Julian looked down, cursing silently. He hated to ruin his daughter's image of him even further, but he had pledged honesty. He took a deep breath and let go of her hand so she wouldn't have to pull away once he spoke. "...Sweetheart, that's not true," he said softly, and looked at her with a pained expression. "I... I killed Dallas."
Lily frowned as he pulled away. She looked at him before opening her eyes wide. "...W-what?" She saw his pained in expression so she knew that it was true. She shook her head and hugged herself. "I-I thought Mom did... Or I assumed..." She said softly.

He bit his lips at her reaction and closed his eyes, looking down. Why, why did it have to get worse? "...She helped. But I..." He didn't finish his sentence. He didn't think he needed to. Lily shook her head and covered her face with her hands. She didn't want to believe any of this. She didn't want to believe that her own father could do such a thing. "You've always told us that revenge was never worth it.... You spoke from experience...." She murmured. She hugged herself and turned away. It helped a little to hear that he didn't like it. That it haunted him. "That explains why you and Mom seemed.... Off after coming back from that trip..." She said softly. "Was that around the time mom cheated on you?"
