In a secluded forest far from society stands the campus of Phantasia Academy. Those arriving will have to travel through a dirt road snaking through the dark forest, and will come across a large gate in a imposing wall that seems fit for a castle. Once through the gate, one can see the luxurious buildings that make up the campus. Though there are many shadows around and the campus isn't as bright as one would expect from a academy which claims to provide a peaceful and spirit-free stay for those students who have been affected by the paranormal.

In this world the supernatural events happen often, and there are only few who don't believe in such things, and most of those who claim to not believe only do so out of fear. Even though only few can see them, their effects are apparent. A cup knocked over where there was no wind could be a ghost and a light in a forest could be a wisp. More powerful spirits may have a more profound effect on the physical plane, and for this reason exorcisms aren't too uncommon. Those who have had lots of contact with spirits may develop the ability to see or sense them, or even gain other supernatural abilities. This more commonly happens with younger individuals as they are more prone to the supernatural. Though opinions on the supernatural and those affected by it vary, most view being affected by the supernatural as one might view a disease: something to be pitied, and definitely something that one would want to avoid. Especially since supernatural beings are attracted to those in touch with the spirit plane. It is for these individuals that Phantasia Academy was founded: to give these kids a safe haven where they wouldn't be chased by spirits.

Whether you applied here to find a safe haven from spirits, mistrust, or even pity, or you were sent here by others, you are now a student at Phantasia Academy, and we wish you a nice stay. Remember, students are not allowed off of campus without supervision for safety reasons. The forest isn't safe for the spirit-touched, after all the students attract many spirits. Don't worry however; our barriers and guards will keep any from getting through. Also, please arrive in your uniform, which you will will have already been sent. I'll put some stuff here that people have asked about and I think would be useful for others to know.

• Can all children see spirits
  No. They can usually sense it and some can, but not everyone. Its usually only the spirit touched who can, but some kids might be able to. And some spirits are also powerful enough to let themselves be seen by those who can't normally see them, though those people would usually become spirit touched.
• Do you have to have a supernatual ability
  Of course not. Most spirit touched wouldn't. Well except seeing spirits - that the majority can do. Most people have also had fusing with spirits to gain their abilities, but you can become spirit touched and even develop abilities by being in contact with spirits a lot. That is also far more common than fusing with a spirit. This rp is probably also not gonna focus on powers so its not a big deal if you character doesn't have one (it would probably be nice if we had some people who didn't). Your skills are just as important so I wouldn't just glide over those.
• About the abilities
  Spirit touched abilities would not be as powerful as those of spirits of course, and it takes powerful spirits to have a great direct effect on the physical plane. I'd rather abilities were chosen that were not only beneficial, and that add to the character and/or character development. The abilities should also go with the supernatual theme/setting.
• About spirits
  Not all spirits are ghosts or that which once was alive then died. There's wisps, spirits born of human emotions, and more. It takes powerful spirits to have a great direct effect on the physical plane.

Name: Estelle Nicotera

Appearance: Shes somewhat short at 5'2" and has straight, shoulder length brown hair. Her eyes are a lightish brown. She often wears lighter clothes in pastel colors, and gives of a sense that she's easygoing.

Personality: Lighthearted and easygoing, Estelle has always been a carefree person who went with the flow of things. However her incident affected her a lot and she is a lot less trusting (or so she thinks), and she is more hesitant. She often appears somewhat gloomy nowadays, but tries to appear cheerful. If she's interested in something, she'll give it her all, though she isn't super energetic. She's quick to take others into her friend circles, and is often too kind for her own good. Shes the slightest bit shy, and doesn't share to much often, but it usually doesn't take to much coercing to get her to spill what she's thinking about.

First impression: Most would at first see her to be calm, kind, though somewhat distant.
Likes/dislikes: She likes peace and solace, and enjoys having the company of friends. She likes chocolate but dislikes candy. Among her other dislikes are heat, cold floors, and spooky things.

Backstory: About a year ago, a powerful spirit who went by the name Maxwell came across her, and finding her rather pretty, he put her in a trance so that she would fall in love with him. She spent many months under the trance and in love with him, though keeping it secret from others as he wished. Not that she would break a promise with him; she was under his trance after all. Her parents slowly figured out something was up, and called a priest, thinking that she may have been possessed. After finding out what was actually going on, they were horrified and planned to have the spirit exorcised while she was asleep, as Maxwell seemed to hang around. As the exorcism was occurring however, she woke up and ran in to stop it, still in love under his trance. She was just a moment to late however, and as she jumped in, the fading remains of Maxwell's soul fused with her, giving her her ability to make things cold. With Maxwell done for, she snapped out of the trance he had put her under. For a few days she wouldn't talk to anyone - she was scared and confused, as she then knew that all that time she had been under a trance, and he had controlled her and made her fall in love with him. Though, at the same time shew knew she it had not been her will, she also remembered the love that they had shared while she was under the trance. Having much to think about, she decided to come to Phantasia Academy in order to get away from everybody and get away from the spirits that she could now see, so she could get some time to sort out her feelings.

She stands at 5’4 with a slight build. Her hair is jet black and hangs down to her waist. She has eerily pale skin. Louisa always wears a silver pendant, it hands just below her collarbone. The stone within is a mood stone, that changes with her emotions. She is never seen without it, having discovered it in her belongings that she was sent to the Home with. If she is to adorn her uniform with anything it would be a yellow daffodil, the colour yellow being her favourite.

Personality: A quiet one, she keeps to herself. She prefers to watch, her eyes snapping over you like a hawk. Her wide blue eyes can be off putting. But she feels the need to read people before making contact. Being able to read emotions has left her doubting herself a lot, she will try her best to keep the person she is speaking to happy. She relaxes slightly with those she knows. It takes a lot for her to trust someone entirely, she will always have her doubts of new friends. Louisa is more likely to cower and flinch than flee and scream. Though she will always try to stand by her friends. A neutral expression normally sits atop her face, but when you get her to smile it lights up her face.


First impression: Some may view her as a bit of a bitch at first glance. The scrutinizing gaze and lack of emotion atop her facial expressions, give her a cold demeanour. That is until she reads you, she will change her attitude to you in seconds. If they are upset or cheerful, she will smile and gravitate towards them. If they are angry she will avoid them, not liking confrontation unless it is desperately needed.

Likes/dislikes: She loves the cold, the way it brings goose bumps up on her skin. Therefore she hates the heat, she gets too warm too quickly. It makes her toss and turn in her sleep. She loves music, will always have a pair of headphones on her. Either around her neck or a pair of earbuds in her pocket.

Skills: She can hide very well, and almost in the blink of an eye. She also has the habit of appearing from thin air. Both are not abilities but just things she has learnt from her time in a Home.

Can see spirits: Yes to an extent (Explained in ability)

Supernatural ability (if any): She is able to see emotions through the form of a hue around a person. Colours can determine their inner most emotion no matter how much they hide it. If she reaches out to touch the colour she feels the emotion course through her body. Louise can see spirits through the colour of their emotion, it is just a round blob of solid colour. Sometimes with extremely strong spirits she can hear the words of the spirit if her skin makes contact with their spirit. The basic colours are as follows: (More will be discovered in time)

Backstory: Louisa never knew her parents, she only knew the Home. Placed with other children in a cold house, she grew up under the watchful glare of Miss Anna. The older woman truly hated children, they were too loud, sticky and happy for her liking. Louisa learned through time when to shut up and when to get out of sight.

She cannot remember discovering her power, it was always with her. After confiding in Miss Anna about this strange red glow that surrounded her, Louisa learned that something’s should be kept secret. She could still see the colours surrounding people, she knew what potential foster parents were feeling towards her before they even said a word. This made her cold towards adults, a deep rooted hatred for those who hid their emotions and put on a fake smile just to spare her any pain.

It was on her 16th birthday that the spirit entered the household. No one knew what it was, all they knew was the lighting became sporadic and the house grew colder with each day. Louisa noticed the orange glow on the end bed. The one which was never used.

Each day she would stare at the colour feeling it beckoned her closer. Curiosity got the better of her and she approach the colour late one night. Reaching out her hand, her fingertips passed through the colour and she felt only fear coursing through her veins. Something screamed words in her head, telling her to leave. Her screams awoke Miss Anna and soon after she was forced into therapy. It was through this and Louisa’s distrust of the Home that she was sent to the School.

Name: Galen Sabel
Age: 16

Appearance: He is 5’9” with a slight build. He has smooth black hair framing his oval face, making him look a little delicate. He has silver irises that seem like they glow. They don't.

Personality: Galen is essentially lazy. His incredible lack of motivation causes him to avoid doing work wherever possible. However if he decides to do something, his unwavering determination will drive him to finish what he must to perfection. He is also overwhelmingly cynical but cares for his friends and will protect them if necessary. He is too cynical to be part of a system but too lazy to go against it. He is precariously in the middle ground and usually is an observer or follower rather than directly involved.

First Impression: At first most would see him as a loner and hard to approach. Some may believe him to be a delinquent.
Likes/Dislikes: He like dogs, being with friends and high places. Besides that everything else requires effort, so he doesn't like to do them.
Skills: Avoiding work, Incredible Memory, Martial Arts
Can see spirits: Yes
Supernatural ability: Teleportation with limited additional mass. He must know or see where he is going. The more mass he carries and the farther he goes, the more likely he is to fall unconscious.

Back story: Born with a unique eye color, he was always a subject of fear-inspired discrimination. Along with his impeccable memory, he was highly suspicious. The eyes were a result of a spirit fusing with his fetus before he was born...or so they believe. As a result he could teleport.

His parents are the epitome of average. A middle class working pair who decided to have a child. They were clearly not prepared to have such a unique son but they loved him dearly. They treated him as normally as they could, hoping that if he was treated that way he would be normal. When his powers started manifesting, the stress continued to compound yet his parents persisted.

On one special occasion, one too many spirits were attracted and his mother inexplicably collapsed. Galen, in one of his rare moments of motivation decided to protect his parents. To make sure a situation like this would not occur he decided to put some distance between him and his parents. As a result Galen ended up going to Phantasia Academy

Other: He has a perfect memory which is a result of not wanting to forget things and needing to refer to them again. Once he attends class he never reviews the material or studies for class. He learns it once and that’s enough for him.

Personality: Melanie is....Sorry, where was I? Oh right. Distracted. She kinda seems like she's not living in the same universe as the people around her. She jumps at open air and stares off into space. She has trouble remembering what someone just said to her. It's not that she doesn't care, in fact, she tries very hard to care about people despite finding it hard to figure out what's going on around her. She is earnest and sweet, though worries easily. She doesn't like talking about ghosts and spirits or her own condition, as it has been drilled into her that if she lets others know that she is Spirit Touched they'll think she is a freak.

First impression: Scatterbrained. A bit frazzled and lost. But a closer examination may lead you to realize that she doesn't seem to be looking at you but through you, and if you really focus, some of her seemingly meaningless words may mean something very important indeed.

Likes/dislikes: She loves post-it notes and tries to use them to keep herself organized. She also likes cooking and young children. She dislikes waking up early and taking risks, as well as itchy sweaters and stairs. They're very easy to trip on if the ground you're seeing isn't quite as it should be.

Supernatural ability (if any): Melanie sees the future. And the past. But she doesn't know which or when or why and she can't turn it off. It makes knowing things about her actual time very difficult and gives her pretty bad headaches from seeing multiple realities at once.

Backstory: Melanie's mother passed away when she was a baby, but she never had to grow up without one. The determined and loving woman found a way to stay with her child even after death. But despite her good intentions, Melanie's mother didn't see what she was doing to her little girl. There's a reason children aren't raised by spirits, and there's a reason dead loved ones aren't supposed to come back. Melanie wasn't all there, because half of her was in the spirit realm where her mother could reach her. But a being with one foot in two dimensions is not at home in either. By the time Melanie's father realized what was going on, it was too late to save her developing mind. She was forever split between realities, one that should exist to her and one that existed outside linear time.

Though Melanie's father loved her, and loved his late wife, he knew that if Melanie was spirit touched she'd be discriminated against for the rest of her life. There are many who would not only hate her for her abilities, but possibly seek to use her or even kill her. So he drilled into her that she must keep her spirit side secret from all others. And she loved and trusted him, so she obeyed. He sent her to Phantasia Academy because no matter how much he wanted her by his side, it was the only way to keep her safe and maybe bring her back to normal.

He stand at around 5'11 with a muscular build.

Personality: He's a delinquent and enjoy's mischief, mischief, mischief. He just loves getting in fights and mostly being the ones to start them, but usually he doesn't. Often the problems are caused from old relationships or rivalries. He can be kind and protective to those he likes and see's as friends. However he's pretty hotheaded in the manner that he'll start fights. He's pretty innocent though and doesn't understand too much about a lot of things, he'll tease people and love doing so. He's very annoying to people he decides are worthy enough to follow around and bother. He however even get's scared by some students, not in a fashion of toughness, but overall. He doesn't trust people much and doesn't talk too much in groups.

First impression: He's a dumb delinquent who just starts fights for the heck of it.

Likes/dislikes: He likes candy, food and tv. He dislikes people who don't try enough, people who just watch by as horrible things happen and a lot of foods.

Skills: Very agile and fast. He can do a lot of physical labor.

Can see spirits: Yep

Supernatural ability (if any): He may make his whole body go through things, then go back to a solid form a instant later, and so on. But this is very hard to control, and thus he hasn't really learned it yet. He's trying though and would love to use it as a prank.

Backstory: At a younger age he grew up in a smaller orphanage with a very kind person watching over the children. The enjoyment however did not last. After a short while, the orphanage being in the woods partially. Was stirred with spirits, one particular one who had a beast-like form that would come around ripping and cutting things at night, scaring the children speechless.

He hadn't realized he had this ability until one night the spirit attempted to touch him but as always they went right through. He though this was to be normal? But the spirit itself looked terrified, more so than usual and ran away. He was confused about this and had been more noticing of spirits and similar things more often after the incident. After this the spirit ran There came a time when serving meals to the kids at breakfast where his hand would slip right through the plate and through the tables. It then started to happen randomly. This was a very annoying and confusing state considering he couldn't control it for much of a while. The mother of the orphanage had decided he would have to keep it a secret and seal it, that wasn't enough though. He'd eventually have to be sent to the Academy as well, which is now today.



Other: Although being a delinquent he can hold his ground. Items he may hold before going in the state of going through things can have the same status as him until he lets go. He keeps a small seal under his sleeve that's made out of a special paper, it's stuck to his forearm and is stuck onto him with tape.

Name: Fredrick Watson
Age:18
Sex:Male

Appearance: Stands at about 5'7" tall. Black hair that falls to his brow. Often wears cap and clothes that cover the majority of his body. A thin build. Blue eyes.

Personality: He's analytical and will often stop in middle of a task to muse about something else. He does his best to keep track of all his separate branches of thought, but can often find himself losing one when he has too many. Despite this, he's somewhat timid and jumpy, and prone to striking out in a panic. He's slow to trust people, but fiercely loyal. When he relaxes, he tries to learn new things, either through books or observation. He has a hard time interacting with actual people, though it becomes much easier once he stops worrying about driving them away. He likes to think that people are good at heart, though he wonders whether or not he himself still is.

First impression: Kind of boring and odd, spends a lot of time looking at things and mumbling to himself.

Likes/dislikes: Likes observing things, learning new things, reading, studying, and warm places. Dislikes the cold, people disliking him, bland foods, being idle.

Skills: Logical thinking, being quiet, being able to memorize and recall information.

Supernatural ability (if any): Occasionally sees flashes of the past super imposed over the present.

Backstory: His power didn't manifest until his 10th birthday. Living in an old house gave Fredrick plenty of exposure to spirits. He began to notice furniture that was no longer there and saw people long dead performing tasks among and through the lving. Though telling the past and present apart was never hard, it led to his habit of observation and analysis. He learned quickly to keep his visions to himself.

Personality:
Xander is a massive geek, though he doesn't show that side of himself to people unless he knows them well. He knows a lot about computers, is very familiar with the classic nerdy TV shows and movies, and not very social. He's not the kind of person to seek out friends and if spoken too he will answer in short, rather rushed sentences. However, those people who do get to know him will find him loyal to a fault. Xander doesn't have a lot of friends, so he tends to form very strong bonds with those who choose to befriend him. If one of these friends is threatened Xander will without hesitation leap to their defense. There has not yet been a situation where he has needed to do this, so even he doesn't realize his own potential.

First Impression:
Quiet and shy, the sort of person who actively avoids large groups of people.

Likes/Dislikes:
Xander likes the cold, and he loves snow. He loves machines and computers, and oftentimes feels more comfortable around technology than he does around people. He doesn't like crowds or loud noises, and he suffers from arachnophobia (fear of spiders)

Skills:
If it involves technology, Xander can use it, and if it has a computer he can hack it. He's also got a pretty good throwing arm, though he's never done any sports, and he has really good balance as well, though this hasn't really been tested yet.

Can see spirits: Yes

Supernatural ability:
Xander has the ability to electronic devices, though this ability is very imprecise and can only be used to turn them on and off along with little things like making lights flicker. This ability can be influenced by emotion, which makes electronic devices tend to go haywire around him if he gets angry or stressed.

Backstory:
Xander's life was just about as average as could be. He was born to a set of middle class parents who loved him and each other very much. He was brought up in a residential neighborhood with other kids just like him. He went to school, came home, watched TV, read some books, and kissed his mother good night. It was as perfect and normal a life as could be wished for. Right up until the spirit showed up.

Xander was 14 years old and playing a game on his computer when the wraith showed up. It had decided that it wanted to walk the world again, but it had to possess someone in order to accomplish this. Xander was the unfortunate target, and the wraith flew in through the wall and leapt upon it's unwary victim. In moments it had taken control of Xander's body and all but destroyed his mind. But like many spirits, the wraith was unfamiliar with modern technology and thus didn't know that it shouldn't touch the wires poking out of the cord connecting the computer to the outlet. The energy which raced through Xander's body caused his brain to temporarily cease functioning, which forced the spirit out of his body. When Xander awoke, he discovered that he had a newfound power over electricity, which he didn't understand and couldn't completely control. His parents recognized that he was spirit touched, and they began searching for a way to undo the event, or at least for Xander to control his powers. Recently they heard of a school designed to help people with abilities like Xander's, and they decided to send him there.

Name: Samuel Dale
Age: 17
Sex: Male

Appearance: Samuel has a thin, almost malnourished build, and quite pale skin. His hair is of medium length, is dirty blonde and is a little shaggy as he doesn't take much care of it. He has long bangs of hair which he often use to hide his eyes. The eyes themselves stand out the most, the irises being a bright golden colour. He also has dark rings around his eyes, as his condition has not allowed him to sleep much. Barely having any facial hair growth at all, Samuel has not needed to shave yet despite his age, and his chin is always smooth and hair-free.

Personality: Before all this, Samuel would be described as bright, kind, caring, and creative. He had good grades in most of his classes, and was also starting to become a rising artist. After what had happened to him, however, although he kept all his previous qualities, they were suppressed by his now dominant confusion and distress. He has become somewhat of a loner as he often has a hard time finding peace while not alone, and because his confusion, fear and distress made him somewhat socially handicapped. Still, Sam craves the safety and security he gets from people who understand him, but he is scared to ask it of someone, afraid of being pushed away again.

Due to him craving contact and understanding from people, he would get strongly attached to anyone who would give it to him, and fiercely loyal and protective of them. But while speaking to strangers, Sam acts cautiously and somewhat quietly, afraid to say or do something that might drive them away.

First impression: Somewhat erratic and a loner. He mostly sits quiet and watches. That is until he is struck by a loud noise or by his visions, in which he often curls up in distress, sometimes going as far as yelling out in pain.

Likes/dislikes: Likes quiet, dark and lonely places where he isn't faced with many impressions. Yet he also likes being around people, given that they understand and accept him. He has also kept his love for art, though he mostly draw illustrations of his strange visions nowadays, as it helps him calm down from them. Finally, he has a great love for food of all kinds. Dislikes loud noises, being rejected, and being near spirits, since that is when he usually suffers his visions.

Skills: Drawing, climbing, and most school subjects.

Can see spirits: Yes

Supernatural ability: Being more of a condition rather than an ability, Samuel occasionally experience strange visions, and it happens regularly when in the presence of spirits. Supposed to be visions of the memories of people - living and dead - around him, they are mostly hazes of colours, shapes, and sounds striking at him intensely due to the damage done to his mind from the spirit that attacked him. He cannot make anything of these visions, at least not right now. Now they are simply sources of pain and distress for him.

Backstory: As with many others, Samuel had quite a normal life before all this. He was born to a regular middle-class family with two parents and three sisters - two older and one younger. Aside from the typical sibling quarrels, there never were any real issues within the family. And when he found his love for art, Sam was truly happy. But that all changed one day when he was approached and subsequently possessed by a spirit. The spirit was cruel and angry, and was looking to take out his anger on Samuel rather than use his body, as many other spirits tried to do. The experience was short-lived, but it left its marks on Sam. He became incredibly sensitive to loud noises, his eyes turned a bright golden hue, and he became easily confused, and this confusion scared him. In addition, it also became difficult for him to gain and keep body weight, and he started getting increasingly thinner despite all the food he was eating. His family realized almost immediately that he had not only been touched by a spirit, but outright assaulted by one. Seeing the distress he was experiencing, and the sudden alienation from the people he knew around him, his family became desperate to find some way to help him. After almost two years of searching, they finally found it in the form of Phantasia Academy.

She relaxes slightly with those she knows. It takes a lot for her to trust someone entirely, she will always have her doubts of new friends. Louisa is more likely to cower and flinch than flee and scream. Though she will always try to stand by her friends. A neutral expression normally sits atop her face, but when you get her to smile it lights up her face.


First impression: Some may view her as a bit of a bitch at first glance. The scrutinizing gaze and lack of emotion atop her facial expressions, give her a cold demeanour. That is until she reads you, she will change her attitude to you in seconds. If they are upset or cheerful, she will smile and gravitate towards them. If they are angry she will avoid them, not liking confrontation unless it is desperately needed.

Likes/dislikes: She loves the cold, the way it brings goose bumps up on her skin. Therefore she hates the heat, she gets too warm too quickly. It makes her toss and turn in her sleep. She loves music, will always have a pair of headphones on her. Either around her neck or a pair of earbuds in her pocket.

Skills: She can hide very well, and almost in the blink of an eye. She also has the habit of appearing from thin air. Both are not abilities but just things she has learnt from her time in a Home.

Can see spirits: Yes to an extent (Explained in ability)

Supernatural ability (if any): She is able to see emotions through the form of a hue around a person. Colours can determine their inner most emotion no matter how much they hide it. If she reaches out to touch the colour she feels the emotion course through her body. Louise can see spirits through the colour of their emotion, it is just a round blob of solid colour. Sometimes with extremely strong spirits she can hear the words of the spirit if her skin makes contact with their spirit. The basic colours are as follows: (More will be discovered in time)

• Yellow: Happiness
• Pink: Love/Lust.
• Green: Jealousy.
• Blue: Upset.
• Orange: Fear.
• Red: Anger.

Backstory: Louisa never knew her parents, she only knew the Home. Placed with other children in a cold house, she grew up under the watchful glare of Miss Anna. The older woman truly hated children, they were too loud, sticky and happy for her liking. Louisa learned through time when to shut up and when to get out of sight.

She cannot remember discovering her power, it was always with her. After confiding in Miss Anna about this strange red glow that surrounded her, Louisa learned that something’s should be kept secret. She could still see the colours surrounding people, she knew what potential foster parents were feeling towards her before they even said a word. This made her cold towards adults, a deep rooted hatred for those who hid their emotions and put on a fake smile just to spare her any pain.

It was on her 16th birthday that the spirit entered the household. No one knew what it was, all they knew was the lighting became sporadic and the house grew colder with each day. Louisa noticed the orange glow on the end bed. The one which was never used.

Each day she would stare at the colour feeling it beckoned her closer. Curiosity got the better of her and she approach the colour late one night. Reaching out her hand, her fingertips passed through the colour and she felt only fear coursing through her veins. Something screamed words in her head, telling her to leave. Her screams awoke Miss Anna and soon after she was forced into therapy. It was through this and Louisa’s distrust of the Home that she was sent to the School.

Name: Galen Sabel
Age: 16
Sex: Male

Appearance: He is 5’9” with a slight build. He has smooth black hair framing his oval face, making him look a little delicate. He has silver irises that seem like they glow. They don't.

Personality: Galen is essentially lazy. His incredible lack of motivation causes him to avoid doing work wherever possible. However if he decides to do something, his unwavering determination will drive him to finish what he must to perfection. He is also overwhelmingly cynical but cares for his friends and will protect them if necessary. He is too cynical to be part of a system but too lazy to go against it. He is precariously in the middle ground and usually is an observer or follower rather than directly involved.

First Impression: At first most would see him as a loner and hard to approach. Some may believe him to be a delinquent.
Likes/Dislikes: He like dogs, being with friends and high places. Besides that everything else requires effort, so he doesn't like to do them.
Skills: Avoiding work, Incredible Memory, Martial Arts
Can see spirits: Yes
Supernatural ability: Teleportation with limited additional mass. He must know or see where he is going. The more mass he carries and the farther he goes, the more likely he is to fall unconscious.

Back story: Born with a unique eye color, he was always a subject of fear-inspired discrimination. Along with his impeccable memory, he was highly suspicious. The eyes were a result of a spirit fusing with his fetus before he was born...or so they believe. As a result he could teleport.

His parents are the epitome of average. A middle class working pair who decided to have a child. They were clearly not prepared to have such a unique son but they loved him dearly. They treated him as normally as they could, hoping that if he was treated that way he would be normal. When his powers started manifesting, the stress continued to compound yet his parents persisted.

On one special occasion, one too many spirits were attracted and his mother inexplicably collapsed. Galen, in one of his rare moments of motivation decided to protect his parents. To make sure a situation like this would not occur he decided to put some distance between him and his parents. As a result Galen ended up going to Phantasia Academy

Other: He has a perfect memory which is a result of not wanting to forget things and needing to refer to them again. Once he attends class he never reviews the material or studies for class. He learns it once and that’s enough for him.

Name: Melanie Torin

Personality: Melanie is....Sorry, where was I? Oh right. Distracted. She kinda seems like she's not living in the same universe as the people around her. She jumps at open air and stares off into space. She has trouble remembering what someone just said to her. It's not that she doesn't care, in fact, she tries very hard to care about people despite finding it hard to figure out what's going on around her. She is earnest and sweet, though worries easily. She doesn't like talking about ghosts and spirits or her own condition, as it has been drilled into her that if she lets others know that she is Spirit Touched they'll think she is a freak.

First impression: Scatterbrained. A bit frazzled and lost. But a closer examination may lead you to realize that she doesn't seem to be looking at you but through you, and if you really focus, some of her seemingly meaningless words may mean something very important indeed.

Likes/dislikes: She loves post-it notes and tries to use them to keep herself organized. She also likes cooking and young children. She dislikes waking up early and taking risks, as well as itchy sweaters and stairs. They're very easy to trip on if the ground you're seeing isn't quite as it should be.

Skills: Cooking, foresight

Supernatural ability (if any): Melanie sees the future. And the past. But she doesn't know which or when or why and she can't turn it off. It makes knowing things about her actual time very difficult and gives her pretty bad headaches from seeing multiple realities at once.

Backstory: Melanie's mother passed away when she was a baby, but she never had to grow up without one. The determined and loving woman found a way to stay with her child even after death. But despite her good intentions, Melanie's mother didn't see what she was doing to her little girl. There's a reason children aren't raised by spirits, and there's a reason dead loved ones aren't supposed to come back. Melanie wasn't all there, because half of her was in the spirit realm where her mother could reach her. But a being with one foot in two dimensions is not at home in either. By the time Melanie's father realized what was going on, it was too late to save her developing mind. She was forever split between realities, one that should exist to her and one that existed outside linear time.

Though Melanie's father loved her, and loved his late wife, he knew that if Melanie was spirit touched she'd be discriminated against for the rest of her life. There are many who would not only hate her for her abilities, but possibly seek to use her or even kill her. So he drilled into her that she must keep her spirit side secret from all others. And she loved and trusted him, so she obeyed. He sent her to Phantasia Academy because no matter how much he wanted her by his side, it was the only way to keep her safe and maybe bring her back to normal.

He stand at around 5'11 with a muscular build.

Personality: He's a delinquent and enjoy's mischief, mischief, mischief. He just loves getting in fights and mostly being the ones to start them, but usually he doesn't. Often the problems are caused from old relationships or rivalries. He can be kind and protective to those he likes and see's as friends. However he's pretty hotheaded in the manner that he'll start fights. He's pretty innocent though and doesn't understand too much about a lot of things, he'll tease people and love doing so. He's very annoying to people he decides are worthy enough to follow around and bother. He however even get's scared by some students, not in a fashion of toughness, but overall. He doesn't trust people much and doesn't talk too much in groups.

First impression: He's a dumb delinquent who just starts fights for the heck of it.

Likes/dislikes: He likes candy, food and tv. He dislikes people who don't try enough, people who just watch by as horrible things happen and a lot of foods.

Skills: Very agile and fast. He can do a lot of physical labor.

Can see spirits: Yep

Supernatural ability (if any): He may make his whole body go through things, then go back to a solid form a instant later, and so on. But this is very hard to control, and thus he hasn't really learned it yet. He's trying though and would love to use it as a prank.

Backstory: At a younger age he grew up in a smaller orphanage with a very kind person watching over the children. The enjoyment however did not last. After a short while, the orphanage being in the woods partially. Was stirred with spirits, one particular one who had a beast-like form that would come around ripping and cutting things at night, scaring the children speechless.

He hadn't realized he had this ability until one night the spirit attempted to touch him but as always they went right through. He though this was to be normal? But the spirit itself looked terrified, more so than usual and ran away. He was confused about this and had been more noticing of spirits and similar things more often after the incident. After this the spirit ran There came a time when serving meals to the kids at breakfast where his hand would slip right through the plate and through the tables. It then started to happen randomly. This was a very annoying and confusing state considering he couldn't control it for much of a while. The mother of the orphanage had decided he would have to keep it a secret and seal it, that wasn't enough though. He'd eventually have to be sent to the Academy as well, which is now today.



Other: Although being a delinquent he can hold his ground. Items he may hold before going in the state of going through things can have the same status as him until he lets go. He keeps a small seal under his sleeve that's made out of a special paper, it's stuck to his forearm and is stuck onto him with tape.
