eh, it's just part of the song.
if he stole it, then he's lying.
besides, what does he have to gain be lying since he's dead... besides his reputation...

and besides, all I have his a mine, a few grenades, a 50. caliber sniper, an AK-47, and a few handguns of various make and model on me right now.
I'd need to go all the way back to base for the bigger stuff. I can only carry so much.

    *racks bolt*
    o, that's good.

All very good detective work. I confess I do feel let down also, which would be yet another lie.

We should probably consult Biscuit for how best to greet others of his kind. He must be rather novel if he speaks with humans. I wonder if the others admire or fear that?

    he's dead anyhow
and I'm not one for seances.
I can talk, but not to the dead. I'd rather blow up the board than use it.
I feel it's stupid how people abuse it

I'm the sniper, not the diplomat
you want to talk, go ahead
I'll cover you while you get blasted
    positions can be debated
but I'm not the one sedated

Honestly eliminating the board does seem like a sound way of winning that particular game!

It's pleasant that you often rhyme.
Most won't afford it any time,
But reading yours is always fun
And I can't be the only one!

On that note, for those of you who haven't participated in the Halloween event yet, please do! I'm dying to know what's in the basement thread and would love to see what all of you come up with in the meme and writing challenges. They also have a "The Porch" chat thread for discussion that seems like a holiday version of what we've made this thread into, haha. Maybe we can sneak some clues out of the Admins & Mods if they are feeling chatty?

    chatty they may be
    but soon we shall see
    who the greatest survivalist is
    for I survived the wasteland
to which man men have been band

    the men that die
    and the men that live
    the men the survive
    and those who thrive

    so bring on the beast
we shall see who is the least
for I'm the last to fall
for I have faced many a trial
    few have the gall
but I do not succumb to vile

what some do is rather bile
but I have the Holy Bible
for God is my shield and my guide
    and he will provide

so let's see what the devil brings
though I believe they are horrid things
yet he shall burn in the light of his grace
just remember that this life is not a race
but a test and a challenge

to make us stronger and become like him
    there is no greater feat
to be as great and kind, nothing else could beat.

though I may threaten and kill
I do it because I must
for death, I have had more than my fill
to the Lord I'd rather kneel

the victory is already won by him who died for us
    he shall not forsake us
    his brothers and sisters
to outer darkness if we come to him, the one who saved us

dang I just went on a roll

Haha, you did! And religious poetry has a long tradition so it's nice to see people still have an interest in it!

    If Gunpowder's of interest
    Along with pretty rhymes,
    You might look into Southwell
    From wild Shakespeare's times.

    He was a Catholic Jesuit
Though never would he speak of it:
For he bore a chaplain's lot
While his fellows worked to plot
    With Babington who would offend
    By seeking Elizabeth's end.

If you've never heard of Robert Southwell, he's quite an interesting character to look into... relative of William Shakespeare and a secret Jesuit, among other colourful things. The point of mentioning him, though, is that he was also a poet and hymnist who, coincidentally, was associated a bit with the Babington and Gunpowder Plots in the string of Catholic-Protestant assassination plots of the time, so also fond of exploding things!
