Once your senses return to you, the loud blaring sound of a alarm matched with red flashing lights take your eyes and ears. A sense of foreboding washes over you once you look out a nearby window. The sight you see is that of stars and a planet below with a massive black void, as well as a massive object floating not far away launching lights at the object you stand within, matched by explosions that rock your surroundings and cause people to scream in pain, confusion, and fear.

Within this ship you appear within, bodies lay on the floor, doors are constantly opening and closing on their own while others don't close due to their doors being broken off or lodged in the door way. Various debris litter the area around you. Parts of the ship lay upon those dead, while random explosions within cause flames to appear out of nowhere, catching any unlucky soul that happened to be there on fire.

A massive explosion comes from the rear of the ship causing all on board to fall or stumble into a wall or similar surface. Seconds after, the sounding alarm fades away and soon a voice booms overhead stating "We're going down. Repeat, We're going down. Everyone make it to a li....-static-" Thou the ship you appear in seems lost, the ship just outside is still firing away with no mercy, as if they want the ship you are in to be nothing but scrap.

The screams of people and the loud sounds of explosions shook awake to see a scene of which she had never experienced. Strange lights came from outside that were met with large explosions that threatened to rip apart the ship she was in. Even it was curious itself as when she looked outside it was floating! If her life was not in danger the large Golem would have stared out into the stars and the planet below and appreciated its beauty. Instead, however, the strange lights and explosions kept coming, one so large that it shook her off of her feet and into several people.

The whole situation seemed bizarre. She had hoped that by defeating her last opponent she would be back with her Thaig but no such thing happened. Instead Shale was thrust into a floating ship that was on the verge of being shot down by an unknown enemy. However, it seemed her luck was about to change. A man dressed in all black was across the corridor from her. Another opponent, another insect to crush.

"We're going down. Repeat, We're going down. Everyone make it to a li...."

Even though the news from who she surmised was the captain seemed bleak, it instead gave hope to Shale. After dealing with this man there also seemed to be some way of escape, though the captain never explained what it was. Though she was sure that by following the throng of panicked Humans she would find it eventually.

Picking up a piece of debris that fell from the ceiling Shale molded it into a crude sphere. It wasn't perfect, but it would work. Looking at her target she chuckled to herself. "It seems as if your gods want you dead as well, just like that six-armed woman." Tossing the metal ball in her hand once she threw the object at her opponent, certain it would it. "Good bye, little man."

Default They Know My Name, They Know My Call

First a monk, bathed in the white fires of the Fallen's fury. He raised his arm and the flames rose higher, consuming the halfling as he came within inches of striking the enchanter. His teeth grit in anger, the flames becoming too bright to discern a thing.

Then, a throne room. Nothing was clear, nothing but the mighty chair and the figures in the vision. Nothing but disgust. Disappointment. Hatred. His differences, his changes, they were not pleasing to the crowned being. No matter what was spoken, blurred fragments that didn't form into cohesive ideas for Emonalach's ethereal ears, there was nothing that could change his mind. And so he fell, his flawless wings, previously paralleled by no other seraph, burning and fractured.

    Betrayal.

Emonalach's eyes snapped open, his senses quickly harvesting his new environment. The mechanical husk that encompassed them was enveloped in the vast, expansive nothingness of space inhabited only by the other craft. Said craft was not friendly, according to the incessant rumbling and cataclysmic state of their own ship. Scents of fire, death, and chaos tickled his nostrils.

Yet beyond the blaring of klaxons, Emonalach's mind lingered on the vision. He couldn't identify the contents, but what he felt from the memories told him more than names could ever give him. Whoever sat upon that throne has wronged me. He put me in this place. I'm here because of him and him alone. There was only one possible reason for those memories to have existed.

    Betrayal.

But I need to know more.

A sudden shaking of the hull pulled Emonalach back to the reality of his new battleground as the force of the foreign impact slammed him into the adjacent wall. With a gentle curse from his lips, he pushed himself back to his feet, feeling surprisingly rejuvenated from his previous engagement. These gods are not without humor, so it seems. They would see an even match against each of my opponents. The operator's announcement echoed from the intercom, signifying their imminent demise. Despite his claim that they were descending, the enchanter found that his balance and center of gravity remained stable. Perhaps a fabrial of some sort to provide artificial gravity. But how long will that last?

His attention was then diverted to a hulking being of stone and jewel that stared threateningly at him, and he knew by the same mystical knowledge that boiled his bloodlust that this was his new opponent. He frowned at her taunting comments, focusing upon the "six-armed woman." Was that this creature's previous opponent? Could it be that there were others like Emonalach simultaneously participating in this vile game? If an enemy has fallen to each of our hands...could it be a tournament?

But enough contemplation of purpose. The bloodlust, the thirst for further knowledge of his past, roared in his chest with an undying hunger, and he would not disappoint it.

As the cluster of debris thrown by the golem careened towards Emonalach, crushing two fallen crew members in the process, a knowing smile danced upon his lips. "Oh, so you're intelligent enough to speak, are you?" Pivoting upon his foot, he vanished from the golem's sight, appearing in the hallway opposite of his previous one. He was not within immediate sight for the time being, leaving several burning corners and malfunctioning doorways between the two of them. Close contact was certainly not in his favor during this engagement, and physical harm to the beast seemed unlikely. Even the binding of their souls was not in Emonalach's favor. It had no skin to damage, and harm done to him by the golem would most likely result in instantaneous death with no use for parallels of pain.

But this new stage had many, many things to offer him. First, he had to find the captain.

Glancing at a nearby map upon the wall and quickly identifying his own position, Emonalach traced several routes to the bridge. Perfect. He broke into a run down the hallway away from the golem's position, following his mental path to victory.

Even mountains fall in time, golem.

Running over to the dust cloud the huge boulder made, the giant creature was more than surprised to see the man had all but vanished. Looking around Shale only caught a small glimpse of him running down the hallway. And so the hunt begins. The entire ship was not unlike a maze, all winding and breaking off into different directions. There would be almost no doubt that the man would use his greater speed and smaller size to just outrun the golem, but then there would be no fear of harm. Not that the man could even put a dent in her, of course.

Following after her opponent she ran as fast as she could after him, the crystals on her back scraping against the ceiling and passengers jumping out of her way. If he was going to run then Shale would keep making him run. Prey always tired out eventually.

"I thought this to be a fight! And here I thought there was to be strength found among humans, but obviously I was wrong. Then again, it is one's natural reaction to run from things that would kill them!" Chuckling to herself, she continued. "I wonder just how long you have left. You see, cat and mouse games usually have the cat winning."

The situation reminded her of a memory that had only recently come back to her. An argument with someone whom she thought was her commander. Shale had definitely been chasing someone, and older gentleman who had still retained the handsomeness of his youth.

Yet that was the last time in her memory that Shale felt like she was going to break, like there was something she couldn't do. But after that she became this machine of war. No longer did she feel pain or exhaustion. Hunting this man is just like before, except now there were no limitation of what she could do. If she had caught the man from before when she was at her breaking point, then there was nothing save the gods that could stop her from defeating the enemy that was running from her.

Rocks erode, mountains crumble. But there has never been a golem to fall.

Default The Baying Of My Rotted Bones

The golem's thundering from down the hallway was to be expected. Escaping unnoticed from the monolithic gemstone was not a likely fortune, after all. Stealth was not Emonalach's specialty, but nor was it his intention. Such an enormous creature as the golem could not possibly navigate the sharp twists and turns of the confined hallways without resistance, and despite the enchanter’s towering height, he remained far ahead of the belligerent beast. In fact, it seemed that his smaller stature let him slip further and further away as they ran, ascending floor-by-floor of the spacial carrier. Barreling stone could only do so much against strengthened steel, after all.

Emonalach, however, was not constructed for physical exertion and endurance. The Fallen was hardly concerned with corporeal interaction before, but such negligence was not beneficial. Stamina trickled away as his breathing became more and more jagged, his heart rate accelerating to an uncomfortable pace. He stumbled over a stiff leg emerging from a pile of twisted, broken steel, his dwindling energy chipping at his sense of balance. Exhaustion was not extremely imminent, but it was on the horizon. Retreat was a limited option, and he was uncertain of whether the beast’s bodily tenacity outstripped his. The thunderous footsteps far behind seemed to present a convincing case.

Mock me as you will, golem, but I will break you in the end.

Fortunately, the enchanter’s destination was near. As he clambered to his feet and skidded the final corner, his eyes locked upon the open doors of the command bridge. Inside, crew members tapped at complicated holograms that painted their skin with a blue hue. The cacophony of fluttering electrical lights was almost dazzling amongst the failing systems of the ship, but Emonalach did not let that halt him. Bursting into the circular chamber and causing heads to turn frantically, he put on a serious yet frantic face. It wasn’t very difficult with his wheezing breaths puffing so earnestly from his lungs, and he made his way into the center towards whom he assumed to be the captain. It seemed that no one had expected such a bizarrely dressed man of Emonalach's height to enter, so the captain was the first to rise from his station. Before he had time to speak, the enchanter’s words exploded from his mouth.

“Wait, j…just listen,” Emonalach gasped from drying lips with a feigned naïve, frightened voice much higher than he would usually speak with. “I don’t have time to explain, but there’s a giant golem crashing down those halls. If you don’t trust me, you can hear it.” He paused for a moment, pretending (and truthfully) catching his breath while giving them a moment to listen to it’s footsteps. “That thing will destroy this ship before anyone can escape if we don’t stop it.” He looked at the captain, convincing concern blooming into his customarily cold grey eyes. "I can help you get rid of it, but you need to close the doors to this bridge, and you have less than thirty seconds to do it.”

The Fallen knew that if the captain abided by his demand, the doors would probably be able to hold the golem at bay for as long as he needed them to. He did not have a proper gauge of its strength or the steel’s resistance, but if they didn’t hold, then perhaps the crew could distract it long enough. They were expendable, serving as pawns to throw in the way of the harrowing queen. Humans were overwhelmingly superfluous as is; but The Fallen, extraordinary.

And if the captain disregarded the careening cluster of rock tumbling into his premises? Well, there were always other ways to dispose of amassed, unwanted dirt.

(sorry for the delay, you will now continue all the way to the 5th post each of you (you both needs to post 3 more times), without another interaction. If Necro won't log I will judge the battle)

As the ship keeps on being smacked around by the other ship not to far off, a feeling of directional pull is felt throughout the ship as it starts to head towards the planet it hovers over. To make things worse, a enormously large explosion happens onboard that sends everything flying around cause other smaller explosions, some not that big and others big enough to fry a living person. The massive explosion just previously mentioned seemed to be a rather significant one as the lights on board the ship seem to flicker on and off until they aren't on anymore and the only thing that is lighting up the surroundings on the ship is the back up lights, but most of them are either knocked out due to the various blasts and small explosions, or due to the lack of power on the ship, making it hard to see anything at all.

Suddenly, the debris that litters the ship, along with the dead start to float off the ships floor and sort of hover. The ships gravity core has been knocked out, meaning there is no longer any gravity on the ship to keep you to the floor. More screams and shouts can be heard throughout the ship but the voices are starting to dwindle as the ship is filled with the recently deceased.

As Shale reached the closed door to the captain's room she could feel herself grow even more and more frustrated. First this man had the audacity to run from a fight, and now he hides behind a door. "You are truly a coward!" Raising her fist she threw fist after fist, punch after punch at the locked steel door. It would take some time, but the metal would eventually buckle under her strength. "Your life is forfeit, come out and face your inevitable death!" This act of cowardice further strengthened her opinion of humans. They were all afraid of death, that they are not able to overcome it. Shale's Thaig would have faced the very fires of hell even if victory seemed unreachable. Perhaps it was too much to ask for a challenge.

In a few seconds Shale's feet left the floor, though she had only floated a good half inch before her head hit the ceiling. This was followed by a massive explosion that once again threatened to tear the ship apart. Whatever she was to do, it had to be quick, though the man inside was also under pressure. "Tell me, how long do you think you can last in your metal prison?" Putting a hand to the ceiling to push herself to the ground, Shale kept pounding on the door relentlessly.

Default A Lungless Corpse Of Piercing Groans

The captain had seemed to oblige, for after a moment of quick deliberation, he waved his hand to an attendant and the door closed. Emonalach released a thankful sigh of relief, while on the inside he cackled with delight. The golem's relentless pounding and shouting on the other side of the ironclad door accentuated his pleasure, but his expression and tone remained fearful. "You see? This thing is ready to k--"

Down became up. G-forces became intolerable. Guts were filled with the sensation of falling. Every member of the crew, along with the enchanter, slammed immediately upon the ceiling, as if some great poltergeist had seized them in its grasp. Many hit head first--Emonalach included--but while others died from broken necks or split skulls, he escaped with what he concluded could be nothing less than considerable head trauma. His vision swam dizzily as blood dropped into his eyes from a laceration on his cranium, and he was able to discern a ball of fire erupting nearby, incinerating three crew members and severely burning his arm. Charred skin and flesh greeted his eyes once cleared of blood, and the limb was unable to move. He was not extraordinarily concerned with such injuries, for he gauged that at the conclusion of this battle, he would once again be restored like he was from the previous one. Nonetheless, curses triggered by inconvenience--but not pain, of course--rang through his skull as his gaze focused once again...only to be stolen away again by a loss of power.

Power that had previously kept the bridge's door shut.

As the gravity core's destabilization was overwhelmed by the pull of the planet below, Emonalach felt himself drift from the ceiling of the bridge, along with whatever living or dead bodies remained intact. The dull blue glimmer of the remaining backup lights illuminated the door, which was now only held close by whatever density it withheld. The Fallen could tell that it was only moments before it would open from the golem's pounding, and that certainly didn't thrill him. He didn't have time to initiate his original strategy, not with the other ship's disruptive bombardments.

    Ah...the other ship.

A redeeming, devious smile crept across Emonalach's lips as his concern for the crew's role vanquished. They were no longer necessary for his achievement, and their fates were already decided. Instead, he navigated himself towards the enormous glass window that so proudly displayed the celestial heavens and their deathly decent, placing his body between the breaking door and the glass viewpoint by pushing off of the ceiling and landing on the wide window. The glass was undoubtedly some of the strongest this world had to offer, but the enchanter hoped that the previous concussive blasts had at least damaged it.

With his heart beating frantically in his chest, Emonalach balanced himself against the window using his operational arm, yet his pulse didn't flutter from fear. Something about his engagements, both this one and the previous with the halfling, set a passionate flame deep in his chest, rousing a roaring beast of great ferocity. His purpose was to kill these unfortunate fools in the name of some great deity above, simply to let him climb to the top and cast them from their thrones. But...could it be that he was actually enjoying these skirmishes?

The golem's fists upon the door cut through the chaos like a hot knife, returning the Fallen from his contemplations. "Come then, golem. Show me your wrath that I so justly deserve!" Only a little longer, and I can erase you from the future's script.
