Kirios
» » A harsh dictatorship that controls the majority of the continent's resources, Kirios is led by none other than his Royal Majesty, Tyndareus. Born in Gytheum over a century ago, he appears to be immortal and has ruled with an iron fist for the past several decades. His goal is to seize control of the entire continent, and eventually the world. His appearance is that of a man no older than the age of thirty, however, this effect is only due to youth potions which are given to him daily by his adviser. If he were to stop receiving this potion, he would age once more, starting slowly but gaining speed day by day. He is a seeker of the Relics.
Unfortunately, it would seem as though the years have taken their toll on the Emperor. He is often described as "mad." This world is nothing but a game of chess to him. He is the King and all of his pieces are perfect, yet it seems as though nobody else can play by his rules.
The wife of Tyndareus, Hermione also maintains a youthful appearance although it is rumored that she is barren. She has yet to bare Tyndareus a living heir. There are rumors regarding her history; some wilder than others. Some even believe that she was the wife of the late King Valek but who has lived long enough to say?
The royal adviser is a renowned sorcerer who is known to dabble in both science and sorcery. Not much is known about him as he prefers to stay behind the scenes. He is the creator and the commander of the elementals. There is no one closer to the king.

S'Vell
» A rival of Kirios. This is the country that held the best hopes of overcoming its neighbor as it possesses the second-largest military on the continent, followed closely by its ally, Mythos. Ruled by a monarchy for centuries, the country is ruled by the King and his wife. He came to the throne under the most dreadful of circumstances, a murder, in fact, the mysterious death of his father.
The king is content to rule but it seems that his son is eager for a chance to prove his worth. The prince of S'Vell is soon to be king and he is the commander of the S'Vellian armies.
The wife of an Edessian prince, the S'Vellian princess has always been a curious and adventurous spirit who has long hoped to leave her homeland. Living a sheltered life she has spent much of her time confined to the palace although she tested her limits as a teenager. Now the princess is a mother herself; the couple has a young son.

Mythos
» While this may appear to be a barren country on the map it is far from it in reality. Loaded with natural resources, particularly known for its fishing and diamond industries.
Unlike neighboring countries, the country of Mythos is known for being a matriarchal society. The title of ruler is passed down among the females in the country and men serve little purpose here beyond manual labor and as potential suitors.
The queen has been hard at work grooming her eldest daughter to take the throne and has shone a good deal of disdain toward her late husband's bastard son. Still, nothing is perfect as it seems that the Mythian princess is far from enthused about her role. She eagerly seeks to rule however she is highly suspicious of S'Vell and her allies. She has been appointed the protector of the Chain of Mirati.
The Mythian prince is the illegitimate son of the late king and his mistress. Spending years as the object of his stepmother's distaste, he finally made the decision to leave his native country, seeking refuge with the Mythian ally of S'Vell. He is the Guardian of the S’Vellian princess.

Chios
» The nation of Chios and S'vell have long been on the verge of war and tensions are progressively coming to a head. The situation appears to have reached the point of no return following their cancellation of the Chian Princess' engagement to the S'Vellian Prince. Any possibility for a truce between these two nations was lost.
But that is not all that has occurred in Chios. Following the death of his queen, the King of Chios wasted no time in courting a common chambermaid to be his wife. Unbeknownst to him, his new love is none other than the rebel second in command.
The twins, prince, and princess are currently on their way to Lake Reina where the third Relic is hidden. The two are undertaking a mission to find and deliver the Relic to Tyndareus himself. There are very few who could be considered more loyal than the twins, considering all they have done and will do to maintain their alliance with Kirios. However, the two share a unique bond that is known by very few, and those who do know may not speak of it under the penalty of death. The two have been blessed with abilities that complement each other; furthermore part of their bond makes it so if harm is done to one it will appear on the other.

Edessa
A large and prominent royal family, the Edessians have long been considered an ally to the nations of S'Vell and Mythos. The ruling king is rumored to have fifty sons and ten daughters all born to different wives. While many are still young, two are vital to this tale.
Many years ago an Edessian prince born to the reigning queen was betrothed to the S'Vellian princess as a small child. All seemed well and the Kings were certain that the union would be a strength to both nations. Yet tragedy would befall the kingdom and no marriage would take place. A surprise attack on S'Vellian turf by Kyrian soldiers. A young prince was taken and has long been believed to be dead.
The Edessian king was outraged. His son, his favorite at that, had been lost while under S'Vellian protection. There could be no alliance now. Still, it came as a great surprise when another, less favored, Edessian prince spoke up. He would marry the princess in his brother's place.
A charming and highly ambitious man with years of military experience under his belt. To break an alliance was risky, he knew. Of course, this was not his only reason for entering into the marriage. It is common knowledge that there is a slim chance of this prince ever seizing the Edessian throne with his many brothers and sisters.... whereas there is only one king standing before him in S'Vell. Their engagement was a strained affair but their relationship appears to have grown better with time, particularly after the birth of the couple’s son.

Pseira
» The homeland of our False Queen, Pseira is a nation that has suffered through much political and economic turmoil, especially under the rule of Tyndareus. Once considered a Chian territory, the nation is now under Kyrian protection as well as their ally Lutz. The nation is now enjoying peacetime and the famine has ended. The royal family is comprised of a king, a queen, the king's mistress, and three princes.

Lutz
» Located between the nations of Edessa and Chios, Lutz is considered to be a sort of paradise. Warm weather, sunny beaches, and a generally content populace. Lutz has always considered itself neutral in the face of war and has enjoyed luxuries that other nations have not. Rarely, if ever, has there been a concern over food shortages or internal strife. Of course, this nation does not welcome immigrants easily. The royal family is especially well off, comprised of a prince, a princess, and their parents. The family is well known for being a little pompous, some would consider their children downright spoiled.

Elementals
» If it weren't for the Kyran advisor, the Elementals would not be alive today. The first elemental was created by accident. A woman of flame created whilst committing the ultimate taboo: human transmutation. The emperor's advisor was man wracked with terrible grief. He had been secretly working towards resurrecting his late wife. A woman whom he loved like none other. As he first took in the site of the woman before him he didn't know how to react. She appeared to be an exact copy of the woman that he had so loved and yet... Should he rejoice? Something was wrong. For a moment he was fearful. This truly was taboo.
Fear was a good choice. Once she awoke, the fire elemental attacked him as she herself was afraid, uncertain of where she had come from and why. With a great deal of effort, the advisor was able to subdue her and placed the elemental in a deep sleep. It was time to use her for research. How had he done this? She wasn't his wife... but she was still alive. His excitement renewed he began making plans to face the Kyrian emperor.
.He subjected the elemental as he called her to many different experiments in order to test her strengths and weaknesses. Though he initially believed himself to be in control... she seemed unstable. While there were periods where she would obey every order, he found that as her personality grew so did her temper.
Not long after this, he made another attempt using a similar method yet he replaced the fire with ocean water. This time a male humanoid was created. The male was perfect.
The elementals of air and earth were different from his first two experiments. Two Kyrian women who were lucky enough to be 'blessed,' by the Kyrian advisor. As each woman labored the advisor was able to pass along the power of the elementals to each woman's daughter. Never aging past thirty and near immortality. A gift was given to each as long as they lived their lives in the service of the great empire. He took these children from their mothers shortly after their birth and sent them to be raised in the palace.
For decades all would be well enough. War had been declared and the elementals had provided an advantage in keeping the unruly citizens at bay. Yet away from the observant eyes of the Kyrian advisor, a storm was brewing. Though the two had never seen eye to eye the elementals of fire and water were locked in a power struggle. Each sought to lead the group and held very different ideas about what the role of the elementals ought to play. The water elemental proved loyal to the Kyrian empire whilst the elemental of fire continued to grow increasingly frustrated. She believed herself superior. Why should she answer the humans? They were better than that. Eventually, she would take her leave in the midst of battle. The advisor sent the others out to find her yet it seemed impossible. It was as if she had vanished into the ashes of the battlefield. Upon hearing of her departure, the great King Tyndareus was sent into a frenzy. A rogue elemental? She was a threat. He ordered his advisor to create a new being and placed a pretty price on the original's head.

The Revolutionists
There are very few who would even think of daring to defy Tyndareus. Yet there have been whispers of those who would attempt to do such a thing. The leader of the movement has been considered a visionary of sorts. And yet he is a man of humble beginnings from a poor Kyrian village. He dreams of a better world. He is an excellent strategist and has stationed his followers as key figures around the continent. He remains in Kirios continuing to inspire rebellion and recruit more soldiers. Of course, one must wonder if he is being completely honest with his intentions. If it sounds too good to be true...
There is no individual who could be considered more loyal than his right hand and partner in crime. Much like her beloved leader, the second in command was raised in a poor village in the nation of Pseira. As an adult, her travels would take her to Kirios where she would first hear the whispers of revolution. She would hang onto every word and dedicate herself to the cause. Unknown to all except the leader of the Revolutionists, she is stationed in the nation of Chios. Here she appears to have won the heart of the king.
