relent in favor of her anxieties and she breaks down to one of her hobbies before she became a full-time student of the martial arts: singing. The “old” Kaname can be seen when Kaname tries to not hum an old folk song or mutter a lyric of a hymn or two. When this happens Kaname’s scowl is replaced with a quiet and kind smile, though she has sworn to never let anyone in the academy see this side of her. After all, everyone in the academy is a potential opponent and rival and they would seek to use anything to their advantage. Happiness is a weakness.

But perhaps with the right partner or friend this perception could change.

    Background
Kaname Shibazaki was born fifteen years ago to a forgettable low income family in Fukuoka, Japan. She was an only child, with her mother bearing no other children.

The first nine years of Kaname’s life were the happiest, but also the most unremarkable of her entire life. The Shibazaki Family didn’t have much in the way of expensive things or luxuries. Kaname’s grandparents were long since deceased and Kaname’s father had no siblings or cousins to speak of. But neither of these things mattered because Kaname and her parents had each other and were wholly content of that fact. But this happiness was temporary. To this day, Kaname tries to push out the pain she feels when she reflects on her childhood before the great storm of 2007. The year as she was nearing her tenth birthday everything was taken from her and never given back.

A tsunami had struck the city of Fukuoka, and in the poor district where Kaname’s parents worked and lived it was much worse than anywhere else. Typhoon Usagi had descended on Japan and in Kaname’s mind it was the worst storm that Japan had seen in its entire history. Perhaps in another world it was a meek tropical storm that did little damage. Kaname still has nightmares wishing that she was living in that fantasy as the reality refused to let her forget.

Fukuoka was devastated. Two hundred kilometer-per-hour winds tore through the streets as water began to fill every corner and crevice it could find, tearing through Fukuoka with little resistance. Kaname remembers very clearly the look on her parents faces before she blacked out as the storm went through the city. She remembers the sensation of nearly drowning to death as the waves pushed against her with the fury of a thousand men. When she came to the world was reborn to her. She would never see or hear her parents ever again. Usagi had stolen them from her. Usagi refused to let her die with them. Usagi had taken her home and more importantly, her innocence. The waves of the ocean still unnerve Kaname to this very day.

After surviving in the streets for the remainder of the storm alone, an older man found Kaname scavenging; an old man by the name of Toshinori Akanishi. The man who would adopt her and raise her as his own for the remainder of Kaname’s childhood. A man who would teach her jujitsu to ease her away from her pain, give her new focus, and to drive her away from the lingering nightmares that plagued her. In time, Kaname took to Toshinori and his jujitsu.

Several years later, when Kaname was thirteen years old a travelling talent scout for New Peaks Academy visited Fukuoka in observation of a jujitsu competition. It would change Kaname's life once again. Of all of the prospects at the competition, it was Kaname that showed the most genuine potential for advanced development under NPA-led direction. It was here that the Japanese talent scout put out an offer to Kaname’s sōke and sole parental figure to discuss the option of a scholarship to New Peaks Academy. The resulting discussion took the talent scout several visits, but his experience with Japanese prospects in the past eventually paid off and Kaname soon found herself packing what little things she had for a new life far from her native Japan; though she really didn’t want to leave the only family she had left in the world, she knew that this was good for the art and was what the man she cared for most in the world wanted for her. She bore no tears when she boarded a plane for the beginning of the next chapter in her life.

One principle echoed in her mind as she hoped to look forward.

First Rule of Fight School, don't fail Fight School.

    Default Sjara, Falkreath's Resident Huntress

    Sᴊᴀʀᴀ

“It would be nice if you would stop asking about Valenwood. I’m from Skyrim. I know it's hard to believe.”

    Name
    Sjara

    Age
    27

    Visage
Sjara is a young Bosmer woman with reddish-brown hair and a paler variation of the atypical complexion of her race due to her fosterage in the wooded hills of Skyrim over the warmer more exotic lands her parents hail from. She stands at 4’8”, which is an approximate standard for someone of her gender and ethnic background. Due to a life guided by her mentor in the wooded hills of Falkreath Sjara is spry and athletic as such is reflected in her physical form; she may not be able to bench a Nord but she can certainly hold her own in a brawl.

As a woman who identifies as a denizen of Skyrim above all else, no hesitations or conceits of being an “elf” are present in her attire – if she’s killed it she’s probably worn it. In this she has been jokily deferred to as a “nord-elf” by others and whilst she doesn’t mind the term, she’s fashions herself to be more concerned with being protected and warm than bothered by words of expectations. She tends to prefer leather armor with hide cloaks over bulky heavy armor sets and likes to keep her rucksack set to organize most situations one would fine in the frozen hills of Skyrim. Sjara is not a woman who you will ever hear the complaint of it being cold.

    Personality
Sjara’s heard all of the jokes and honestly by this point in her life she’s in-between being exhausted by them and simply not caring for them. Names like “elf-daughter” have been part of her identity with no consent on her part for the last twenty-seven years and it doesn’t seem that Skyrim-born Nords are changing their impressions of her no matter what she does. Due to this she’s developed a sort of scornful sense of humor that is prone to quips and passive-aggressive retorts; her vocal tone is flat and blade-edged. Sjara’s mentor, Skor, believes this to be a mental shield, to protect her inner self like a shield against a rampaging troll; but ultimately futile.

Scorn and wit aside, Sjara is a complicated individual who really doesn’t know what she wants out of life. In her own mind she likes to fashion herself as a survivalist who is content to be left alone as a scavenger and trader, but the idle curiosities of adventure still fill her head at night; as if the will of her parents follows her like a relentless shadow. It is clear that her reservations and contentment is canceled out by the desire for something greater and instinct of hating the sight of unfairness and bigotry (idle or active). She has no want of fortune or fame, but she wants more than the routine and perhaps at her core desires to connect with her parents in the only way she can. It’s part of what’s brought her to the path she now finds herself on.

A path she refuses to reject. Whether this is diligence or wanderlust, Sjara is trying to move forward and not letting the world deter her; which for those that know Sjara isn’t all that surprising considering the fact she’s always been bullheaded and stubborn; always firm and unbudging when she’s set her mind to a task or decision. This conviction can be difficult and challenging to deal with, but it also confirms that Sjara’s morals and ethics won’t be bent so easily by a pretty face or a few septims on the table. And assuming her conviction is to the group or a friend, it may turn into authentic trust. Though that speculation is entirely based that Sjara has the ability to connect with others on an emotional level.

    History
A Bosmer that’s native to Skyrim? It isn’t as absurd as one might think.

Sjara is the sole survivor of a group of Valenwood adventurers that settled in Skyrim some ten-to-twenty years before the young sharpshooter was even a twinkle in her mother’s eye. As with the nature of Skyrim, Sjara’s parents found themselves involved throughout the region in situations and adventures that often endangered their lives and the lives of their comrades. Whether it was stamping out bandit activity, investigating an abandoned structure, or being in the service to the influence of Riften’s most dissolute and desperate, her parents found a lifestyle that was always thrilling and dangerous; oftentimes by dragging their most loyal of friends into their schemes and exploits. A fact that Sjara’s mentor and guardian, Skor of Riften, reflected upon to Sjara in her youth. A youth that was felt without her parents, Eloradan and Elpriel.

For reasons unknown to Sjara her parents had met untimely demises within the months leading up to her birth; her father had died on a venture alongside Skor in a dwemer ruin and complications in the birthing process led Elpriel dying several minutes after her child was born, crying as she laid in Skor’s trembling hands. The old Nord named her the name she now bears and the reason she holds a Nordic name instead of one that originated in Valenwood as he took to the promise he made to Eloradan shortly before his closest friend’s death in the ruin they had been tasked to explore, to watch over and raise his daughter as if she was Skor’s own. For the next fourteen years of Sjara’s life, Skor would keep that promise.

Sjara’s childhood began on the outskirts of Falkreath, taking lead from Skor as he taught her the various skills and knowledges that were necessary to know such as archery, knowing how to survive in the wilds, the dangers of Skyrim, the huntsman trade, and various other niches; if Skor knew it, Sjara was to know it in due time. These lessons were not easy ones to be learned, especially considering the turbulent times that Sjara experienced throughout her childhood that begun a spiral of events to turn Skyrim into a dangerous and unwelcome place. Skor oftentimes kept Sjara focused, telling her to ignore the stories about the Forsworn and that the tensions between Nords and non-Nords would eventually come to pass; describing it as a temporary distraction caused from the strife of war between the Dominion and the incompetency of the Imperium. Sjara took her mentor’s advice as truths, though she did often wondered if these truths would be seen in the immediate future.

Eventually, Sjara found herself growing into adulthood and knew what this would soon mean. In celebration of this Skor prepared several trials of blood, sweat, and tears for her to complete to prove herself as a daughter of Skyrim and to show him that she was no longer a child. Skor did not go easy on her and Sjara did not expect him to; he was her guardian and mentor, but he was also a meeting point, a challenge to beat, and a measure to defeat. Upon completing these trials and earning the respect of Skor, Sjara knew that this achievement was only the beginning of her life. Fourteen years after her birth and she was finally ready to leave Skor and Falkreath.

For the next decade or so, Sjara traveled throughout Skyrim and Northern Cyrodiil using the skills she had achieved as a hunter, tracker, and archer to the benefit of those that needed it and for those that could pay her the septims for her service. It wasn’t the most adventurous life and it certainly wasn’t as exciting as she imagined the quests her parents had gone through, but it was better than just sitting in Falkreath for the rest of her life trading pelts and meats for the rest of her days being content in her mundanity. Great quests and exciting ventures aside, the life she chose wasn’t exactly without its own merits and dangers; Sjara had found herself dealing with bandits, Forsworn raiders, and cavern-dwelling creatures more time than she could count and that wasn’t including the destabilization gained in her homeland from the ongoing civil war incited by the Stormcloak Rebellion; a rebellion she found herself involved in on occasion.

Involvement in the Skyrim Civil War was unofficial at best as by this point in her life Sjara was very much aware what people thought of her because of her race and not her nationality; disregarding her as another elf and doubting the sincerity of her efforts on the backroads in southernmost Skyrim for the cause merely because much like the Thalmor she too had pointy ears. Sjara discarded the bigotry and decided to focus on helping those effected by the ongoing rebellion and personally involved herself when she discovered Thalmor prisoner caravans – being a skilled sharpshooter and hunter it only made sense that she could at the very least free the men and women who found themselves in chains because a vicious group of invaders thought them inferior. It was ironic in a way.

Following the war, she decided to return to Falkreath for a time. It is one of the reasons she finds herself in a new albeit exciting situation.

    Capabilities
Acrobatics: A valid skill when being chased by a crazed bear or inching into a strategically viable perch, Sjara is a skilled in the art of acrobatics to the point she can move around a crowded forest whilst avoiding the busy well-trodden pathways. This can apply to certain caves and urban environments as well, though it takes a good eye to use her maneuverability in an environment that isn’t the backwoods of Falkreath.

Archery: A skilled marksman in the manners of the bow and arrow, Sjara has been trained since she was old enough to walk in the manners of conventional marksmanship. This is not the makings of some racial advantage but rather time-tested skill and diligent instruction as a child from her mentor whom has no elven blood running in his veins. Sjara isn’t even sure she could still beat Skor in a contest of archery even now as an adult with experience and refinement of skill behind her.

Alchemy: A hunter needs to know what herbs in the forest and caves of Skyrim are favorable to one’s health and which ones will kill you if ingested. By this measure Sjara isn’t really an alchemist though she knows how to make a decent salve or poultice to her advantage, but she’s not a toxicologist or healer either so most of what she knows is rudimentary knowledge meant for survivals sake.

One-Handed Weapons: You need to be skilled with a knife to skin a deer. You need to be even more skilled to fell a group of bandits that thought ambushing a hunter’s camp was a good idea. Trained in the art of sword and knife by the same man who taught her to shoot things with point sticks, Sjara is not untested in the art of one-handed bladed weapons. That said, she has not made it her life goal to be an exceptional swordsman or duelist.

Sneak: Sjara is quiet, perhaps not as unnoticeable as a Riften thief or Brotherhood assassin, but she is skilled in stealth to an extent. As a hunter and adventurer, getting the “drop” on your targets is a valuable skillset to have and Sjara has basically been hunting all her life. But hunting animals and sneaking up on people are two different things entirely. Anyone with a good pair of ears might notice her attempts.

    Inventory
Sjara is ready for adventure. Paired with a normal quiver fitted with steel arrows, Sjara’s bow was once held by her mother before her passing and is one of two sentimental items in her inventory. This bow is unenchanted and otherwise seemingly mundane outside of the fact it is a skillfully made shortbow of elven make and design.

In terms of protection, as stated previously, Sjara fancies herself insulated leather armor and hide cloaks to protect her from the elements and dangers of Skyrim. It keeps her warm and doesn’t weigh her down. A good hunter knows that they need to be nimble and unfrozen to survive. She does not tend to use shields nor is she taken to helmets as they obscure her vision. Beyond her armor, cloak, bow, and supplies all she has for defense of her person is a Nordic short blade made of steel and while she knows how to use it the weapon tends to remain sheathed in most of her encounters. There’s also a simple skinning knife, but she hasn’t had to use it in combat in quite the amount of time and thus thinks of it more for its initial purpose.

Her rucksack tends to carry her miscellaneous items needed for scavenging and survival – torches, basic herbs in a cloth pouch, a coinpurse, a flask, and the usual accompaniment of supplies.
