    Default Movie Review Thread

Have you seen a movie? Do you want others to know about it? This is the thread for you!

Post a movie you've seen here, accompanied with an out-of-ten score, and an optional little blurb about it. Then, tag the movie you're reviewing!

For example I'll use a relatively well known movie:

Silence of the Lambs (1991) - 9/10 - A fantastically directed psychological thriller that I'd recommend to any moviegoer. Only minor complaint is the lack of variety in the cinematography and shot composition.

Star Wars: A New Hope 9/10

Probably the definitive example of Space-Fantasy. The film has an exciting plot of action-adventure, great scenes and a cast of strong memorable characters. The only reason's I didn't give it a perfect 10 are the sometimes hammy dialogue and a few character inconsistencies. Also the fact they didn't give Chewie a medal at the end of the story - a decision which made absolutely zero sense.

Just saw Brothers Bloom a month or two ago, and I'm still thinking about it.

I give it a good 8.5/10, super high on my favorites list. I want to grow up to be Penelope.

    Watership Down 8/10

This is a movie based on the book of the same name. For those who haven't either seen it or read the book it's principally about the adventures of a group of rabbits who set off in search of a new home. It's a pretty old film and even for it's time a lot of the animation seems pretty basic however it's also a pretty faithful adaptation of the book with a good story and strong characters. For a children's movie it is also quite dark and scary in places particularly in terms of the amount of blood shown on screen and it certainly scared me quite a bit when I first saw it as a kid.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

    A solid 8/10

While there were moments that appeared to have subpar cgi those moments didn't feel subpar. The look fit the scene. Other then that one critique the movie was a fun telling of Arthurian Lore. Definitely worth a visit by any fan of fantasy.

I wanted to watch the King Arthur movie at first; but, it had such bad review, I figured on waiting until it came out on Netflix. I'll be sure to see it now. Thanks Dnafein.

    Spiderman: Homecoming

    10/10

Nailed the spirit of the characters, even the ones who had been altered. Is an incredibly fun movie. A MUST see.
