History
In the beginning of time, elves, dwarves, the Elds all lived in prosperity for centuries, mastering the art of magic and alchemy. Until there was a time called the Shattering, a disastrous event that nearly destroys the world. Mountains were split in half, cities were flooded, volcanoes violently spits out lava. After the Shattering occured, humanity appeared. Apparently they lived underground for centuries, their existence remained unknown to the Other Races until the end of the Shattering.
Humanity began to spread like wildfire, creating massive kingdoms and empires across the lands. But there is one thing that the humans and the Other Races do not know, or at least not aware of. Monsters began to appear in many regions across the world, a product of the Shattering.
As these deadly beasts appeared, the human and the Other Races population are declining rapidly as the monsters slaughtered the innocents, pillaging villages, besieging small cities. To fight against this threat, the humans, elves, dwarves and the Elds formed an alliance to fight back the monsters, this event is known as the Great Reclamation, a terrible war waged upon the unholy beasts. The alliance eventually reclaimed most of their lands, the monsters' numbers soon dwindle.
Years later, kingdoms began to rise from the ashes of war. Such as the mighty Hytlegaardian Empire and the glorious Kingdom of Terramor in the main lands, the Wolfclaw Order in the north, the Qushran Sultanate in the south, the Kingdom of Praevor in the west and the Republic of Gaius in the east. And they all lived in peace for a long time.
Until the words of an undead army began to rise far to the north of the Wolfclaw Order. The legion of the dead only managed to destroy parts of the north, only to find out its advances were halted by a group of individuals said to be wielding the power of the gods. The same army invaded the south, only to be crushed by the Immortals. The identity of these heroes remained unknown but it is for certain they will only appear when something or someone threatens the world.

Humans are known to be the ones to find sanctuary beneath the ground during the cataclysmic events known as the Shattering. The humans are listed as Meron, Durgan and Kyrthun in Elven, Dwarven and Eldich history codices respectively. Countless undergound cities were built way before the events of the Shattering and ruins of these settlements can still be found to this day by various excavations, complete with ancient relics of the ancient humans.
After the Shattering, humans began to learn magic and managed to master the arts of magic in a short period of time. Then, they soon began to spread across the lands, building countless civilizations as they explore the world while also encountering different types of monsters.
War of the Lotus
Years after the Great Reclamation ended, the humans built mighty kingdoms. And some time after these kingdoms prospered, war ensued. The second emperor of the Hytlegaardian Empire was assasinated, blaming the Kingdom of Terramor as the one who did it. The surrounding nations chose their side in the war, some supported the Empire, declaring that the Kingdom was guilty while others, chose to side with Terramor.
The war was named as the War of the Lotus, the name was associated by the symbols carried by both sides of the war; the red lotus of the Hytlgaardian Empire and the black lotus of Terramor. This war went down in history as the darkest moments of the human race, where the Other Races didn't interfere requested by the kings of both sides.
Years later, the war ended with the true criminals were brought to justice, the ambassadors of Republic of Gaius hired an assassin to kill the emperor, seeking plans to expand their territory.
The Bloodhunts
Bloodhunters, or Bloodhuntresses are the world's professional monster slayers, equipped with the right weapons such as a mastercrafted sword and a few potions as well as the vast knowledge of monsters, Bloodhunts are the pinnacle of the human army during the Great Reclamation. Because of this, Bloodhunts originated from the humans before the Other Races have their own type of Bloodhunts.
Bloodhunts often battle demonic creatures, to survive blows from these fiends, recruits are required to drink a compound of various potions to enhance their senses, reflexes and resistance to diseases. However, most recruits either suffering mutations which deforms their physical appearance or die. If one survives, the Bloodhunt Order welcomes him/her.
The duty of a Bloodhunt is to eradicate the creatures that prowled in the dark, or at least that's what people used to think about these warriors, they once revered them as heroes, fighting against the monsters. Now, they were simply outcasts, a remnant of their past.
The Witchborn
Witchborns, the human masters of magic and sorcery. Like all other magic users, Witchborns have to obey two rules, never study necromancy and never learn blood bending. Witchborns came to existence during the Great Reclamation as the human army requires more than just apothecaries. They need sorcerers and sorceresses.
That was the first reason why Witchborns were needed. But after years the war has ended, Witchborns were later treated as outcasts, freaks to the human society, similar to how they treated the Bloodhunts. But, thanks to Ca'tha'el's efforts in the war, the Witchborn's numbers are rising, some even think that they are a new race altogether, similar to the monster-slayers.
Spoiler: Scarlet Codex (Religions)
Many of the humans and the Other Races believed in something. Either believing that their lives were watched over by a pantheon of gods or an unknown entity, religions are one of the many influential things that exists in every world.
Elves are one of the earliest races to exist in the world, they believe that the world was created by Myrhha, the goddess of truth and Faeldon, the god of justice. There are other deities, and these gods represent an aspect of life, such as Ja'khal the god of lies and trickery, Kur'daron, the god of war. And during the Shattering, the elves once thought it was the way the gods punishes them.
Humans once believed in 4 deities which can transform into dragons, believing that the dragon gods protects them from a realm unknown to the living. But as time passes by like the wind, Dhaera, a woman proclaims that she heard the words of the Great Constructor himself, claiming that this Constructor is the one true god. Centuries passed, the Dhaeric Belief is the most influential religion to ever exist.
The Dwarves believes by the Worldgem, they live. By the Worldgem, they die. These master blacksmiths didn't believe in any deities, instead they believe that the Worldgem, the supposed source of all life is also the end of all creation. Thus, the Dwarves believe that freedom is everything in order to live their lives to the fullest.
Order above all, is what the Elds believes in. They believe sanctuary exists not only in the world made for the dead, but also in the physical world. The Alqan Orders revolves around order and honour in life. The Elds worshipped Reas, their god of honour and war who they believe will guide the honorable dead safely through the River of the Departed and to the Sovrnhal, a place where all of the good, honorable souls reside.
However, other minor religions such as the Crugon Religion, which the Northmen believes that the honorable dead will find a place in Varll, a similar place to the Eld's Sovrnhal.

The technology in this world is close to the medieval times although firearms do exists, but these kind of weapons can only purchased by noblemen.
Magic
Magic do exist in the world of Terra. Once, the people who learned magic were extremely rare, some even think they do not exist. That is before the Great Reclamation took place, when the terrible war finally took place, an elf named Ca'tha'el founded the Witchborn Association, a place where people can learn magic.
However, using magic also had their own set of rules:
To never learn the art of necromancy
To never learn the art of blood
The basic form of magic exists in the form of signs and short chants. Ignal, is the spell to let out a burst of flame from one's hand. Hryk, used to influence one's mind. Valryn, a light so bright that it temporarily blinds nearby individuals. Qol, a protective aura that lasts a few minutes. And Xura'ahk, telekinetic push. These basic spells were commonly used by Bloodhunts. Witchborns used these spells only for training before moving on to more advanced spells.
Setting
The world is Terra, a world that existed in the Mortal Plain. It is a lush green world filled with mountains and oceans, as well as terrifying beasts. There are other worlds exists in the Mortal Plain, perhaps there are over a hundred of them and Terra is one of many.

Playable Races
Humans - Now, the most dominant race on Terra.
Other Races - Terms used to describe elves, dwarves and Elds.
Elves - Said to be the first to found magic, Elves can be easily distinguished by their elongated and pointy ears.
Dwarves - A race of short humanoid creatures, basically a shorter version of the humans. Known to be masters of architecture and smithing, dwarves are strong and knowledgeable of mastering the use of the 'Hammer & Anvil'
Elds - Grey-skinned humanoids and slightly taller than humans. Elds are known to be raiders during the ancient times.
Wildborne - Humans that can transform into monsters, a result of a curse.
Frostborne - Humans that are masters of the bow and arrow. Most Frostbornes lived in the north, alongside the Northmen.
Bloodhunt - A normal human at first, now professional monster slayer. Masters of monster hunting and swordsmanship. Now, Bloodhunts' numbers are dwindling.
Witchborn - A human that mastered magic, either using it for combat or others. Most Witchborns are members of the Mage Circle, participating in wars.
Dracons/Da'arkin - Dragon-humanoid creatures found near volcanoes and mountains. Rare, very rare for their numbers are dwindling after the Great Reclamation, for most were slaughtered after being mistaken as a monster.
Non-Playable Races/Beastiary
Nameless Kings - Kings of the dead, lords of the howling nights, emperors of the soulless. 15 of them, in fact. Possessing powers over the dead.
Blood Counts - Vampiric creatures who prowls the night, seeking the blood of humans and Other Races. Vulnerable to the sun's rays, fire and silver.
Orcs - Pale-skinned, tall and muscular creatures, orcs are war-like and barbaric. Only the strongest of mankind can face it and left unscathed.
Demons - Corrupted flesh. Simple-minded beasts born from the wretched realm of Secundus - a place where the wicked prowls.
Tho'gal - A hideous monster, deformed. The Tho'gal prowls deep within the sewers of the large cities where the stench smell of wastes are strong.
Gryphon/Griffin - A creature possessing the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion. Gryphons of this RP can breathe fire. Can be found flying across the skies outside major cities.
Ghouls/Khu'ul - Man-eating creature and can only live on human flesh. Prowls stealthily in the dense jungles of Di Na'arkh.

A beauty of ebony skin with hair as black as a raven's wings and violet colored eyes to compliment her soft features.
Personality: Usually the quiet girl, Rave spends her time reading books and playing her flute by the fire. She's not much of a talker unless she's comfortable voicing her opinion around people, so most times she keeps to herself. Though Ravenna is more likely to say something if someone is annoying her, but she tries to be as nice as possible sometimes since she can lose her patience with people making her just walk away rather than lash out then feel bad about it later. Upon meeting people she likes to give people the benefit of the doubt until the person proves to be untrustworthy or a waste of her time which she would do her best to put it lightly even though it might not always come out that way. With Raven, once she warms up to people she becomes easily protective of them. Naturally she is very kind and takes other people into consideration which is why she tends to hold back a bit caring a little too much of what others think of her even though most people wouldn't figure that with her indifferent attitude towards most people.
Abilities: Living surrounded by nature she can sense the things around her to see if there any abnormalities in the forest. It almost feels as if she can talk to animals though it it mostly a sense of what they are feeling. She is also rather good at picking most locks though there have been a few where getting the key would be easier than picking a lock. Ravenna also has cat like reflexes to her dodge and maneuver in difficult situations. She's also a also adaptable and a fast learner when it comes to the magic that runs in her blood.

Healing - Heals herself.
Healing Other - Heals allies.
Healing Hands - Healing Hands heals the target 10 points per second. It will not heal undead, atronachs, or Dwemer animunculi.
Candlelight - Produces a hovering orb of light follows the caster, staying luminous for a few minutes.
Telekinesis - Allows objects to be manipulated and maneuvered without touching them. Grabbed objects may be pulled closer or thrust away as long as she can see it.
Fireball - Casting it shoots a somewhat-fast traveling ball of fire that explodes upon impact and deals fire damage in a fifteen-foot radius. Fireball can set enemies on fire.
Flame Cloak - It surrounds the caster in a wall of fire. If an enemy hits or gets too close to the caster, that enemy is set on fire. It also applies to the caster's melee damage.
Fire Storm - Deals a large amount of damage, hitting closer targets harder than those further away. Fire Storm unleashes an explosion of flames centered at the caster's location, immediately dealing high fire damage to all surrounding foes within range.
Wall of Flames - Deals fire damage to any enemy who passes through it. It costs a great deal of magic to keep this up for long periods of time.
She always up for learning more spells when she come across new ones to put in her book for future reference. It book her mother passed onto her as a child.

Backstory: As a child Ravenna had the ability to learn from various witchbornes in her family growing up on the Island of the Circle like most witchbornes. Being a fast learn she took well to fire and healing magic mostly to help the people she loved dearly though her parents feared that she would be called away to help in the efforts of war when she was of age and so far they were lucky enough to be able to stay with their child. Her parents prepared to hide their child from the Mage Circle having a special home build on the outskirts of the Violet City where they believed their child would be safe. For a while things were going well and Ravenna's parent were able to watch her grow while their fears were ebbed away when several witchbornes were killed in such a short span of time which angered many of her people. They called forth for war against those that kill their fellow witchbornes, a war Ravenna and her family didn't want a part in but most weren't given a choice.
Just before she turned seventeen her parents were taken to join in the cause while one of her aunts helped Ravenna slip away to the home Ravenna's parents got ready for her. She packed what she could and didn't look back with her cat Midnight by her side. Once they arrived her uncle said he would return once he was able to get her parents to stay safely in their new home. Unsure if that was possible Ravenna did her best to hold out for hope when she was left alone, but soon the day became week and the weeks became months then slowly became years. Armed with everything she needed and the knowledge of fighting and magic from her parents Ravenna survived on her own selling some of the things she hunted or forged in the woods in Violet City while often tending to the sick and wounded to make money. The people of Violet City didn't know her name so they regarded her as the Angel of Mercy and Healing which worked out for her since she didn't want to reveal her name so those of the Mage Circle don't try to recruit her like her parents were taken from her. Ravenna wanted to search for them but didn't even know where to look without help, so she remained hopeful that her parents would return to her one day.

You were freely fed, had a nice bed and even your own room. Either you were content with the life that you were living or you had come to accept the fact that this would be it. Just testing and training. That was until the day that an image flashed before your eyes. At first, you dismissed it, but several days later another flew by. Then the headaches began. Before you knew a whole life of blurry images were sliding across your mind’s eye like a picture movie. These four gray, steel walls were not all you ever knew. There was more out there. You might have had a family and friends at some point. People who loved you and cared about you. You were not bound by four dull walls. You had freedom. Suddenly that contentment that had settled in your system wavered until it turned into a full fled need to escape. Whether or not the others would help you escape you did not care. All you knew was that you needed to get out...
Spoiler: More InfoThis roleplay is about the fact that a Government facility has taken your character and wiped their memories of their life before. Unfortunately, what they used to wipe your memory with has faded and/or is not longer working. The reason your character was taken, they had abilities. Whether they were born with them or not this facility was designed to discover the causation of those abilities and see if it can recreate them. The head of this facility is Dr. Valentina Frez Dan. Not much is know about her besides the fact that she is incredibly intelligent and a talented scientist. She is willing to do anything to get her research done.
Spoiler: The FacilityThe facility is like a maze with hallways that appear to be the very same. It has three stories, one being above ground and the other two being under the surface. There are at least two guards at every entrance and exit, cameras, pressure sensors in the vents and reinforced walls. There are several labs, training areas, recreation rooms and bedrooms for the occupants to entertain themselves with. Each room has it's own bathroom attachment for the comfort of the occupants; who's movement are monitored almost 24/7. There is not access to the outside world. No internet. No television. Occupants are allowed to roam freely, but with that comes the responsibility to come when called.

Fears: Complete darkness, losing a loved one or someone she's close to, and small spaces.
History: She grew up like most people that were the only child, raised with love and often spoiled. They weren't exactly rich but were well off and there wasn't much Ravenna would ask for that her parents couldn't provide. Sadly not everyone ends as happy as they start because over time her home which was filled with love turned into a lonely and dark place when pitted against her parents when they would argue. It wasn't until her parents grew to hate each other then go through a rather messy divorce dragging her along with them into a nightmare. When it came time for the custody battle over their only child, Ravenna was brought into a room for questioning her on who was basically the more fit parent she lost it. One minute it was quiet whimpering that turned into a scream of frustration and anguish as tear ran down her face causing the electronics in the building to malfunction and get fried which caused her to pass out. Next thing she knew she was locked up in faculty knowing very little of what happened and even less as to where she is now.
Abilities: Electricity Manipulation - The ability to manipulate electricity. User can create, shape and manipulate electricity.
Electrokinetic Wing Manifestation - The user is able to project their power of electrical energy generation to form wings out of energy and use them from transportation to offensive and defensive purposes such as using them as a shield to block oncoming attacks or slicing/battering the target with electrical energy.
Abilities drawback: Electricity Manipulation - She has a hard time creating electricity on her own so Rave uses electricity from already existing sources. Electricity needs a conductor like metal or water to move through and may be insulated by non-conductive matter such as air. The electricity may be redirected by certain materials which may be limited only to the path of least resistance. Her power may become useless if confronted electrical resistant material or when hit with water which can cause her to short circuit. When low on power Rave must find an electrical source of power in order to recharge, but can put herself or others in danger if she is overloaded with too much electricity in her body at once.
Electrokinetic Wing Manifestation - Contact with Water-based abilities may cause a reaction that shuts off the user's electrical energy wing manifestation and may require electrical energy to keep it stable depending on the mass of the wings.
Other information: She has a crescent moon and star tattoo on her left wrist while she was still being rebellious. Rave also wears a special flora spoon ring and matching bracelet that belonged to her grandmother. She also often wears a chain belt to use as a weapon when needed.

You wake up, blinded by the sun shining prominently in the sky. Once your sights adjust, you find yourself in a field - and around you is only more. Endless fields of corn, of grass, of wheat, stretching out as far as you can see.
And in the distance, on the horizon, you see fire. You see cities burning, entire towns succumbing to the raging flames. This eternal fire has consumed the world.

4. This RP focuses strongly on character development and existentialism. The thirteen hours the characters have will progress throughout the story, and each hour symbolizes a 'chapter'. Every once in a while, I, as the GM, will move the RP on towards the next hour. The intention is that things become more intense between characters as the hours progress, since they don't know what will happen when their time is up.
5. Don't expect much to be explained in this RP. What is explained above is pretty much all you're getting. The characters do not know where they are or why, and therefore, neither do you.
6. A lot is allowed in this RP, so please, be as creative as you possibly can. Literally anything (as long as it is realistic) can be done by a character. There is only one exception; killing another character is not something I would encourage, at least, not in the beginning of the RP (we want to give everyone a fair chance of enjoying it, right?)

Personality: Cecilia is sweet, caring, and optimistic. She is a smart girl that likes helping others and keeping herself busy whether it's with reading, singing, or being with friends. To her friends and family Ceci is dependable, fun, and kind because she'll always be there for the ones she loves by cheering people up with her bubbly personality. She would do anything for her the ones she loves as long as it is in her power to help. Mel is an easy going social butterfly that enjoys practicing her singing, taking care of animals, and cooking. She is a pretty laid back girl, but when something requires her to be she can be serious. Cilia isn't much of a fighter because she rather not hurt others if she can avoid it.
Deepest Secret: She was a kleptomaniac in middle school because she just loved the rush of stealing things, but stopped not wanting to let her parents down.
Short Biography: Cecilia was an only child raised by her wealthy parents having a comfortable life without many worries. Her parents were game designers at a popular gaming company called Capcom which made them rather laid back and open-minded towards life, so it was easy for her to have the same aspects helping her grow as a happy well rounded kid. Ceci's parents support pretty much all her endeavors in hopes of developing her skills and figure out what she wanted to do in life. Besides playing video games, Cilia found she had a knack for tennis that came so nature to her. So much so that her parents believed it was her, "God given talent," or so they say. While in high school, Cecilia participated in her high school's tennis team, joined a few different clubs, and did rather well in school. But when her parents were killed in a drunk driving accident during her senior year of high school things changed dramatically.
Even after dealing with a tragic event in her life Cecilia kept her upbeat personality knowing her parents wouldn't want her to be sad, but to keep living her life. She went off to college with a sports scholarship behind her and the money her parents had left for her which would help take care of her through college and even a little further. Meanwhile she used her looks to make money as a model which caused her to switch to online school so she could travel freely for modeling shoots.

We all thought the world was but simple place, or rather, much simpler than what we've come to know it as. But we couldn't have been more wrong.

One year ago today, in San Francisco California, an epidemic broke out and plagued a handful of it's occupants. It was a dark day that people till this day cringe as it is brought up in conversation, though most will avoid it entirely. For half of the city's population was brutally murdered or nearly mutilated, by creatures of we thought were only in movies and fairy tales. People haunted of the images they believed to be werewolves, vampires, demons. Standing over bodies and tearing through their flesh, or drinking their blood. These creatures went on their murderous rampage throughout the city, then left it littered with bodies and disappeared into the night.
That was when it all started, people started to live in fear from that day on, others in so much disbelief they believed them all mental, half of them being sent to mental institutions believing they were traumatized from the murders. But we would soon come to learn that those things were true, and yet we also had it all wrong.
There had never been an outbreak, instead, a carefully staged plan carried out by the supernatural. The supernatural have wandered this earth and others, for many years, many hiding in plain sight, while others hid underground or off the grid in fears of being discovered. But then, there were those that operated and practiced behind closed doors, doing things we didn't think we needed to worry about.
But the world would never have been ready, till now we don't know the reason they decided to show themselves, to now make themselves known. They say no one is really ready for anything, the world needs to be shown, taught in order to adapt accordingly. But the world was not adapting, instead, the world was fighting back. Organizations of supernatural hunters were formulating around the globe, while others simply operated in small groups on their own, but they existed, and they were just as much of a threat in their own right. Some operated simply for bountys, killing a supernatural or bringing them to the highest bidder, resulted in high rewards. Others capturing them, and using their bodies for their own agenda. Some simply killed for sport, or to rid them from the planet.
When humans started showing up with what could only be called magical powers, however, it created a dilemma of morality among society, the hunters, and the supernatural. It is completely unknown how this happened, no one supernatural nor human seems to have an answer. But humans were so fearful, that hunters began to hunt the average human which happened to possess magic as well. And this is how we were born, Ethereal Academy. But to the public, we simply go by Kosworth Academy.
Supernatural:
All types of supernatural exist, and therefor you can be anything within this roleplay. The only things I will not allow or supernatural with the ability to transform into some other form which is obnoxiously large and unrealistic to be in this city. If you choose a supernatural off this list, you must explain the traits of your supernatural and what they can do, or link to a place that does. You will need to take up the generic traits of these supernatural, no sparkling vampires and anime related supernatural. Note that, supernatural are like normal people when it comes to the kind of people they are, some good, some evil.

Magic:
Both supernatural creatures and humans can possess magic. The humans that possess magic however will have just discovered it and will be either weaker or lack any kind of control at all. Not all supernaturals possess magic, it is actually more uncommon. Supernaturals that possess more than one magic however are extremely rare.
Vessels:
Vessels are humans that have a very large capacity for magic and magical energy, without any actual magical abilities. In the Academy, they are sometimes used in teams (though its uncommon) to gather and hold the magic of their teammates, and give bursts of magic and energy as needed. This has several purposes ranging from teams that are extremely strong their power is nearly uncontainable and destructive, or overwhelms the body when used repetitively, teams that have people that are temperamental and cannot restrain their emotions, therefor causing their magic to run rampant, or strategic teams that share their magic with each other to both last longer and have equally strong members. Vessels are taught to absorb magic and link their bodies with the others, consequently having to absorb any damage they take, and sense their emotions. Humans that are vessels are extremely rare, supernatural cannot be vessels, it is as new of a phenomenon as humans with magic and not completely understood. Without proper gear and their team, vessels are simply normal humans and powerless.
Rankings:
X. Top ranked magical user or supernatural, so much so that this rank is also called the rankless; differently from unranked. These people have mastered their abilities to the fullest extent possible and are very knowledgeable. They are also extremely powerful, and considered dangerous. Most people will never reach this rank no matter how strong they are. It's extremely rare.
1. What is considered the normal top rank magic or supernatural, they have a great understanding of their abilities and are quite knowledgeable, they are considered to be strong-very strong. This rank is uncommon.
2. Magic users or supernatural that have a good grip of their abilities, but lack in experience and knowledge and have a lot of room to grow. Decent in strength.
3. The average magical user or supernatural, still learning their abilities, but seem to understand them somewhat. Not very strong but not weak either.
4. What is considered a weak supernatural or magical user, lacking in many areas.
5. What is considered someone with no control over their abilities in any way, with no knowledge how to use them.
Unranked: Someone that has not been given a rank and/or has not been discovered.
Hunters:
There are all kinds of hunters, but most hunters are normal people, that have chosen to take action for various reasons. There are however, some supernatural or magical hunters, but this is extremely rare (until now supernatural unhunters was unheard of.) They use all kinds of weapons from guns with silver bullets, bows with silver arrows, or other olden time fairy tale weapons towards the supernatural. Others use scientifically created weapons, deadly to both humans and supernatural. Hunters are considered to be above the law, when it comes to the supernatural and magical wielding humans. However, they are treated like everyone else when it comes to committing crimes on "innocent people" (regular humans, or regular crimes).
Organizations:
Though it's widely known that the hunters are after the supernatural and those who are capable of magic, they may just be the least of their worries. Private scientific, and government agencies may be an upcoming threat.
The Academy:
Ethereal Academy was created by Joe Kosworth, in honor of his daughter that was the first human magical user, killed by the hunters. Believing that everything wasn't simply black or white, he wanted to create a place where people like his daughter would not only be safe, but would learn about their abilities and potential, and train to protect not only themselves but others both supernatural and human. The academy has a rigorous program to create nothing short of soldiers, but with the heart and soul of a place of something much different. It is a place that is very warm and inviting, where people aren't looked at as monsters and some are even taught about humanity and morality.
Students are given a ranking upon joining the academy, this is determined by a test they're forced to take. This was created for the teachers and staff to know what they are dealing with and how to teach each person, but also for those with lower rankings to strive to be better. Until they are given the test at enrollment, students are considered unranked. Though the school mainly focuses on physical and magical training, students are given a rigorous home study academic program that they must do at their own pace, but with deadlines.
Teams:
In their first year, students are placed in teams with other students, to participate in simulations, training, group projects, and field work together. They are completely randomized with some regard to rankings, in order to force students to get along with one another and learn team work.
Dorms:
Every student is given a dorm room or an apartment in san francisco or surrounding areas. Dorms may house as much as many as three people, some are coed and some are not. Dorms are comfortable, tidy, and attractive but not overly lavish as to spoil the students. Students that want upgraded luxury rooms are required to work for them either with academics or training (or winning competitions.)

We are all here on our first year, we are the schools guinea pigs, there is only one grade here currently. So basically you would be in a normal high school on the schedule of three classes one day, three the next, and a choice elective two for each day, and your trying to survive and make friends, maybe get on the sports team, become popular, get a boyfriend or girlfriend maybe.
