Personality: Mackenzie is very girly. Pink, frills, lace, and bows. She doesn’t like to get dirty, or play any sports. She would much rather spend her time shopping or doing new things to her hair. Like any typical girly girl Mackenzie doesn’t like any form of insect and will let out a shrill scream if she sees one. She’s a very big neat freak and likes everything to be in order. Her room looks like something out of a magazine and so does the rest of her home. If one thing is out of place she gets very irked and has even thrown fits about it. You could say she is a perfectionist. And being a perfectionist she takes her body figure very seriously and her diet even more seriously.
Bio: Mackenzie grew up in a very disorderly and messy home. Her mother worked odd hours and she did come home she wouldn’t lift a figure. Dishes were constantly stacked up high, bugs and rodents in the house, dirty clothes scattered everywhere. Her mother would sit and eat and complain about how large she was getting, but never did anything about it. She was far too ashamed to bring any of her friends over due to the disgusting life she hid away in her house. Her father had a drinking problem so he was never home either. Instead of going out and working like any real man should he was at the bar wasting his life away drink by drink. Mackenzie did a very good job of shying away from the habits her parents were unintentionally teaching their toddler. Her room was the only clean haven in the house, she cooked all the meals, cleaned messes up when she could and kept the family going.
In high school Mackenzie had found school activities and friends to keep her away from her home. Her grades were great and colleges were impressed by her academic achievements. All her life she had received 100’s on everything. It was like it was impossible for her to get any other kind of grade than a perfect score. One day in biology she couldn’t stand to look at the frog that was put on display in front of her. She refused to look at the organs and sit there in that smelly room, so she would go to the chem lab with an anatomy book and study for the test. Instead of paying attention the book she would listen in on the lecture of the class or talk with some of her friends that were in the back of the room. The day of the test Mackenzie felt like she did great and would get the same score as always, but when the test was handed back she received a 92. She let out this tiny scream and began to cry and shake and just throw an all-out fit. The teachers had to call the nurses in to take her somewhere so she wouldn’t make a scene in the class room and further embarrass herself. When they asked her why she threw such a fit over a great grade she simply told them that it wasn’t perfect.
Her husband was the one to catch her shoving her fingers down her throat in the bathroom.
She was 8 months pregnant with their baby boy and she was throwing up the nutrients their baby needed! He wasn’t sure what to do. He picked her up off the ground and started yelling at her and telling her how bad that was for her and the baby. Mackenzie showed no emotion in her face and told him she needed to stay in shape or she would end up like her mother. The baby ended up dying during labor, sending Mackenzie into a ery depressed state. She wouldn’t get out of bed, eat, sleep or do anything. She would just lay there with her hands on her stomach and just stare off into the distance. Mackenzie’s husband tried everything that he could to cheer her up, but nothing seemed to work. One evening he came upstairs and found her lying on the floor of their bathroom with an empty pill bottle in her hand. She was unresponsive and didn’t seem to be breathing.
After all her fits about things being perfect, her constant refusal to eat, and her suicide attempt left her husband no choice but to seek help elsewhere. He contacted the mental institution and told them of everything that had happened and asked for them to come pick her up. Mackenzie didn’t understand why she was being betrayed by the man she loved but she went quietly with the men that arrived to get her. She took one last look back at her husband and realized that would probably be the last time she saw him.
Why you’re in here: OCD, suicide attempt and eating disorder.
What got you here: Her constant fits over things being out of place and having the urge to have everything perfect. If it’s not perfect it’s no good. She was caught starving herself and when she would eat she would purge the food.
