Christopher watched Lily's reaction and just knew that she wasn't all that happy with what he had done. He frowned angrily back at her, and crossed his arms over his chest when Lily stuck that knife into the closet wall. That was not her knife to take! As she walked over to him, the knife in her hand while the other rested on her arm he got angry back right at her. He shook his head, hell no.. he wasn't taking this down. If they wanted him to take those out, they had to take out Lily's as well. How the fuck did they DARE to punish her like this. There were so many other things. He took that knife from her and hurrled it to the other side of the room and walked away from her. She was not having him do this, she better understand that he was suffering as she would be.

    ------------------------------------

Mouse had to admit, she liked playing cards with her friends and Nicklas. She was somewhat saddened to see them leave as Jada and Amare had collected all their children so they could leave this hellish house. So she stayed behind, together with Nicklas as they were talking about nothing interesting at all. Mostly Nicklas wanted to know more about her past, but she herself did not really wanted to talk to him about that. More because she thought he would not be really that interested in who she had been before her sire had changed her into a vampire. So she was glad to see that that Tanaris entered the room, and more so when he stated that something was happening inside the house. Now she could just leave, go to her room and get some sleep. She fully ignored Tanaris as he said hello to her, she even just walked past him to exit the room. Not saying goodbye to Nicklas as she left.

Nicklas just let out a big sigh, he really thought he was getting closer to her. But now that she had left with so much as a single word he started to doubt it. He looked over at his brother and slowly pushed himself up to standing. He could hear the slaves running off, both looking for their masters beside Iuna who they did not trust to speak. "Tell me brother, what do you know?" Nicklas asked him as he ignored his painted brother. He had seen this before, and would not be as taken aback by it quite like the slaves.

The second attempt to scream at him only made her free hand curl up into a fist. She felt the knife be tore from her grip and flung to the opposite side of the room. Her fingers tore through her hair and the noise that floated to him was almost like a muted growl. Her curled fist slammed against the stone wall closest to her. Her eyes boring into him, anger filled every part of her body. This wasn't a joke. This was her punishment and he was trying to act like a fucking martyr. He didn't understand. He couldn't. Sure he would be without her sharp responses for two months, sure he would be without her smile. But she was stuck. She was forbidden from talking. She couldn't scream or shout. Nothing. She could do nothing. Blood trickled down her neck as one of her wounds was not closing properly.

    ------------------------------------
Taranis watched the young woman walk away and then his gaze snapped back to the corridor where the slaves ran. "Someone in this house is terrified. It built like a small fire and roared into life mere minutes ago. Slaves have been running around like a room is alit." He said. If Nicklas had glanced at his brother, it would be like his ears pricked up like a rabbit. His head snapped around and frowned as the faint smell of blood drifted to him. "What on earth has your fledgling done now?" Taranis said dragging his eyes over to Nicklas. "Lily was asleep mere moments ago. Now she has enough rage to tear down Rome running through her veins." He gestured with his head, to get his brother to follow him. "If she gets to a peak, she'll tear down walls." He said lazily, not even stopping to put on more clothing.

    ---------------------------------
Lily's eyes snapped to the knife that rested on the floor now. There. She could get it but she couldn't force him to remove the threads. Her hand slammed into the wall again. "Stop that Lilith." The voice echoed through the corridor. The anger that registered on her face was of pure rage. Her eyes on Christopher again, he had forced that man to join them. She kept her eyes on him and took two steps backwards. Forcing herself out the room but still in sight of Christopher. Taranis could see the blood from here. It stained her pale skin and flittered through the air towards him. "Well. I told you." He said to Nicklas as Lily turned her attention to them. Nicklas would clearly see her wounds now as she glared at both of them. She opened her mouth to tell them, to shout at them, to shout at Christopher. But only pain greeted her. She dragged her hands through her hair and screamed. The threads only straining against her skin and trickles of blood dribbling down her chin. She couldn't even tell them, she was restricted to this and HE CHOSE TO DO THIS TO HIMSELF. She didn't get a choice. This was her punishment. Taranis tapped Nicklas's arm and moved towards the young vampire. His hands raised up towards her, blue stained his fingers and Lily's cheeks were quickly stained with blood and tears.

Taranis moved slowly towards her, treating her like a scared animal. At any moment she could run. She could try to flee and end up in even more trouble. He glanced in the room and rolled his eyes so hard, he feared they would disappear into his skull. "Told you." Lily let Taranis smear blue under her eyes before she folded herself in his arms. Red mixed with the blue on his chest and he held her standing as Lily shook. He sent calm flooding through her body and settled his eyes on Christopher. He shook his head gently as he picked Lily up, cradling her against his chest.

Christopher was about to get into a raging fight with Lily when she left the room and ran into Tanaris. He wanted to tear her out of the mans arms and throw her back into the room. He was not fucking around, he wanted to do everything for her and no matter what he did she got angry!. He wanted to walk out of the room, but as soon as he stepped one foot out into the corridor he was pushed harshly in his chest and flew back into Nicklas his happy little happy place. "Ill sort this one out, you take care of her now" Nicklas said as he cracked his knuckles, preparing himself for teaching his idiot fledgling some manors. Tanaris nodded, as if he wasn't going to help his fledgling. The door closed behind Nicklas as he entered the room. The only thing they could hear right after was the angry booming voice of Nicklas who was giving Christopher trouble.

    .....

They had reached the house safe and sound. Emma still had her arm linked with that of Adrian and was happy to see the house again. They had talked so very little when walking back to the house, instead they had enjoyed their company in silence. Adrian opened the door for her and made a little bow as Emma chuckled and entered the house "You silly" She whispered to him as she kept the cloak tightly closed around her small frame. "W.. We talk now with Iuna, tell her what happen?" she asked Adrian as he himself entered the house.

Lily curled herself tightly into a small ball. A mere moment ago she had been shaking from anger and now it felt like she was floating on a cloud. She rolled her head over and watched Nicklas enter the room. The door closed and she frowned sleepily as a booming voice echoed out to the corridor. Taranis didn't give her a chance to react, he was walking away with her in his arms and heading for Morag's room. Lily turned her head back to his chest and using her free hand, she trailed over the pattern on his chest. She knew these patterns, they were not for death or war. But for good luck and for health. They made her feel calm, happy even. She wanted some, if they were wishing for luck and health. Then she wanted some.

Adrian smirked when she giggled, he loved that sound. "T...Talk to Iuna...n..now." He said and felt all colour leave his face. He locked the door tight behind her and padded along the corridor. Hearing faint shouts and then faint whimpers of pain. His forehead creased, something had happened in this house when they were gone. "Are you sure?" He asked as they turned a corner. At the end of the corridor stood a pale man, blue stained his skin and he held a bundle in his arms. Taranis turned his gaze to his other fledgling and smiled. Nodding his head until Emma came into view. Something was off. Adrian kept a tight grip on Emma's hand and started to walk up towards Taranis. "W..What has happened?" "Stop there." He said bluntly before they got too close.

Even with the blood and paint stinging her nose, she could smell him. It was a stench she would never forget. She turned in Taranis's arms, her mouth still bleeding and her pale eyes wide. All colour had left them and Adrian had an inkling what had happened. But seeing his sister...like this...Like she was a dog that needed to be muzzled. It made him shake with anger, his body getting rapidly warmer with every growing second. "W..What..." Lily's fingers dug into Taranis's arms. "Stay there. I will be back." He moved away and Lily's eyes settled on Emma. Not leaving her as he moved her away. It was startling and a little uncomfortable, akin to the stare of a dead person .

Adrian shuffled forward, his hand off Emma as he had feared he would break her hand with his anger. His hands curled into fists as he watched Taranis shuffle away. "D..Do...Do we need to see Iuna tonight?" His eyes returned to Emma and his jaw tensed like he was grinding his teeth. "Can we wait until morning?" For he knew that being polite to Iuna would not end well if she were to make a silly remark. Before Adrian could get the answer he wished for, Taranis was back. Blood splattered his chest alongside the blue paint. "Where did you get that?" He asked Emma, his finger pointing to her cloak. "It is not Adrian's or yours. Where did you get that cloak?"

Emma knew that it would be a very stressful and frightening conversation with Iuna, but what were they to do? "We wait, she get upset. We keep secret is no good, is bad. We tell now, maybe very scary.. but better than waiting" she told her sweetheart as she brushed her pale fingers through his rough brown beard. Emma nodded when Adrian asked if she was sure that they should talk to the older vampire as soon as possible. "Is better" She told him sweetly before she turned her attention towards Tanaris and Lily. She could tell right away that something was wrong, it looked as if Lily had been fighting against the treads that had sewed her mouth shot. She seemed distressed still, and as she could hear the booming voice of Nicklas roaring through the small room behind one of the doors, she could only guess that Christopher had been an idiot once again.

As Lily's eyes settled on Emma, and Tanaris moved away she did not feel as if this was the good kind of staring. She felt nervous and shied away behind Adrian to seek his protection towards Lily. Tanaris had left them for a short while, this only enhanced the fact that Emma did not feel comfortable around the young woman that kept staring at her. Again Adrian asked about Iuna, and Emma nodded "Be better, I did bad thing. Can not wait til morrow. She say to us; why you not come day before!. She be cross, we not see like care." she told him as she kept her eyes darting between Adrian and Lily who just kept staring... .dear lord woman!

Adrian almost felt sick with the idea to go and see Iuna right now, he wanted to find some good reasons not to though. Bu the just knew that Emma was right. He nodded, only getting as nervous as Emma at that moment when Tanaris returned to them. Emma tugged the cloak tighter around herself, fearing that the older vampire (and elder) would see her blood stained dress. "W.. what?" She asked as he asked where she got that, not really understanding why he was pointing at her or what he meant. Did he just ask Adrian where he got her? Her confusion only grew when he seemed to be interested in the old fur cloak she was wearing. "F.. from man who can be bear. He gave me cloak" She told Tanaris.

Adrian's jaw tensed and he glanced at Emma as she responded. "Maybe I don't care Emma. I don't want that happening to you. I don't want more punishments and more separations." His mouth snapped shut when Taranis returned. "I don't get why that's a problem." Adrian said his arms crossed over his chest as Taranis kept his gaze on Emma. Taranis repeated his question until the girl responded. His forehead creased for a moment and then his angry eyes snapped to Adrian. "The bear man. The man who is like you and can shift." Adrian nodded, still confused why his sire would be so upset about accepting a cloak from another vampire. "I need that cloak." He gestured gently to Emma as she clutched the cloak around her. He sighed and spoke softly. "Darling. Every vampire in this house will be able to smell the blood on your dress. A cloak will not hide it from your sire. Please give me the cloak."

Adrian shook his head for Taranis and scowled at his sire. "Why? It's a cloak. There is nothing wrong with it. She is covering herself with it." Taranis moved his soft smile from Emma to Adrian. Shifting to an angry frown. "You don't know who that man is do you?" His harsh eyes staring into Adrian's. Adrian shook his head, "He said his name was Bredon and I think he is one of Donagh's fledglings." Taranis nodded, "Did no one tell you why Lilith went over the edge this time? Or do you not care for you sister anymore?" Adrian growled gently at his sire, "I care for Lily more than you, you rat bastard." Taranis shook his head gently, "Then you would have noticed the tartan around his fucking wrist and heard his name...You would have gotten Emma as far away from that man as quickly as you could. NOT accepted his cloak." Taranis sighed deeply, letting all anger float from his features. He knew that the pale thing before him didn't like anger. "Emma. May I have that cloak? If not now, then after you have spoken to Iuna?"

    ----------------------------------
Blue stained her skin, her dress had been torn to reveal more skin. Every inch of her was stained with the paint. Morag was fixing the blood dripping from her face and listening to Lily ramble in her mind. She nodded gently over and over again. Derren was crushing and forming more paint. His own frail body was covered in the same marks. Morag looked terrifying. As oldest, she had to. Her white hair was swept away from her face and blue covered her eyes like a mask. Smoke filled the room, herbs had been placed on the fire. Derren was humming and Lily felt like she was home. Her eyes slowly shut and she floated in the smoke.

Emma did not know about the horror that had been Lily's marriage, and had not known that Brendon was her husband in her human life. She did not need anymore information now to get an idea as to who Brendon could have been, and as Tanaris stated that Adrian should have dragged Emma far away from Brendon she knew for certain that he was indeed - as she had felt herself- a bad, bad man. Adrian blocked her path, he kept himself between her and Tanaris as the older vampire wanted that cloak from her. She knew that hiding her blood stained dress under this cloak would not hide the smell, but at least it would hide the sight of the bloodstains. The anger in which Adrian and Tanaris were talking together made her grow nervous, this whole cloak was not worthy of a damn fight.. nor was it worth getting angry over. It held some kind of power, and Tanaris seemed to know that the cloak quite like its owner was no good. "Stop fight, no worth the cloak. Emma know man is bad, Emma felt that he was no good when she first see him. He's evil, hide it under pretty smile and faked good manners. He gave cloak to Emma, Emma took because her blood dress make people nervous. She not think vampire not know about dress.." She took the cloak of and nervously walked up to Tanaris. She could see that he was doing his best to make her feel comfortable, but she did not trust him all that much.. not yet. For a vampire who's fledglings were taken away could be no good.. now could he?

She handed the cloak over to him "bad spirits in cloak, better burn" She told Tanaris with a soft voice as she held the cloak out for him to take. "Brendon, Lily know him. She know he is bad man.. tartan.. her people give away them Tartan to love, when marry" She frowned lightly, her eyes stuck to the floor before she dragged them up to look at Tanaris. "He husband of Lily. He very bad man, she still carry sadness and fear. She always walk with sadness and fear, Emma see that.. Emma very good in seeing bad people, broken people to. She burn cloak, tell bad spirit to go away, to leave her alone. Is good for Lily to do, but not take away sadness.. or fear. Emma feel bad for Lily. She worth of good man, strong man that protect her from bad spirit like the bear-man" she said as she mustered a small smile when she looked at Tanaris.

Taranis raised an eyebrow as the woman stepped forward. He gave her a lazy look and sighed as she started to ramble. He took the coat and his knuckles turned white from his tight grip on it. "I will see what Lily wants to do with it." He said to her with a small nod. "Yes Lily knows him." He said gently before raising an eyebrow. The pale one knew much more than she initially let on. He snapped a glance to Adrian and watched as the young wolf's mouth dropped open. Taranis returned his gaze to Emma and sighed loudly. "It is more than just burning a cloak and waving away a bad spirit Emma. Go see your sire. She will want to know why you are covered in animal blood." Adrian raised his eyes to his old sire and Taranis caught his eye. "Do not intervene. She is with Morag. You can see her in the morning. Take care of Emma and go see Iuna. Do not let your anger get the better of you." The cloak hung from his hand and he gave them both a stern nod before turning. He was gone in seconds, leaving the young couple in the corridor.

Adrian dropped his eyes to the floor again and was like a ball of tension. Like under his skin laid hundreds of tiny springs. "W...We should go see Iuna." He glanced at her without really looking at her and started moving off. Only slowing down when she didn't follow him. "Come on. The faster we get this done with, the faster we can get to sleep." His eyes now following down the corridor towards Iuna's room. He feared having to speak to her, but he was angry. Angry that he met Bredon and didn't know the man. That he thought him friendly, accepted his help and took his clothing when they needed it. He thought the man to be a friend or a potential fellow warrior. But that wasn't the main thing he was annoyed with. He was annoyed that Emma knew much about his home land...and that she had never mentioned it before. She had never said that she knew what the tartan meant. That was not something that anyone knew. It was kept secret from outsiders, Roman's would use it to tear apart families. So they kept it a secret...and she knew.

    ------------------

The calm floating through the room could do nothing to stop the fear from assaulting her senses. Something from her past entered the room. The wounds on her face had been patched up and blue danced over her cheeks. She sat up from her position and waited for Taranis to settle the cloak down before her. Her fingers shook as they hovered over the material. It smelled like him, but that wasn't the problem. This was the cloak she had mended over and over again. The same cloak that she had stitched small x's within the main collar to show her kisses for him. She rested her fingers on the material and felt fear pierce through her. This was the same cloak. She turned it in her fingers and sighed as she knew every stitch. Every small knot in the neckline. The new stitches by the bottom were strange. One set was to fix a small rip. But the others. They were small runes....and her name. Her fingers trailed over the letters again and again. Taranis sat down beside his mother and watched Lily. It took her a few minutes but soon the heavy material sank over her shoulders. She pulled her knees towards her chest and let the material crowd her like a tight hug.

As Tanaris walked away, and Adrian told Emma that they should go and see Iuna, the pail girl started following him. She did not realize at first, but as she followed him and he acted... unlike himself, she knew that something was the matter. She walked a little faster, making sure she was next to him as she took his hand in hers. "What the matter, you alright?" She asked him, her will to please every single human being in the world kicking in. "I did good giving back? or you say no give back.." She asked him as she smiled sweetly towards Adrian.

    .....

Everyone stayed away from Nicklas his room as they could hear his booming voice throughout the entire house. Christopher had sat down, and looked up in shock at his sire. Never had Nicklas roared at him like this, never had he manhandled him and called him all those things. Nicklas was angry, not the kind of anger that would make him break down an entire City.. but angry enough to make Christopher choose wisely.. and keep his mouth shut. Nicklas finally stopped with his rant. He took in a deep breath and stood there silently for a moment as he rested his hands on his hips before taking out a small dagger and held it out for Christopher to take. First he wanted to refuse again, but one look from Nicklas and he stepped forward to take the dagger from him. "you better cut those off, or I'll cut you a whole new hole" Nicklas snarled at him. How could he be so stupid! Thinking that this would help Lily out? Dear lord.. his fledgling truly was an idiot.

He flinched when she took his hand, but he couldn't bring himself to pull his hand out of hers. He glanced at her and used the new leverage on her to tug her along the corridor faster. "Nothing is wrong. You did good by giving it back..Because it would have just been another mark against your name if you didn't." He turned a corridor and sighed deeply, not really wanting to look at her. "It's complicated Emma. But it's of no concern now. We need to see Iuna and then I'm going to bed." He tugged her faster along the corridor until he could see a few slaves running up and down the corridor. His brow furrowed but he continued on their walk along the corridor. "I...I think something has happened."

    .....
She stayed under that coat, refusing to move and growled at Taranis when he tried to remove it. He scowled at her but left her be. She was calm now at least. So he stood and stretched his legs. He would go see his brother and see whether Christopher was without those god awful stitches. Lily needed to be back with Christopher and they needed to talk this through themselves. Morag let the door shimmer back into view as Taranis moved towards it's place within the wall. He was through the door within seconds and started to head back down the corridor following Nicklas's angry shouts. The pale man smiled at slaves who rushed past though they stared back in fear. Blue stained the ends of his fire hair and he looked like a demon. Seran shook his head gently as he noted Taranis coming along the corridor. "Another one hm?" Taranis nodded in response to the ancients question.

Seran watched the fire haired man turn a corner before he started to head towards Morag's room. Taranis stopped before Nicklas's room and waited until the noise got quieter. He chapped the door and waited for permission. When it was gifted to him, he rested against the door frame and watched the occupants of the room. "Well?" Seran reached Morag's room as Taranis entered Nicklas's room. The fire master lit the lanterns down the corridor and Morag knew he was near. The door was revealed again and he filled the room with warmth when he entered. Derren was pouring himself over a book that he had brought with him. He was starting to add notes in it himself. Within seconds, it was like the perfect family situation. Lily was wrapped up against Seran's chest as Morag rested her head on his shoulder. Derren started to read out old poems to the three and shuffled closer. Lily let her eyes close and slowly drifted away into a deep sleep.
