Anyone know a good first role play to be a part of?

Hyia there, new player here who's wondering where a role-play classifying as a modern fantasy would belong? There's a game from another site that I never got started since I was one player short of the absolute minimum for it to work and now I've lost patience with it. It's kind of fantasy, but modern fantasy as I said, and perhaps not really what would fit into the regular fantasy tab. Will this be a problem, or can I just slap it in there with no second thought?

Go to the main page, and browse some roleplays until you find one that you like. There are a lot of good ones that you can find, so go and dwell inside the roleplay forums.

I'm pretty sure that that belongs in fantasy, unless it's mature.

Hmm, maybe mature when I think of it. It says in the rules that gore puts a game in the mature section, but to what extent does this count? The role-play I'm planning on slapping in would be likely to include people getting crushed, blown up, burned, maimed and have all kinds of unpleasant things done to them, but it will only be mentioned that it happens and won't really be described in any manner of detail. Does it still count as belonging in the mature tab?

Asking because it might not be so obvious as you might think. Rules work very differently from site to site.

If it isn't really described then it might work in fantasy, but generally those are more in the Mature section.

Hi, i'm new here and i'm hoping to get back into the swing of roleplaying.

I started roleplaying when I was 15 and i'm quite a bit older than that now! I've got a handful of characters, some who are still a work in progress. I prefer the fantasy (both medieval and modern) genre but i'm pretty open to any genre and willing to give most things a go
