Build: The Cold Emperor stands at the tall height of 6 feet and 2 inches. After spending most of his childhood and early teen years as a blacksmith, the Emperor has a lean but well-toned body with a slightly pale-white skin tone. Many scars cover his torso after having fought many battles, most of them are slash marks from blades. His face is chiseled but his cold eyes can give him an intimidating appearance.
Hair: Short and spiky pure-white hair.
Eyes: Underneath his armor, his eyes are pale gray which emphasizes the coldness of his heart. While wearing his black armor, his eyes begin to a glow a light-blue fire.

Fighting Style: The Emperor is a highly aggressive warrior. He combines his magical powers with his physical strength to create devastating attacks. Depending on what weapon he is using, his fighting style changes. It can vary from sneak attacks, to high-speed assaults, to heavy and powerful strikes. (Will be explained below)
Weapons:
Scythe of the Reaper: This scythe was magically forged by a blacksmith long-ago before the Emperor's time, and is near indestructible. This weapon was a reward for him for the success of one of his latter quests. He often uses One with the Shadow ability to perform sneak attacks with this scythe and swing this blade in wide-arcs to slice apart his opponents. This weapon is primarily used against multiple opponents.
Destructive Dual Blades: These two blades were forged by his own hands, and his most prized creation. However, these weapons contain no magical properties and are usually repaired on a daily basis. While wielding these two short-blades, his fighting style now focuses on speedy attacks. He will close on to his opponent and bombard him or her with a high-speed assault of multiple slashes. There's also a nifty trick where he can combine the hilts together to form a double-bladed sword. This sacrifices a little bit of speed but his offensive and defensive capabilities are increased while still maintaining a fast and aggressive offense. This set of weapons is primarily used against a skilled close-combat warrior.
Death Claymore: The unbreakable black steel of this blade is about five feet long. He stole this weapon from a more powerful mage back at his school right before he abandoned it. Instead of relying on sneak attacks or high-speed, the Cold Emperor simply relies on his immense strength. The swings of this deadly sharp blade and his enhanced physical strength are dangerous enough, but the Cold Emperor often combines powerful magic attacks to make this fighting style even more devastating. This weapon set is used mainly against foes that focus on defense and evasion.
Single-Handed Short Sword and Dark Gauntlet: The Cold Emperor found the Dark Gauntlet during his recent travels, after he abandoned his school. The gauntlet is worn on his left hand and has a small, magical sapphire gem embedded into center of the palm. This gem enhances the Cold Emperor's ice magic. However, this weapon set is mainly used as a last resort. The magical gem seems cursed, and even seems to have a mind of its own. With each use, it will slowly corrode and take over the Cold Emperor's mind. He would rather have his mind intact as much as possible, but he will do anything to win a battle. He wields a short sword (with no magical properties) on his right hand mainly to defend himself as his Dark Gauntlet gathers up power. This weapon set is mainly used against ranged foes or powerful beings.
Note: The gem of the Dark Gauntlet is breakable. A single well-aimed attack can cause it to crack, and weaken the Cold Emperor. Another well-aimed attack will shatter the gem, destroying the cursed object and rendering the Dark Gauntlet useless. Other side effects will include the Cold Emperor regaining his humanity.
Abilities:
Enhanced Physical Prowess: This is a passive ability. While wearing his magically-forged armor, the Cold Emperor's physical strength, speed, and stamina has surpassed most mundane humans by five-folds. Even with his enhanced physical prowess, however, it cannot compare to those of supernatural creatures/entities such as werewolves and demons. So he relies on the rest of his abilities to best these powerful creatures.
Dimensional Inventory: The Cold Emperor does not carry all of his weapons on his person. He stores these times within his own little personal dimension. He can only wield one set of weapons at a time, so he will have to de-summon his current weapons in order to summon new ones. Once he summons a new set of weapons, one turn of rest is required before he could try to summon another set.
Beforehand, in his previous life, this ability was used to store many different types of armor. Each magically-forged armor allowed the Cold Emperor to specialize in certain abilities. However, ever since he turned towards the dark side, he gained the ability to summon his current black armor. It turned out this magical armor was his strongest yet, as it gives him great physical prowess and the powerful ability of ice magic. Ever since, he only uses this armor and has forsaken the rest.
His black armor is resistant to most physical attacks, but it is still breakable. A powerful physical attack or a well-aimed magic attack can eventually crack, and shatter pieces of his armor and thus leave weak points all around him.
Becoming One with Shadow: The Cold Emperor can sink into his own shadow as if it was a liquid. He disappears into it, and from there he could travel much faster than on foot. His shadow can cross great distances in a matter of seconds, its speed can rival with those of most magical creatures including werewolves and vampires. Using this ability can help out a lot with surprise attacks, as the Emperor could simply pop out of his shadow and perform the finishing move on his opponent. It takes one post to dissolve into his shadow and start traveling, while the next post he will have to pop out of it and perform any action that is needed. After using this ability, two turns of rest are required before it can be used again.
Spoiler: The Winter Warrior
The Cold Emperor's main ability is to create and manipulate ice.
Icefire Coating: For all of his weapons (except the Dark Gauntlet), the Cold Emperor can coat the blade(s) with icefire magic. Blue flames now surround the blade(s), but instead of burning damage, it freezes upon contact. This ability is useful for shattering mundane weapons, but all magical weapons are resistant to this ability. If the icefire comes into contact with flesh, the inflicted wound would become very similar to that of a severe frostbite. The Cold Emperor can activate this ability quickly, and it will remain active for two turns. However, after the icefire dissipates, it will take another one turn of rest to use this ability again.
Cold Floor: While wielding any of his weapons, the Cold Emperor clenches one of his hands into a fist and punches into the ground. The ground or surface in front of him turns into solid ice (30x30 feet), causing it to become slippery and possibly causing his opponent to lose his/her balance. This spell will need one turn of rest before it can be used again.
Ice Shockwave: This ability is used with the Death Claymore. The Cold Emperor will perform a downward swing that will create a powerful impact against the ground. In front of where the blade made impact, six-feet ice spikes will then erupt from the ground in a five-feet radius. After the ability is used, it will require one turn of rest before being used again.
Ice Shield: This is used as a defensive move against a powerful attack or an attack that the Cold Emperor cannot dodge. A large shield of ice (12x12 feet) will form in front of him and deflect the attack. If the attack is powerful enough, it can shatter the ice shield and can still hit the Cold Emperor, but now the attack would be severely weakened. After its use, the ability will need three turns of rest.
While wearing the Dark Gauntlet, the shield itself becomes more stronger. The magical ice will now be capable of defending against more powerful attacks. And after its use, the ability will only need two turns of rest before it can be used again.
Frost Shards: The Cold Emperor forms about a dozen razor-sharp shards of ice form from his open palm and which will then be fired upon a specific target. The shards slice through most steel armor like butter. After its use, the ability will need two full turns of rest before being used again.
If used while wearing the Dark Gauntlet, the amount of shards will double and cover more area. One turn of rest is required also.
Touch of Winter: This ability can only be used with the Dark Gauntlet. The Cold Emperor will focus a lot of his ice magic to the tips of the fingers on his gauntlet. It will take one post to gather up the energy. He will have to use this ability on his next post, otherwise the magic will burn itself out. If he manages to touch a person's limb with the magic-covered fingers, that entire limb will be enveloped by ice. In most cases, the opponent will lose that limb. In rare cases (such as an ifrit), the ice will only cause that limb to be immobile for about 2 posts. If a weapon or armor is touched, even if they have magical properties, then that surrounding area is covered with ice and is vulnerable to break. After using this ability, the ability will need three turns of rest before it can be used again.
NOTE: The rest of the Winter Warrior abilities (Cursed Gem to Sub-Zero Detonation) will not be used for the 2014 Rumble as they are incapable of being used in the allotted time of 5 rounds.
Cursed Gem: If the Dark Gauntlet is worn for a while, on its sixth turn, it will begin consuming the Cold Emperor's mind. He will become more sadistic and reckless, but now he is capable of performing more powerful attacks under the Cursed Gem effect.
Icefire Blast: Can only be used under the Cursed Gem effect. From the palm of the gauntlet, the Cold Emperor can shoot a powerful torrent of icefire flames. The flames will cover about a quarter of a mile in length, and the width is about 50 feet. The burning-cold sensation can inflict massive pain to those caught in its path. It will also slow down the opponent if he/she is caught in its path. It only takes one turn to activate, but after its use, it cannot be used again for the remainder of the battle.
Ice Exoskeleton: Can only be used under the Cursed Gem effect. The Cold Emperor will gather up ice energy around his body, which requires one post of focusing. In his next post, his entire black armor is surrounded by very light-weighted ice armor. However, the armor is now harder than diamond and can deflect most physical attacks, and is very resistant to most magical attacks, even magical flames. This spell will remain in effect until the end of its second post. It will then dissipate and cannot be used again for the rest of the battle.
Dark-Ice Dragon Fist: Can only be used under the Cursed Gem effect. The Cold Emperor gather energy that is straight from the darkest fears sentient mind has about winter, ice and arctic areas; including the fears of treacherous ice breaking, burying/devouring, damaging or tripping the victim in downright malicious ways. Focusing all of this energy will require one turn of focusing. After gathering the immense amount of energy, the dark ice will have formed a large head of a dragon around his Dark Gauntlet. The Cold Emperor will then attempt to punch his opponent using this dragon head, and if its a direct attack, it will cause severe damage (breaking/shatter bones, crushing limbs, perhaps even death). After one use, he cannot use this ability for the rest of the battle. He cannot combine this ability with One with the Shadow.
Lost Soul: If the Dark Gauntlet is worn for ten turns, the cursed gem will have completely dominated the Cold Emperor's mind. At this point, the Cold Emperor is completely evil, the blue fire around his eyes will turn into black fire. His voice will even deepen, and it sounds like there are multiple beings speaking from him. His opponents, no matter how mundane, will sense a great and ancient evil possessing him. In this state, the Cold Emperor is capable of performing his most powerful attack, but at a severe cost.
The Worst Storm: This is a passive effect while the Cold Emperor is under the Lost Soul effect. The evil entity controlling him will now dark energy up to the sky. During the first post of Lost Soul, dark clouds will begin to form. During the opponent's subsequent post, it will begin snowing lightly. During the Cold Emperor's subsequent post, the snow storm immediately becomes worse and heavy, strong winds pushing everywhere. It may prove to be a distraction to his opponent and slow him or her down, but the Cold Emperor is unaffected. The heavy storm will remain in effect until the Cold Emperor loses the Lost Soul effect.
Devil Ice-Blade: The Cold Emperor's single-handed short sword becomes enveloped by black ice. This ice is extremely sharp and could slice through even adamantine. Only the most impenetrable defense can deflect its attack. This spell immediately activates when Lost Soul is in effect.
Sub-Zero Detonation: The Cold Emperor begins to gather up an immense amount of ice energy, and it will take one full post to focus everything. In his next post, three ice bombs are scattered across the battlefield. The ice bombs explodes in a fifty-feet radius. Anything caught in its radius is immediately frozen and encased in a solid block of ice. This spell can only be used once in the battle. The bombs will be placed on the Emperor's turn, but the explosions will occur during the subsequent turn of his opponent.
Attributes:
The Cold Emperor's ice manipulation powers are increased by two-fold if he is in an environment that is comparable to a frigid ice-land (a glacier or during a heavy winter snow-storm). All of his Winter Warrior abilities have increased strength will now have one reduced rest turn.
He is highly resistant to most ice-attacks and is even capable of manipulating his opponents attack. However, if he faces an opponent that has many more years of experience than him (an elderly ice-wizard or a god of ice), that resistance is nullified. UNLESS if he is wielding the Dark Gauntlet. While wielding the Dark Gauntlet, he is resistance to ice attacks from subpar ice wizards that have around thirty years more experience.
Spoiler: This attribute will not be used in the Rumble
While under the effects of Cursed Gem, the Cold Emperor is resistant to attack from subpar ice elementals. While under the effects of Lost Soul, the Cold Emperor is resistant to all ice attacks, and can even redirect attacks from the gods of ice themselves.
The Cold Emperor is vulnerable to all flame-attacks. The fire easily seeps through his armor and burns him. Not only that, but if he finds himself in a very heated environment (the hot, dry desert or inside of a volcano), then his ice-manipulation powers is significantly weakened by having its strength cut in half. All of his Winter Warrior abilities now have one increased rest turn.
The Cold Emperor is still human, and can be slowed down by mortal wounds and distracted by emotional distress.
Biography:
Personality: He lives up to his title, he has a very cold personality. He believes that most beings are inferior to him and his abilities, and constantly taunts his opponent in or out of battle to get him or her flustered. However, he even criticizes himself quite harshly as well. If he receives an injury or loses a battle, he will berate himself for not being strong enough. This itself will drive him even more into his quest for power. Since he has so much pride in himself, he does not lower himself to fight dirty and is actually a bit honorable. If he finds a worthy opponent, he will openly acknowledge it. Underneath his black armor and hardened exterior, he still has fond memories of his past life... he still has a little bit of humanity hidden deep inside of his soul.
Background:The Cold Emperor hasn't always been an evil person. He began his life as a troubled boy with an abusive father, whom was a blacksmith. He discovered his magical talent at the young age of twelve. By the time he was sixteen, he was sent to a school for the magically gifted. There, he spent a few years honing his skills and went on quite a few quests to gain money and reputation. He became a prodigy in this school, gaining the title Mage-Knight. Eventually, he fell love with a fellow student, and promised to protect her at all costs. Everything in his life seemed perfect now, and he worked hard to get where he was. He finally found bliss. However, it all ended on a certain mission... and he faced an opponent he could not defeat and failed to protect his beloved. His reality was crushed, and so he began a new mission, and realized that his school was holding him back. At the school, there were too many emotions, memories, and rules that limited his true potential. He quickly abandoned the school and began a quest for power. Several months later, quiet whispers would reveal he became the Cold Emperor... and he is always on the hunt to find challenging opponents and besting them in battle.

Build: Lucielle has a slender hourglass figure that stands around 6 feet tall. Her muscles have been toned from many years of hard labor.
Hair: Shoulder-length straight blue hair
Eyes: Icy Blue Eyes
Distinctive Features: Her body is covered by many, many scars. There are several whip-marks across her back; along with cuts and stab marks all over her belly, legs, and arms. Since she is an Elf, she does have the pointy ears beneath her long blue hair.
Clothes / Armour: Dark leather armor that cuts right above her belly and wears tight black leather pants and knee-high black boots.
Fighting Style: Lucielle is ferocious in combat. She uses her lithe body, rapid agility, and incredible acrobatic skills to dance around the battlefield to create a bloodbath. If she ever feels her life is truly threatened, she will resort to using forbidden magic.
Weapons: She has daggers... lots and lots of daggers. She has an even amount of two different types of daggers: combat (shown in her right hand) and throwing (shown in her left hand). Six are attached to her waist, three for each leg, one at the side of each boot, two on each shoulder, and one on each forearm. She has a total of 20 daggers. The throwing daggers are six inches in length and the combat daggers are 10 inches in length. They are all mundane weapons.
Abilities:
Spoiler: Dark Magic
After using one spell, Lucielle requires one turn of rest before using another spell of darkness.
Shadow Sphere Barrage: she raises a palm to shoot a barrage of dark energy balls towards her opponents. The dozen shadow spheres burns through most mundane armors and weapons, but most magical spells or equipment can deflect the spheres. These spheres are scorching to the touch and can create severe burn marks.
Necrosis Tentacle: she creates three tentacles of dark energy from the ground within a fifteen-feet radius. They are mainly used to slice her enemies apart, but every once in a while Lucielle will find a miscellaneous use for them.
Chaos Wave: A ring of dark energy surrounds Lucielle. It quickly rises and soon a large wave of chaotic energy crackling with black electricity shoots off a wave of darkness from all directions around her body. This could be used as an offensive or defensive ability.
Cursed Sigil: Lucielle quickly gathers dark energy into her palm and thrusts it towards the ground, embedding a black sigil that can only be seen by her eyes. The sigil is there for the remainder of the battle unless there is movement upon it. If there is heavy movement upon it, the sigil will explode, and one of three effects may occur (1d6 will be rolled)
1-2: Sigil explodes with violent dark energy, the impact is capable of breaking bones or causing other significant injuries
3-4: Sigil explodes and multiple black tentacles erupt from the ground, halting the opponent's movement for 1 turn.
5-6: Sigil explodes and drains energy from the opponent, causing him or her to fatigue faster
Unholy Bomb: It takes about a single turn to focus dark energy around her hand. By her next turn, a small dust of black energy forms at the tip of her index finger. She flicks it away up to a range of 25 feet. Upon contact with a surface or once it reaches out of range, the dust of black energy rapidly expands and explodes with incredible power. The energy is scorching to the touch and its impact can easily break bones.
Decaying Bolt: An incredible amount of dark energy is focused on to one of Lucielle’s palm and requires one post to charge. The power is so great that it even begins to burn her own hands. The bolt of darkness shoots away from her palm and towards its target. Along the way, it decays anything in its path in a 3-feet radius. If metal is in its way, it’ll rapidly turn into rust. If flesh is in its way, it will quickly rot. Even the air itself is removed around the bolt, so even if the bolt barely misses its target, there is the chance the target may still suffocate from the lack of air.

Personality: Lucielle is an interesting character... she has multiple personalities... actually, she's a schizophrenic. Long ago something damaged her psyche and split it apart. One part can be cheery and optimistic, but she often speaks sentences that make no sense whatsoever. Her cheery personality may resemble to that of a giddy young child. Another personality, she will tend to act aloof and distant herself from others. However, this is when he is most sane and actually aware of her actions. However, one other personality is a cold killer. She is very ferocious and bloodthirsty in battle. If she ever feels truly threatened, she won't even need to blink to pull out a dagger and stab you through the neck.
Background:
Spoiler: A story full of pain...
Lucielle was born as a slave in a mining pit. She has no memories of her parents, they were probably both killed shorty after her birth. For the first fourteen years of her life, she spent time mining for the rare mineral rock, Desidus, for her human overlords. Several times, along with her fellow elven slaves, she would be punished for not meeting the daily minimum requirement for gathering Desidus. The humans would shackle her to a large rock, and then whip her back multiple times. The excruciating pain is still fresh in her mind today.
However, by the time she turned fifteen, her body began to blossom, and the human overlords took notice. One day, a small group of them cornered her and then forced themselves upon her. Their faces taking away her innocence will forever haunt her dreams.
She suffered for a few more years as a slave, enduring the whips and the lustful overlords. One day, a fresh group of slaves arrived at the pit. One of them, Sajreth, was a young elven man around her age. His very presence won Lucielle's heart. Sajreth did not allow the dreary settings of the black pit remove his small smile of hope, and his protective demeanor saved Lucielle punishment from the whip multiple times. Over the next few weeks, he began forming plans with his fellow slaves to start a rebellion and begin their escape.
One night, while everybody was asleep after a long day of work, a couple overlords decided to have their fun with Lucielle once more. They grabbed her and dragged towards her corner, muffling her cries with their rough hands. However, Sajreth was the only one to awaken to her silent cries, and he immediately launched himself at the overlords. He started pummeling one to the ground, and defended himself against the other. Sajreth couldn't hold his own for long against the overlords, and then they stabbed him, multiple times... causing him a slow and painful death.
Lucielle cried out as she saw Sajreth's bleeding corpse lying on the floor. After all these years of pain and suffering, she survived and endured it all. However, after seeing her love being slaughtered like an animal... that destroyed her very reality.
She let out a bloodthirsty scream, and then a dark aura surrounded her. In less than an hour, all of the overlords were slaughter by her awakened dark magic. All of the slaves were freed, but now they feared Lucielle. She left the group, and has been wandering on her own ever since.
Captain Malstrom stands at a relatively tall stature, almost standing at six feet in height. The Knight has a relatively lean and slim figure, but carries a strong presence. The Captain's armor is composed of exquisite black and white metal, which provides a durable defense without encumbering mobile movement.

Weapons:
Halberd and Shield (as shown in appearance picture): Captain Malstrom's signature set of weapons, combining a good offense with a solid defense. The Knight utilizes this weapon set in combat against magically-geared enemies, while also getting up close and personal.
Dual Swords: Captain Malstrom utilizes this weapon set against enemies that focus more upon physical combat itself. The Tempest Knight focuses upon agility and speed with the dual blades, striving to overcome the adversary's speed or strength.
Lances (4x): These lances are usually used for mid-distance to long-distance combat since these can be used as projectiles. However, Captain Malstrom is unafraid of using these weapons in close-quarters. Captain Malstrom can use up to four of these weapons at once - wielding one lance with each hand while the other two float in midair and still geared for combat. The two floating can be shot forward like projectiles, and can easily be returned in the Tempest Knight's subsequent turn.
Holy Grenade: One of the many gadgets provided by the Knights of the Holy Order - this single Holy Grenade can have devastating effects. Infused with holy light energy and explosive gunpowder, the grenade can be uncorked and then tossed to a nearby location. Seconds later, the grenade explodes in a 25 feet diameter. Those caught in the blast radius will suffer from holy fire, where the white flames burn and linger upon the skin. The fire itself does not create devastating wounds, but instead creates high pain to disorient the opponent. This grenade is only a one-time use throughout the entire battle.
Battle Cross: Captain Malstrom rarely uses this weapon set. It is actually a gift from the General of the Order, one that Captain Malstrom earned due to prestige. If the Battle Cross is currently wielded, if augments all of the Tempest Knight's magical abilities - in regards to Master of Lightning - by increasing damaging capability and decreasing mana usage. This weapon set also unlock the extremely powerful Seraph Sword ability.

Spoiler: Holy Templar
Dimensional Inventory: Captain Malstrom does not carry weapons; instead, the Knight utilizes a magical ability that creates a small personal dimension for storage. Captain Malstrom can only wield one weapon set at a time, so the Knight will have to de-summon a weapon set before materializing a new one. Once a new set of weapons are summoned, one round of rest is required before the Captain can attempt to summon more weapons. Also, Captain Malstrom has a magical connection with each weapon set. If the Tempest Knight loses the weapons for any reason, the Knight can call upon them and can instantly return back to the wielder.
Enhanced Physical Prowess: Captain Malstrom's suit of armor is actually magical in nature, and gives the Knight enhanced physical prowess. While adorned in the armor, Captain Malstrom's strength, speed, and stamina surpasses that of a mundane human being by three-folds.
A Prayer to Luthious: Captain Malstrom is a religiously devoted person, and will often pray to the Noble of Order, Luthious. There is one specific prayer, that once Captain Malstrom recites out loud, will further significantly boost the Knight's physical prowess - by almost doubling it. This ability can only be used once in a match, and its effects will dissipate by the end of Malstrom's subsequent turn.
Seraph Sword: This ability is Captain Malstrom's last resort in a dire situation. This ability can only be used if the Battle Cross is the warrior's current weapon set. The Tempest Knight will receive a personal blessing of the almighty Luthious, one that can end the battle. Captain Malstrom will immediately gather benevolent energy between both hands and into the Battle Cross. Captain Malstrom takes up a turn of combining their personal mana with the blessing of God, where the Battle Cross is surrounded by bright light. The Battle Cross essentially forms a sword of light, crackling with holy electricity. In the next turn, Captain Malstrom can swing the sword of light and a beam of white energy shoots out - one that instantly decimates the essence of evil, and will knock unconscious of anyone deemed innocent. The white beam has a far reach of up to 500 meters, but it is very narrow and can be possibly dodged. Once this ability is used, the Battle Cross shatters into pieces and the Seraph Blade is no longer usable for the rest of the battle.
Spoiler: Master of Lightning
Electricity Coating: Captain Malstrom's current weapon set is coated with crackling electricity. The electricity creates vibrations around the weapon that significantly increases its sharpness. If an opponent is also struck by the crackling electricity, they suffer minor electrical damage (moderate to severe physical pain, electrical burn, and possibly limb paralysis or stun). If using lances, Captain Malstrom can use these weapons as projectiles similar to minor forms of lightning bolts (since they are covered in electricity). However, once thrown, Captain Malstrom loses magical control over the lances and cannot return them back. The Electricity Coating will remain active for two turns, and will wear off by the beginning of Malstrom's third subsequent turn.
Bolting: Captain Malstrom can literally transform into a temporary state of lightning, and can travel to another location at the speed of light. It is very similar to teleporting, as Captain Malstrom can transform into a ball of sparkling electricity and instantly travel to another location - but the limits are up to 100 meters. This can be used for both offensive and defensive means, as the Knight can close distance to the opponent, or withdraw and avoid an attack. Upon activation of this ability, one round of rest is required before utilizing it again.
Thunder Burst: Captain Malstrom's armor is suddenly adorned with crackling electricity that implodes with a burst of wind, adding a minor layer of protection. The electricity is capable of creating a minor shock in an opponent that touches it, just enough to give him a quick shove back and create a bit of distance. This is a defensive maneuver, and the electricity shortly disappears before the end of the activation turn.
Tempest Orbs: These orbs are used in a tactical manner by the Tempest Knight. Captain Malstrom can summon an orb of electricity and place it in the current location, floating in midair. Malstrom can only summon one orb per each turn, and these do count as action phases - however, the Tempest Knight can summon an unlimited amount of orbs throughout the entire battle. At any point in the battle, Malstrom can activate all of the Tempest Orbs, electricity shoots out and each orb is connected with one another. If the opponent is in the direct trajectory of these orbs, he/she can be zapped by the electricity upon activation. If the orbs form a shape (ex. triangle or square) instead of a line, then the entire area of the shape is lit up with electricity. The damaging capability of the electricity can range from extreme pain to temporary paralysis of limb or body.
Chain-Lightning Hook: Captain Malstrom calls upon dense, lightning energy that shoots out from an open palm. This ability is mainly used for mobility, and can extend up to a small distance of 30 feet. The Tempest Knight can manipulate the energy and cause it to zig-zag, before it attaches to any surfaces. The energy will then retract, causing the Tempest Knight to be rapidly pulled towards the destination. This can also be used as an offensive ability, and can instead act like a spear of lightning instead. Upon usage, this ability will need at least two turns of rest before reactivation.
Voltage Blessing: When outdoors, Captain Malstrom can summon a bolt of lightning from the sky. The lightning bolt will immediately contact the Tempest Knight, charging up the warrior with immense electrical energy. Upon gaining the energy of the lightning bolt, Captain Malstrom will have to wait one more round before utilizing one of the three following abilities. The damaging effects of the following abilities will be up to the opposing player's discretion. The Voltage Blessing ability can only be used once in a Rumble match - but in unofficial matches, this ability requires at least two turns of rest before being becoming available again.
Lightning Bolt: Captain Malstrom can basically shoot that same lightning bolt from the palm, and can target an opponent. The lightning bolt itself has massive damage capability and is best utilized in mid-to-long range combat. It travels at an extremely fast speed, making it difficult for an opponent to dodge it. If the opponent manages to get hit directly, several effects could occur (instant death, temporary body paralysis up to a turn, shattering weapons/armor/bones, or severe physical pain).
Speed of Light: Captain Malstrom can utilize the energy of the lightning to personally enhance speed. The Tempest Knight will glow with a radiant light, before the energy explodes and Malstrom can shoot forth like a harpoon at an extremely fast speed. This move is typically used with Captain Malstrom's current weapon set (slashing with a sword or thrusting with a lance). Again, this attack is also difficult to dodge due to the incredible speed Malstrom is traveling in. The added velocity will increase the next blow of the Tempest Knight.
Shockwave Blast: This ability is typically used when Captain Malstrom is in close-quarters with the opponent. The next blow that the Tempest Knight lands, there will be a large blast of electrical energy from the attack - like an explosion. The electrical blast can be capable of incinerating non-careful opponents - other effects can include shattering weapons/armor/bones, temporary limb paralysis for a turn, or severe physical pain).
Attributes
Captain Malstrom generally focuses more upon speed and agility rather than brute force - in terms of physical combat. The Tempest Knight will typically combine physical attacks with magical ones, utilizing all resources.
Captain Malstrom has an exponentially large amount of mana reserves, and can continue a battle for a long time - if necessary - while still dishing out several magical attacks. This is due to the harsh training that Malstrom has undergone during the past several years to hone personal skills.
Captain Malstrom is still overall a human being - and thus carries the general weaknesses and limits of a mortal. If the Tempest Knight receives grave injuries, unconsciousness and/or death can soon follow. Heavy emotions can also complicate the matter, and can possibly cloud the Captain's judgment. However, the Captain carries the strength of a human being: determination and willpower. The Captain has very clears goals, and will do anything and everything to achieve those goals.
Finally, the suit of armor that adorns Captain Malstrom offers more magical attributes than just Enhanced Physical Prowess. It protects the Captain from mental attacks (illusions, mind control, thought readings etc.), thus allowing the Templar to be more resistant to these abilities. Of course, Captain Malstrom is naturally more resistant to lightning-type and light-type attacks considering it is the Tempest Knight's specialties.
Personality
At first, the Captain may appear to be the quiet type, and hardly speaks any words at first. However, the Captain also carries an inquisitive nature, and will often question aloud the opponent's goals and motives. The Tempest Knight seeks to have a better understanding of the world and its inhabitants, while also seeking information about personal questions.
Unlike the fellow Knights of the Holy Order, Captain Malstrom understands that not everything is in black-and-white. Morality can be quite the tricky and complex matter with many gray areas. Many Knights typically are overzealous and seek to exterminate evil no matter the origins or reasons, but the Captain is not like that. Personal experiences have changed the Captain's outlook, and now the Knight tries to better understand others. Everybody has darkness inside of them, but there is always light within that darkness. The Captain holds that view very dearly and will continue being a warrior of light.
Of course, since the Captain is a part of the Knights of the Holy Order, the warrior is extremely disciplined and bound by honor. You will find no deceitful tricks within this warrior, whom will always fight fairly and on even terms. The Captain is a very serious person, and can hardly be considered lighthearted, only bits and pieces of a former playful self can resurface under the right circumstances. Captain Malstrom always seek to self-improve as well, knowing that complacency can be a rather dangerous thing in this cold-and-cruel world. In general, though, the Captain is considered a kind-hearted and good person, idealistically seeking to fix the world and personal matters.
Background
As a youth, Captain Malstrom undergone training at an academy for the magically gifted. Those that graduate the academy can commission as Knights of the Holy Order - a very prestigious organization composed of powerful warriors. Throughout the academy years, Malstrom was never really considered a prodigy, but was one of the higher-tiered students and had remarkably high potential. Malstrom even had the opportunity to go through a few missions to combat minor groups of bandits and other petty criminals.
Malstrom joined the Knights of the Holy Order at the young age of 17. It didn't take long before Malstrom successfully completed a few missions and took an actual leadership position as a Lieutenant. However, tragic events took place when Malstrom was around the age of 19. Malstrom participated in a battle - now hushed up by the Order - that nearly left the Knight at a near-death state. Ever since that fateful day, Malstrom has been training non-stop at an almost punishing rate. The strenuous training and constant challenges of missions proved fruitful, as Malstrom climbed up to higher ranks of a Captain. Now, Captain Malstrom is known as one of the most powerful Knights in the Order's history.
However, upon hearing the news of a legendary gladiator tournament coming up - rumored to be called the Rumble - Captain Malstrom immediately left and abandoned the sworn duties of a Knight. Apparently, whatever lies and awaits at the tournament, is far more important to the Captain than a career as a Holy Knight itself.
