Well, the way I see it, and I do feel kind of bad for even thinking this, but toddy and toddies could be short for toddler and toddlers, respectively.

I don't drink alcohol, but I went to a comedy show recently that had a 2 item minimum and the name of one of their non-alcoholic "mocktails" made me laugh.
