For a long time now, the UNSC have been engaged in war against the Covenant. The Covenant has had prevalent forces compared to the UNSC, which resulted in many upsetting events for the UNSC. This war has been in motion long enough.
A Frigate of UNSC Marines known as The Prevalent Colossus have been battling against the Covenant in their Super Carrier known as The Twilight Sentinel. The battle was going alright until one of the Covenant Battle Cruiser known as Exterminatus fired one of the main cannons and destroyed the ships main defensive cannon. Now with the Covenant fleet on approach and ready to board and take the ship, there is little hope of survival. There is however a big planet that they were battling next to that has just been seized under control by the UNSC about 7 months ago. The ship got set on a crash course for the planet that no one really knows anything about yet. The ship lands around 100 kilometers away from the next military base. The Covenant Cruisers begin to land near where the crash site is and are preparing for an assault on the human cruise ship.
Mammoth squad is a group of ODSTs, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, that are used in special missions. They have been better trained that the Marines that we see in the story by a considerable amount. They are hard to beat and have a hardened will. They rarely run from a fight, but will take a tactical retreat. Mammoths squad’s significance is that they’re battle hardened, have been in many fights without being killed. They are the higher ups when it comes to being an ODST, though they do not serve a higher rank. They are higher ups through reputation only.
Here is what many ODSTs can look like.
They're primary color is black but they can have any color on their shoulder pads and parts of their helmet as shown.
As in all Halo games, movies, books, etc… there is going to be war. You are going to take place as a UNSC soldier part of the Mammoth Squad. Many adventures lie ahead.

If you have to be away for a little while and can't post, just send me a message so I can make sure that I don't somehow delete your character. This is to promote a fun, yet fair roleplay so that it doesn't get held up.

No godmodding.
No controlling other characters unless the other player give you permission.
