Deadwing's Dominion of Despair OOC--[M] Bluemoon and Holeypaladin

The devastation began only a few months past with the emergence of the undead dragon Deadwing and his unholy horde of skeletal minions, formed from the bodies of long dead ancients buried in the tombs and barrows of his lair. Moving through the mountainous regions of Turalisj Tonash, they laid waste to the towns and populace alike, leaving little more than smoldering ash in their wake. As the newly dead joined their ranks, reanimated by an undead wizard's magic, the legion grew, adding wights, liches, and vampires to its force. The dragon seemed unstoppable...

As the death toll increased, Imperial knights were dispatched by the Empire to gather information to help defeat the dragon. Armies marched, most often to their doom, in an attempt to intercept the threat and destroy it. All to no avail. As Deadwing continued his plague of death and despair, little stood in his way to world domination.

The story will start in the small town of Highview, a mostly human settlement that had the misfortune of being in the direct pathway of the undead legion.

Name: Eletha (El) Aeris

Age: 24

Race: Human/Elf hybrid

Class: Rogue (thief)

Weapons: (to start)

Appearance: El stands at 5'6" and has a slender figure, more reminiscent of a teenager than an adult. Her piercing blue eyes are framed in locks of strawberry blonde falling to just below the shoulders. Pushing out from the glossy strands are pointed ears, the tell-tale sign of her elfin heritage. She has a pale scar on the left side of her forehead which travels past the side of her nose, ending midway down her right cheek. Her back also sports several long scars from the touch of a whip.

El typically is seen wearing a brown, high-necked, tunic-like top with hood and tan breeches tucked into leather boots. She also wears a leather breast plate and fingerless gloves which cover the lower half of her arms. Although serviceable, her clothing is worn and more often dirty than clean.



Skills: Like most thieves, El is nimble and tends to focus on dodging a fight rather than participating in one. She relies on speed and rapid attacks from concealment whenever possible. Stealth is her main go-to skill, allowing her the ability to sneak into areas to pick locks and pockets quite efficiently.

Her elfin half also provides her with a shadow melding ability that only occurs during times of stress--her physical form seeming to fade into the darkness when she is in the shadows and remains motionless. It is not something she is consciously aware of, the magic taking on a life of its own when her heartbeat quickens due to anxiety.

Name: Wilhelm von Reichskapital

Age: 31ish

Race: Magically enhanced human

Class: Imperial Knight (Radiant energy specialty)

Appearance: Standing around 5'10", Wilhelm isn't particularly imposing in stature, though his strength and speed are far superior than one would expect from a man his size. Being far older than the average life expectancy of a questing knight, he has proven himself to be made of sturdy stuff indeed. With brown hair and blue-green eyes, he is far too rugged in appearance to be considered supermodel material, though he radiates with a power that can have compulsive effects on those around him.

Wilhelm typically wears heavy armor, conjured by his Foundry circuit along with his weapons, providing him resistance to normal weapons as well as magical attacks. His shiny armor makes him a shiny target, attracting the attention of hostile undead and drawing them away from his allies.



Skills: In the grand tradition of knights, Wilhelm has a mastery over martial melee weapons, along with a select few ranged weapons, which he rarely uses. Despite the difficulty of using a ball and chain type weapon, he is able to employ it efficiently in combat, both for entangling the weapons and limbs of his opponent, and smashing their skulls to pieces. Against dragons, he uses a dragonbane polearm, as normal weapons are practically useless against them.

His magical circuits allow him to employ a number of arcane spells, though he specializes in those designed to destroy undead, which consequently include Restoration spells that just so happen to have healing effects when used on the living. The ability to harm undead while simultaneously healing himself and his allies is the primary reason he has lived so long.
