He finished the blade before he left the room, he would not have anyone distract him from his task. But already he felt like Lily had done a pretty darn good job in doing so. He thanked Jarod for warning him and made his way over to Jada's study where Nicklas was waiting for him. His mind kept going back to that kiss between him and Lily, had it not meant anything to her? He had been kissed before, by plenty of whores who wanted him to come upstairs with them. But never like this though, there was something behind it. Despite his anger, his certainty that she was toying with him.. he kept doubting of she even was. He so badly wanted to get angry at her now. Tell her what kind of a bitch she was being for toying around with him. Why could she not just tell him right in his face wat she thought of him? It was not as if he was looking for someone, a special girl to have something with that was different than just having plain old simple sex. He wanted someone to share all those years with.

He opened the door to Jada's study without even knocking once. He just pushed open the door, walked in and sat down as his mind kept going back to that kiss. Maybe if he thought long enough about it he would find that little hint in what she had been doing to him. But there was nothing, god.. why was he so dumb! Why could he not be like her, or Nicklas.. or anyone else that he was surrounded by. Nicklas looked at his Fledgling who was in deep thought and leaned back in his chair. He crossed his arms and wondered when Christopher would notice where he was, and why.

How could he have thought that she was different, that she was someone a good person. Instead she was just like her sire, one that liked to toy around with the minds of others. He remembered how Tanaris had screwed around with his mind, but then again... he had asked for it so no harm done there. But what if Lily was doing the same? What if this was still a test.. was it still a test! Fuck! he wondered how he was doing, was he doing any good.. or bad? He scratched his beard and started mumbling to himself, while Nicklas wondered if his fledgling was broken or not.

Taranis watched the young one come into the study and raised an eyebrow as he just sat down, mumbling to himself. He let his eyes flop to Nicklas and glanced between the two. From Nicklas's confusion he was as clueless about Christopher as Tarnais was. Taranis cleared his throat gently. "Nicklas will tell you about our plans." Tarnais snapped his eyes to Jada, "I need to find Lily. I'll make sure the entrance is locked up tight as well." Jada nodded and Taranis left the room.

Lily was still grumbling, her words tumbling from her lips at high speeds. She turned corner after corner and then ran straight into someones chest. The man chuckled deeply, "Watching your feet there little one?" Lily scowled at him and he raised an eyebrow, "Now now you were the one to walk into me." Lily felt her frown slide away and she sighed, "I'm sorry. I am Lily and you?" The man smirked, "I know who you are Little one. I am Lajos." The man snapped his eyes over her face, "Something has upset you. You cannot allow that now. You must keep your mind clear." The man said, his wise brown eyes twinkling at her.

Lily nodded softly and the man raised her chin up with his fingers. "Chin up. Strength of a lion my dear." He said giving her a small wink before wandering past her down the corridor. Lily was confused, so very confused. But Taranis found her, he scanned her over and gave her a small smile. "Right." Lily snapped her eyes to him and smiled sweetly. "You are staying near the entrance. There will be a few of Jada's fledgling there." Lily wanted to pout but Taranis raised an eyebrow. "You are not fighting this decision. Now come on."

Jada grinned at Christopher, swinging her legs off the desk. "His mind is elsewhere Nicklas. Perhaps something that happened yesterday." She said with a small smirk. She pinged a small grape at his head, "Your mind should be here Christopher. On the now." She said with a gleeful smirk before pouting as Nicklas gave her a frown. "Fine. I'll go find Amare." She said grumpily leaving the two alone.

Christopher caught the grape and chewed on it, showing Jada a big old smile before he turned his attention to Nicklas. Nicklas just shook his head, he did not care for what Jada was talking about. He only needed Christopher to be at his best, that's all he really cared about. "So.. what are we gonna do?" Christopher asked Nicklas. "You are coming with me and Tanaris, we attack from the south." "The others?" "Jada and Amare will come from the northern. We have every single entrance and exit covered" Nicklas told his fledgling. Christopher nodded as he understood, he was to follow his sire. He was nearly gleeful at the idea of slaughtering every single member of the Order. He got to prove himself, showing them that he truly was worthy of becoming one of them.

They discussed the fight to come further, Nicklas explained to Christopher to stay out of his way. Telling him what he was to become as soon as they went through those corridors. He would be like an angry bull in a tight alleyway, nothing would keep standing as long as he kept moving. Christopher had to admit that he was becoming a little big afraid of that thought. He had heard of human berserkers, but Nicklas.. being what he was, able to tap into that creature inside of them all was truly frightening.

They all met up in the center of the house, every single fledgling and many guests that had fled to the house of Jada. Many more already waited near the exits of the tombes. Hoping that they all would get the order to attack. Christopher was nervous but excited, he babbled with Amare who had complimented him over the state that their weapons had been in. Christopher was grateful that the man had trusted him with such a important task. When everyone was ready Jada stepped into the middle of the room. This was her house, and she that as being the oldest there that it was her task to give a small speech.

Lily followed Taranis, her eyes snapping over the men and women who wandered by. He appeared before a group of about 6. Lily felt herself shy back. Taranis smirked at the three men of the group. "You'll be with this group. Do as your groups leader says." Lily nodded gently and then Taranis moved from her view. Her eyebrows shot up as she recognised the man before her. "Hello Lily." Lajos said with a smirk. "I'm your group leader." He said with a small smirk before nodding towards Taranis. Taranis touched her arm softly, "We will both get through this Okay? I will remain strong if you are. Do not let fear into your body. Strength of a lion eh?" He winked to Lajos before leaving her with a small kiss to her forehead.

Lily followed the small group, the three recognizable to the other elders would be Lajos, Norin and Roin. The other three were females from Jada's family, their powers more atuned to nature or the mind. They were all worthy fighters but they would be best set at the back of it all. Lily followed the small group to the corner and rested her back against the wall. She trailed her eyes over the group of peoples and felt her stomach twist. She disliked this, how many of them were excited. She felt someone beside her and snapped her eyes to the pale man. Xiang Yu kept his head partially bowed as he stood beside her. Lajos gave him a small nod and then snapped his eyes back to his mistress.

Jada cleared her throat and raised her hands to gain silence. "My children, my fellow elders, my brethren of blood. Tonight, we fight against one of our greatest enemies. Those who have taken your brothers and sisters from you. Those who forced them to feel the sun while still in the dark. They are cowards and deserve to feel the bite of our weapons." She said as a small murmur of agreement filled the room. "Now. We may meet some friends on the battle field." She said softly, a hush falling amongst the people there. "I tell you now. Unless they attack you, you do not attack them. Yes you may have your hatred for them. But you must not forget who our true enemy is. Those who have failed us will be dealt with in time." She said her eyes momentarily landing on Xiang Yu before snapping back to the others. "Now you have your groups, your assignments. Do not fail them. You will fail to protect yourself and your peers in doing so. For tonight. We rid the world of this order. We show these vile humans why they should fear us. ....Now.....Let's shed some blood."

It was all becoming so real! The fight was very close at hand now, as the doors to the streets opened everyone seemed to know where to go. Within seconds Christopher was on the streets himself, he felt trilled. Finally a battle, something to do what he knew how to. They all moved fast, the entire group splitted up in smaller once, and those would split up themselves further into the city.

The full moon lit up the streets as the vampires moved quickly through them. They had to be fast, making sure that the order would not even know what had hit them. Christopher held his eyes open as he looked around him, the people of Rome had no idea that something was going to happen.

Today the sand of the city of Rome would be salted by the blood of the order. Nicklas stayed close to Christopher, his big frame moving quickly beside his fledgling while Tanaris was close behind. Nicklas had never in a million years thought that would ever fight side by side like this again. Together they truly were a deadly combination. The last time they had fought the Order quite like this was decades ago, when their fledglings were both very much alive and both Tanaris and Nicklas always seemed to smile.

They were at their position within fifteen minutes, everything had to go fast. The entrance to the thombs was eerily quiet, as if nobody was there. Christopher had his hand on the hilt of his sword, he did not trust the silence and felt himself growing nervous. Nicklas looked behind him to Tanaris as he was to guard his back. No matter what happened, Tanaris needed to stay safe and for that he had brought Christopher with him. "Are you two ready?" Nicklas asked. Both Tanaris and Christopher nodded and started following Nicklas into corridors that lead to the tombs underground.

Xiang Yu knew why he was not allowed to be there at the fight. They simply did not trust him. Even if they knew that he had no knowledge of the potion, or the distribution of it to the order. But he would not dare complain. They had kept him alive, provided him a safe place to sleep and even offered him food. As a sign of respect he kept his eyes low for everyone. He knew that he was the lowest ranking vampire at this very moment, that he was even allowed to come was a great honor for him.

Taranis knew this feeling, the deep gut feeling you had before battle. The feeling that you would send many people to their maker and that you might not see another day. He held strong though, having doubtful thoughts would not help him. He snapped his eyes to Nicklas and nodded, the two were fighting together again at last. But Taranis had never wanted this again.

Taranis let the man lead them through the corridors. It was dark and cold. Tarnais kept one hand on his sword raised high, the other trailing along the wet wall of the tunnel. Taranis felt his body fill with hope as one of the previous unseen vampires raised her hands behind him. From her fingertips came long floating tendrils of light. The light bathing them in a warm glow. He knew the woman, she was prized in their people. But she fought with enough grace and rage to be feared even with her wonderful power.

Taranis snapped his eyes to Christopher as the small portion of tunnel they were in lit up enough for them to see into the darkness. The light was of such a high frequency that the humans would not see it until they were on them. The elder smirked at the young man, "Don't touch it." He said as the tendrils of light, danced around the tops of their heads. Just high enough to be out of reach, unless someone jumped for it. "It burns." He said quietly with a smirk as he dropped his body down. Using the new light to scope out some small sections of the tunnel.

    ------------
Lily had watched her sire wander off into the darkness, not knowing if he would return to her. She felt a soft tap on her shoulder as Roin gave her a small smile. He lead her towards the area they would keep safe. Lajos controlled their small group, giving them spots to look after while he roamed between them in lion form. It had surely surprised her seeing the creature but she grew to trust it. She was placed to the left with Xiang Yu and she gave him a small smile. "Don't worry. I know your innocent. The others will come around." She said softly. Trying to ease the man who could feel the tension rife in the air.

He did not understand, why was there nobody to be seen? Nicklas slowed down and passed the small trap crafted out of light. He listened to Tanaris explain it to Christopher and waited for both to pass it before he moved on. "I don't trust this" Nicklas told Tanaris right before they heard a soft giggling. It gave both Nicklas and Christopher goosebumps as they heard it. They younger one stopped and shook his head "spirits.. of the death" he said softly as he looked at both men with big eyes. Tanaris took in a deep breath, if it was indeed the spirits of men and women long gone, they might find themselves in a lot more trouble than they could handle. Nicklas frowned angrily and shook his head. "we cant have them stop us, we need to get rid of the order. We will deal with the death after" he said rather frustrated.

Nicklas moved on, the lack of traps or members of the order made him move around more careful. He did not trust the lack of obstacles they had to overcome. He stopped after a few minutes and sniffed the air ".. blood?" He said, or more so asked as the smell became stronger and stronger as they slowly moved closer to the center of the tombes. "What the hel is going on here?" he asked Tanaris. The giggles returned, this time louder as they could see the light from the center of the tombed lighten up the end of their tunnel. Nicklas send out Christopher, he needed his fledgling to see what was going on in the center. Despite his enormous build, Christopher could move around silently if he had to. The young man did not protest and slowly moved alongside the walls. Making sure not to set off any traps or to be seen by anyone that might have his or her eyes set on the exits. The smell of blood became stronger, his hunger roared inside his chest as his senses became overstimulated by the smell of the crimson liquid.

He saw nobody, he frowned as he nearly crawled over the floor and glanced around a part of the larg center. It took his eyes a second to adjust to all the light, but when he saw it he let out a small gasp. The floor was littered with body's, men and women alike laid slain on the floor. He did not recognize any of them, and by the look of things they had been dead for at least a few hours already. He gestured Tanaris and Nicklas to come closer, while he himself moved to the other side of the tunnel to get a good look of the other side. It was all the same, body's lying scattered around. He did not understand what had happened, was there even going to be a battle? It was then that he saw her, dressed in perfectly white armor that had not a single speck of blood on it. Her blades dripping with the blood of her enemy's while a small boy played with some toys between her feet. "Hoollly... fuuuck" Christopher said as he looked at Xiao Mei, he always saw her in those ridiculous dresses, with sleeves big enough to hide a child in them. She looked very different now. The armor was a tight fit to her body, without being restricting her movements. Her blades, ivory handles with black steel blades. Christopher set a step back and bumped up against Tanaris. "its.. its her" he said "Xiao Mei.. .she's here"

    ------

Xiang Yu was grateful for Lily's words "Thank you Lily, you are to kind" he said gently, he knew that most of these vampires needed time to fully trust him again. But he would not complain, and would be patient with them. For now he would do anything that was asked of him, and make sure that every single person inside the house was to survive an attack if any was ever to come. He had hoped that his skills in combat would have been used where they would be more useful. He had been locked up from any kind of danger for so long that he started to feel like a child.

Taranis hated this, the knot in his chest only getting tighter with each step. But you can't show fear. Fear is for weak hearted souls. His fear only got bigger as the light appeared at the end of the tunnel. The giggles floating to his ears reminded him of a child. The blood hit his nostrils and he couldn't disguise the fear he felt now. His eyes wide as he pressed himself to the wall of the tunnel.

He watched Christopher go forward, the large man moving with some grace. He raised an eyebrow, trusting the mans judgement as he wandered forward. The child was the first thing he saw, it was the movement of the boy. Then it was the steady dripping of blood coming from Xiao Mei's blades. Xiao Mei. She looked like some warrior queen from the east. The child at her feet babbled softly to himself. Taranis felt Christopher bump into him and the man gently pushed him away. "What is she doing? Why is she here?" He asked Nicklas quietly before a slow and steady singular clapping echoed around the tunnel.

Jada kept clapping, her weapon momentarily latched to her side. Jada smirked, though her eyes were cold. She walked through some of the blood soaked people and raised her chin back to Xiao Mei. "I never thought you to be stupid Xiao." She said trailing her eyes down the blades Xiao held. "To run head first into a battle. To go against the wishes of the fellow elders...of the council." Jada said, unlatching her sword. She pushed the nearby corpse over, the man's eyes were burned from his face. "I must give you props. This sort of bloodshed isn't usual for you." She pressed the tip of the weapon into the chest of the man and seemed happy that the man was truly dead. That this wasn't a trap.

"Where did you find the child?" She asked moving her unamused gaze back to Xiao Mei. The small boy babbled and seemed completely unfazed by the blood trickling around him. "Was there something else you were keeping from us." She said moving around Xiao Mei, her weapon still gripped in her hand. "Gentlemen please." She said with a wide sweeping gesture. Taranis took the invitation and moved into the light. His weapon had been placed away, but his hand held the handle tight. He walked closer, his eyes fixed on Xiao Mei trying to read her from afar.

    ------
.Lily beamed at Xiang Yu, "No I'm not. I'm just a little more...in tune than others." She said giving him a small wink. She glanced back down into the tunnel entrance, it was still dark. There were no sounds, nothing. No screams of pain, no swords clashing. Just silence. Lily turned back to him, "What do you think will happen?" She asked but he didn't hear her. His eyes were fixed on the ground, there was that tugging again. Deep in his chest, not only was she his sire, she was also attached to his soul. He could tell when she was near, he felt like he was being pulled towards the tunnel.

Xiao Mei lifted her chin up high as Jada entered. "They were a means to an end. I have no use for them now. No matter what you think of me Jada, I still am loyal to my kind." She simply stated, now that they all knew what was going on she did not need them anymore. Enough vampires had died in the last few weeks to get their numbers back to where the four wanted them to be. "The four had not asked me to take down the order, nor have I gone against their wishes. They have served their purpose" She saw the anger in Jada's eyes, the way she seemed to care so little for what the order had done to so many of their kind. Xiao Mei hoped that within time Jada would understand

The order had to be taken out, that Xiao Mei knew as soon as all her friends had left her. She did not want her friends to lose their lives down here. Not after all that had happened to all of them, she did not need to think to long about what she was going to do next. She needed to strike quick, where the order thought itself to be safe from any vampire attack. She had gone down while the sun was coming up and had slaughtered every single member with the help of the women in green. None of them had stood a chance, they were not ready for a battle quite like the one that had unfolded itself down in the tombs. The women in green had left, making sure that every single trap was gone and that none of the other vampires would see them. They had left the streets and kept the house of Xiao Mei safe from any attack. Might it be the order, or other vampires that wanted her gone.

Nicklas stepped forward as he saw the small boy. He needed little explanation as to who the child was. Xiao Mei stepped away from the child and place her weapons away, showing all of them that she did not wish to fight with them. "He is the child of Lucia, Nicklas had promised him to be safe. I am merely making sure that Nicklas is to keep his promise to this woman" Xiao Mei said as Nicklas slowly walked over to her. "How.. how did you do this?" Nicklas asked her as he kept a distance between her and himself. That she could be deadly when she wanted he knew. But was as Jada said, it was very unlike Xiao Mei to fight, if she could prevend it from happening she always would. "There is no need to explain how Nicklas. Lucia is still at my house, she is ready to leave as soon as soon as you have brought her child to her. She is provided with coin, fresh clothing, and will be leaving Rome at first light" Xiao Mei told him.

    ------

"It is very quiet down there" Xiang Yu said as he looked down into the tunnel as well. They had not heard a sound, it was as if nothing was going on down there. The longer he stared into the darkness, the stronger the feeling became that someone was down there, that something was pulling at his heartstrings and telling him to come, to walk into the darkness and run as fast as he could. He did not even notice that he stepped forward, walking to the entrance of the dark tunnel that seemed to call out his name. "Xiao Mei" he said softly as he stopped, his heart pounding in his chest telling him to go to her.

He was gone before they even knew it. As soon as he had stepped into the darkness he could not be seen, as if the shadow had swallowed him hole. He truly was invisible for their eye, only the once that would hunt with their noses or hearing, and not with their sight would be able to follow Xiang Yu down the tunnel. He ran as fast as he could, dodging the ray's of light that came from the ceiling and passed the view vampires that waited down further into the tunnels. The only thing they notice was a small push in their back. They saw or heard nothing as Xiang Yu ran towards her, towards the woman he loved with his entire soul.

Jada cared little for Xiao Mei's excuses, instead she wandered around the room. She made sure Xiao Mei would still see her but the child was blocked from viewing her. "Your loyalty is shown in odd ways." She said harshly, digging the tip of her blade through the neck of a corpse. She kept driving it down until it hit the concrete underneath. "Oh how kind of you to make sure the four were happy." She said anger flashing before her eyes.

Jada snapped her eyes to Nicklas and glared that he was acting so surprised. That he would let this act get the better of him. "It matters not how she did this. Take the child Nicklas." Jada said pulling her blade out of the soft flesh. She heard the footsteps and rested a hand on her hip. "For the god's sake." She said as Xiang Yu burst through their line.

    ------

Lily snapped her eyes around, following his gaze. It was strange and she disliked it. She watched him take a step forward and she frowned. She heard a name and then he was gone. Shit...Shit...."L....Lajos." She said before doing as her mind told her. She ran. Well as fast as she could. She heard the crashing footsteps of others behind her.

But she kept going. Stupid man running off into the darkness. She knew he had nothing to do with their brethren murder...yet his running off would only spike suspicion. She had to go, give him someone on his side. "S..Stop...you have to stop." She called out through the tunnel for the man to stop. She was momentarily blinded by the lights floating around them. She stumbled forward, missing her footing gently and then felt two large animals pass her.

As Xiang Yu broke past the small line, Taranis was confused. Where in gods name had he come from. Before Taranis could move forward to stop him, a lion and cheetah ran past him. The two creatures stopping when Jada raised her hand. The two creatures merely started to stalk around the room, their large dark eyes swiveling over Xiao Mei. They would not attack, no matter how much they wanted to, without Jada's say.

Lily kept running and would have passed through the line of men had Taranis not gripped her dress yanking her backwards He had heard her call out and knew she was coming down at a slower rate. Taranis wrapped his arms tight around her at that moment. Lily's eyes went wide at the scene before her, the bloody bodies, Xiao Mei, the death that stank up the room. But nothing held her attention more than that little boy. She felt herself straining against Taranis. Her whole body wanting to cradle the child, make him laugh, making him smile. Taranis kept firm, holding her still even though her fingernails dug into the mans arms.
