The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

Welcome apprentice, as Pastafarian Minister, I extend thy noodly appendage to you.

Our success in spreading the truth has been ever so fruitful. Years of toil and trouble, and now almost every person in the world has been righteously converted. Everyone believes. Everyone can see the great balls and noodly appendages of our Lord. Everyone knows. From a group of true believers in 2005 to the apex of all beliefs in 2014, we have truly grown.

But back before that, no one knew the truth...

The Pastafarians of today would have never existed had it not been for our great tome of knowledge. Here.

It's heavy... And unmarked... What is it?

It is what we call an encyclopedia. It holds great importance. It informs, it educates, it teaches the truth.

But doesn't everyone have this? And why give it to me?

We have a task for you.

What is the task, minister?

You're to be sent back in time to spread the truth.

Sent back in time? How?

We have been developing a secret machine. You have skill, that's why we chose you. The holy passages cannot be read back then as the language used is rather... Dated. Drink this.

I drank it, Minister, what do I-

You get sucked in by a vortex.

Where am I?

You stare at the landscape and notice a significant difference in architecture. You stare at the grass, the woods, the castles with family crests in the distance... You hypothesize that the drink was what allowed you to travel back in time... To the Middle Ages.

This can't be happening...

You notice a group of men armed with spears walk from the castle with a man in rags towards the elevated town square full of onlookers. Once they reached the square, you see that a guard kicked him while shouting something incomprehensible. Seconds later, you see the man kneel next to a man with an ax.

No way...

A man in white comes from the castle, he appears to be preaching about a non-pasta diety before making the sign of the cross towards the man. After his preaching, the executioner performs his titular role.

It sends you in a slightly panicking fit.

But you then realize the book next to you. It was the unmarked encyclopedia. You then start envisioning yourself preaching- You could preach the truth about the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster... Or preach them for more... Devious reasons. You then make a choice.

Spoiler: Rules 

1. Standard RPA rules must be followed
2. No Gary-Mary Sues, albeit it -might- be the goal
3. My word is law.
4. Joining this RP means you are not offended by the possibly slanderous (And maybe hilarious) ways religion is portrayed. You will also not be offended at the sight of seeing someone worship ponies and sacrificially offer moist, moist cupcakes.
5. The OOC chat is for requesting or debating what happens next. You could also post idle thoughts in, but arguing or acting immature will catch my attention.
6. If you have accepted these rules, post 'Spaghetti Monster' at the end of your post. No acceptance, no entry.

Spoiler: Plot 

You've been warped to Middle Age Europe with naught but an Encyclopedia and a fuzzy mission about spreading the truth about The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. But when you get there, you realize no one can stop you from preaching something else... That's when the fun begins.

So you want to cause a rampage in Middle Age Europe? Feel free.
Sacrifice young maidens to the Noodly God? Why not?
Lead an Inquisition? Sure.

Knowledge is power during the Middle Ages- And you have an Encyclopedia.

Spoiler: Setting 

1. You are a person warped in time to preach the truth, or whatever belief you wish to spread to a Middle Aged Europe.
2. Your character experienced the exact situation when he/she joins the RP. Refer to the story above.
3. You might face other preachers (Other characters) in a battle of beliefs.
4, Hilarity will be highly praised, but keep whatever hilarious event within reason.

Appearance: Common sense dictates you do not have pink/red hair or the people you preach may skin you for witchcraft, or whatever obscure reason

1. All characters have similar body builds (Better than a normal person, Worse than an athlete)
2. No, you can't start off knowing martial arts. You are a generic person with a book.
3. The book allows you to educate (And thus have power over) subjects. Knowledge is power and you have an encyclopedia.
4. The book allows you to communicate with others. Going more than 20 meters away from it will no longer translate whatever language your people speak. No book = Random person speaking English in a Latin-Speaking Region
5. Unless you preach the same religion, other preachers will hate you for preaching. Contact with other player characters of different religions automatically cause disgust unless romantic feelings are developed.

Beliefs: Infology, the belief that information should be worshiped and revered

Bio: He grew up as a lonesome person, no one enjoyed his company due to his blunt attitude along with his irritating pet peeves for getting information right. He was nicknamed a 'walking book', as a result. Whenever he hears anyone within earshot talking about facts, he'll listen carefully for them. If they made a mistake, he'd lash out and correct them. It didn't matter if they were a teacher or professor, he'd do so regardless.

After graduating high school, he was intrigued by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. He joined in after researching about its origins- A satire of religions. It was a sign that modern times were approaching, a way to push out the incorrect teachings of religion. As a result, he began researching as many facts as he could- He believes that a barrage of realism and truth would wash away foolish beliefs. He eventually became obsessed with it, worshiping information, more correctly, a realistic and fatalistic view of life.

It was at his highest point when the Pastafarian Minister 'volunteered' him to preach the Noodly God to Middle Aged Plebians.

Attitude: Lonesome, bookish, knowledgeable and cunning yet cowardly, meticulous and introverted.

Fundamentals of the religion is to live a life that is pleasing to the Creator who is an androgynous super being of life.
The Creator created all things in this world and all things are sentient to varying degree. The Creator created The Sun who is The Grandfather of all life and The Moon who is the one who gives us the knowledge. Together they had Father Time who does the Healing of all Life and Mother Nature who does the Nourishing of all Life.
We are the Children of the Creation of Life. Those who believe a superior being created all life are brothers and sisters. We are told in this Book of Life how to live in Peace and Harmony with each other. We have been given Laws of Life to Live By.
Listen to what the Book of Life has to say to each of us! All of these things we must do to enter a New World of Life. Follow these Laws every day to be sure to get in the New World of Life!
Laws of Life to Live By
01) Live your Life by being the best that you can be with the Talents that you are given.
02) Treat all Life as if it is your Own Life. All Life is Special in its own Way.
03) Take care of One and Another as if that Life is your One Way Ticket to New World of Life.
04) Do not Kill or Harm any Life for what goes around, comes around.
05) Do not Point your Finger at another Life for if you Point at another Life there are always
three fingers pointing back to you and your Life.
06) Give freely to those who do not have enough. It will be returned 3 fold by the The End
Days.
07) Share the wealth for you can not take it to New World of Life.
08) Do not waste your wealth either, save some for a Rainy Day.
09) Idle Hands tend to find mischief while Busy Hands tend to be Productive.
10) Heal the Sick.
11) Bless those who Give Freely.
12) Bless those who Share the Wealth.
13) Teach Others about Life and the Wonders of it.
14) Sing Teaching Songs.
15) Remember those who are in Higher Life.

17) Do not spread rumors and lies for someone may spread some about you.

Bio:
Mystique wandered through Life without any particular direction until she found someone talking about a Supreme Being called The Creator. She listened and studied then thought about the basic theory of Creation of Life. It was much better than thinking that all Life came from some kind of explosion that resulted in life and the evolution of higher life. She began to speak of the Creation of Life to others until one day The Creator came to her in a Dream.
Attitude: Once she was existing now she is happy to be learning so many things from how to really Live to Learning new lessons. She feels happy and enthusiastic yet slightly lonely for male companionship. She knows that one day she would find her mate who would believe as she does. She is much more energetic and eager to Live.
Appearance: Mystique has long brown hair tied back from her heart shaped face. Her eyes are warm chocolatey brown with gold flecks in them. At 5 foot and 2 inches, she is on the short side but well built 125 pounds of muscle.

Spoiler: Wittles (Religion of the Dancing Queen) - Xeh 

Name: Wittles

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Beliefs: The Religion of the Dancing Queen. In said religion, the world was created by many Gods, who were quickly defeated by a great witch. This witch then devoted her infinite lifespan to creating the perfect dance. She is a very temperamental Goddess.

Bio: Worked as a street performer doing stunts and writing naughty poems about passers-by.

Attitude: Wittles is a trickster at heart. He loves getting people into difficult situations and then watching the consequences. As such, being forced back in time with advanced knowledge suits him well.

Appearance: Rather boring looking. Brown hair, Brown eyes. you wouldn't really pick him out of a crowd. He walks with a slight limp due to a cartwheeling injury that broke his leg years ago.

above all patience is a virtue :3 It's only been a day. Some Rp's take a little longer to get off the ground. That doesn't mean they're not going to be fantastic, it just means it takes a little longer to find the right audience
