Which is why I'm willing to say that they're pretty much equal, they're both endless, and while the Necron might have the C'than, then Orks have the WAAAGH!!! which actually is something considerably powerfull. The reason no one know how Ork technology works is because, technically it shouldn't work at all. When an Ork holds his rifle it fires because he wants it to fire, when he lets it go it's just a useless hunk of metal that can't do anything if someone who isn't an Ork picks it up.

Orks are also incredibly tough, you could blow of half of an Orks head and he'll still come after you untill you blow the other half off, and that isn't as easy as it would sound. Plus, if you don't blow the other half off, he might be able to get his head stiched back together and come back even stronger.

There's one other issue though: Orks are their own biggest enemy.
The necron and tyranids are one cohesive whole. But the orks are a rabble who follow the ork who proves himself the strongest. But that give the issue that in-fighting is a big risk among orks.

True, true, but the longer the fight goes on the faster a leader everyone will follow will be chosen. So unless the Orks have been completely whiped out they will eventually become organized and even more dangerous. There's also the whole "Super Sayan Syndrome" they have, meaning the more they fight the stronger they get, so even if a few of them die from the infighting the others will just become even stronger from it. I mean, a "newborn" Ork is about 6 feet tall, while an Ork veteran who's been in a few fights will stand at around 12 feet.

Actually, there is a way to kill Orks permanently. you simply Virus Bomb the planet, or destroy their space hulks. Simple feat for the Ultramarines.

Destroying a space hulk wouldn't do shit, maybe kill a few thousand Orks, but if one of them got down on the planet it would be infested forever. Not sure how effective virus bombing would be either, seeing how rescilient the Orks are, and if a spore managed to get in to a remote crevice somewhere it'd stay there untill it was safe for it to start spreading.

Oh, and destroying a space hulk isn't a "simple feat" for anyone.

Wait, aren't the Yuuzhan Vong from Star Wars? I might not know everything about Warhammer 40K, but I've never heard of them being in it :/

it was in a crossover fanfic. In fact, a Yuuzhan Vong Slayer killed a warboss in single combat. Then again, they were meant for killing Jedi. Though, according to Psyker Ranks, they only go up to Epsilon or Delta rank.

I'm officially considering to actually collecting my own WH40K models. So far the only thing I had involving WH40K were the Dawn of War series. Still like those, but I wanna try something else.
Now... The only thing I'm wondering, is what to get...
I think I'd preferably start of with Space Marine, but I have a choice. There's two chapters of Space marines I like: The Imperial Fists and the Blood Angels.
But I don't know, for what chapter I should go to begin collecting. The Blood Angels have ofcourse specific units for their chapter, like the Death Company. The Imperial Fists don't, but they're just plain epic.

And if I do start off with this, what units do you guys suggest I buy first?
