I used to be a really pessimistic, negative person. In college, I had a psychology professor give us the assignment to write down three things that went well every day for a week. Studies have shown that writing down good things that went well or things you are grateful for can help rewire your negative brain into being more positive. Even if it feels like you’re forcing yourself to look on the bright side, over time, it becomes habit. So let’s start an awesome, upbeat thread. No negativity here!
The only rules are stay positive and answer the question:
What went well for you today?
I’ll start!
I had a great day at work and didn’t deal with a single unhappy customer!
Despite the extreme heat warning in my area, I beat the heat and visited an awesome indoor pool.
I got paid today and it was more than I expected!
