Appearance: Mabel has golden blonde hair with blue tips and white screaks (dyed), Hazel brown eyes, thin lips, detached ears, tanned skin, freckles, a rounded nose, and a pointed chin. She usually wears a blue tee-shirt with a blue-jean jacket with heart designs on the sides. she also has a short blue skirt and long pink socks that look like leggings that are tucked under her short boots with fluff at the rim. She has a bracelet with stars and long healthy nails.
Role in party: She's like a medium and is the newest member of the group.
Psychic Gift: She can speak with ghosts, sometimes see them, and can be affected physically and emotionally depending on what type of spirit she's around. she can also be pulled or repelled by them.
Backstory: Madel Berns was always different from everyone else. she loved watching ghost investigations and stories. one day, she was on a school trip to a museum and saw a ghost. no one else could but she could also hear and speak with it. She started having more encounters with ghost so she started seeing a therapist after her parents got worried about her "gift". after a few conclusions, they said that she was a telepath and could communicate with the dead. she later decided to put her gift to use and started looking up investigation teams. One of her friends told her about one and she applied for it and she was accepted. now she speaks to the idea and tries to figure out why thee either trapped, mad or how they died and does a pretty good job at it.

Age: 26
Appearance: Emma stands at 5'3 and has the aesthetic of a modern goth. She dresses in all black, usually with a simple t-shirt, leather jacket, and skirt with leggings and combat boots. Both of her arms have sleeve tattoos of varying occult and witchcraft symbols. Her hands are always covered with black gloves. She has multiple piercings up and down both ears, eye brows and lip are also pierced. Her short auburn hair falls to frame her oval face at the chin and her eyes are a bright, sapphire blue.
Role in party: Tech support
Psychic Gift: Clairvoyant, can touch objects and surfaces and pick up residual feelings left behind. Sometimes her gift works on people when coming in contact with their skin. She does not use this gift often, for it leaves her drained.
Backstory:
Emma grew up a happy suburban child with her twin brother, Thomas. Their parents loved them and they seemed to live a boring, American dream type of life. Emma use to be bubbly and outing. She grew up with ballerina lessons and became active in field hockey at school. Her grades were around B average range. Her style was also pretty normal for a teenage girl. That was until Thomas committed suicide when Emma was 15. Emma found him hanging from a beam in the ceiling of his room. She instantly got help, but it was too late. After the funeral Emma started to withdraw and started to study the occult. She was obsessed and determined to prove that there was an afterlife. Her heart could not bare the burden to know Thomas no longer exist. He was her twin and best friend and she felt like she had failed him because he did not come to her.
Emma started using technology like audio and video recordings to try and capture the ghost of her brother in his room. Any hint to figure out why things happened the way they did. There was not a note or anything left behind to explain the circumstances leading up to the event. He had seemed happy and care-free. A part of her was angry that he did not come to her for help and another part of her felt guilty because she had not noticed his suffering. Through her investigations she never recorded much, just small whispers here and there or small orbs capture on video. It wasn't until she went into his room one day to mourn and picked up his favorite book did she have a flash of severe anguish and depression. It jolted her like lightening and she found herself involuntarily crying. She had no idea what happened but could only assume those were the feelings of Thomas before he took his life.
Emma continued to explore her gift by going to abandoned places and touching objects. However, whenever strong emotions came over her she became fatigued after. Some of the feelings she also picked up lingered and became a part of her, darkening her demeanor. There were also a few encounters with people by brushing up against them or touching their skin and she would be flooded with emotions that were not her own. Her gift seemed to be growing and it was frightening her. Emma became accustomed to wearing gloves at all times to prevent unwanted emotions invading her essence until she chose to use her ability.
Emma continued to become obsessed with the afterlife and started to study witchcraft, the occult and any other religions or theologies that promised communication with the dead. She started to change over time and began to wear black and expressing herself through body accessories like tattoos and piercings. When she was 18 she joined a paranormal investigative team and started to travel all around. She used her tech skills to help set up equipment and to gather possible evidence of the great beyond.
