We're settling in for a bit of a Space Opera. In the distant future when much of the known universe is allied in a loose Federation, military vessels patrol the borderlands, those spaces in between where outlaws, pirates, and rogue planets lay in wait.

Alexander, or simply Alex, stands at exactly 6' 1". His jet black hair is gelled back at almost all times, his eyes a dark shade of brown. His skin is fair, or pale depending on the environment he is in. He has a few specks of freckles dotted across his cheekbones but none that draws any attention unless intentionally stared at.

Biography: Ensign Alexander "Battery" Breakersfield began his life on New Terra, a bustling world in Alpha Centauri within the Federation, populated predominantly by humans. He was born to a family of scientists, becoming immersed in a world of discovery and innovation from an early age. His natural curiosity and intellect had him seeking adventure and purpose, and when he came of age, Alexander enlisted in the Federation Navy after completing his education and passing his physical examination. Despite lacking formal military training, his innate talent for strategy and problem-solving caught the attention of his superiors.

He was assigned onboard The Lariat since his graduation from the Federation military academy, Alexander's responsibilities came to include analyzing enemy tactics, managing combat data, and assisting in the coordination of defensive measures. His contributions had rightfully earned him the nickname, Battery, after suggesting a table-turning strategy over a militia of rebels. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, The Lariat was destroyed in a massive mission failure, resulting in abandoning the ship. He is now currently assigned onboard a new generation of starship called The Sovereign.

The Federation Navy is Alexander's life. Though lacking in age compared to his fellow officers, Alexander's loyalty exceeds far greater than that of anybody onboard Sovereign. Alexander earns the respect of his crewmates through his resourcefulness, adaptability, and unwavering dedication to the mission and the greater cause. Despite the challenges, Alexander remains resolute to protect the Federation and ensure the safety of his comrades and also those who cannot protect themselves.

Johanna stands at slightly taller than an average height at 5'7. Her shoulder length hair is a chestnut brown, her eyes a piercing shade of blue. Her skin porcelain and unblemished and frame slender. She is known for her beauty, if not slightly haunting appearance.

Brief History/Biography: Johanna Godwin was born on Earth in the latest version of New York, identified at an early age as a musical prodigy, she has a natural born talent and love of the piano. Despite this life long pursuit it was her aptitude for the sciences that had her selected as a candidate for the Federation Academy. Despite successful completion, Johanna declined to enter military service instead completing her studies as a medical doctor. A gifted surgeon and trauma physician, she serves the Federation proudly as a Civilian representative on military vessels as one of a relative few in such a role.

Dr. Godwin is according to her colleagues and friends, a gentle and warm personality though remarkably isolated. Despite outward attempts at humour she generally keeps her personal life and professional separate. She still plays the piano and will indulge in the after work cocktail with her compatriots. Her commitment to her job is all consuming and she is no stranger to work days on end without rest. Thanks to her record Johanna is one of the faces of the Federation and is often in positions of danger when out in the field due to her recognizability.

Do you think we should add anything else for now? Or do we want to get started and then add things here as we go? I think latter makes more sense, because God knows how much time I spent world building and never end up using it
