Hahaha Shui picking fights and Yolen trying to stop them. I can see it happening. She'll also be intrigued once she sees Shui bending more than one element, realizing she's the Avatar. I can see Shui being all confused and then Yolen explaining to her what it all means.

And I could see Yolen going into a swamp or something. It's an isolated location and one she could potentially go to for meditation and such.

aye. that'll definitely happen. And once she starts liking Yolen, she'll be willing to defend her from anything that comes their way.
"Socially retarded" is a good way to describe her. Not antisocial, doesn't necessarily hate people; just hasn't been around them enough. she's a fairly nice person all in all.

And as far as meditation and spirituality goes, Shui's actually got some pretty good spiritual attunement of her own, so if Yolen goes out to meditate or something, she might be surprised to see the wild-child joining her. xD

Well if Shui was to be protective I wouldn't say Yolen is useless in combat. She is an Airbending master, after all. She just doesn't like to use it for combative purposes. Obviously, Shui is more direct in those sorts of things.

So swamp it is I suppose. It's isolated and is somewhere Yolen would be likely to be.

well, she's kind of just protective anyways. Aye, not to say that Yolen is helpless, but Shui's logic would be "I like to fight, she doesn't like to fight, so I'll fight for her", or that sort of thing.
She thinks on a very basic and very practical level. That may or may not change depending on how things go, haha.

hmm... we should probably decide or start brainstorming some sort of antagonistic faction against the Avatar. Maybe there's a correlation of why/how the last avatar disappeared, and maybe the motive behind Shui's parents leaving her for whatever reason(s) they did.

doesn't have to be a particular nation, and obviously isn't something like the Red Lotus, and so we might be able to make something up. spies, assassins, a sort of secret guild or something, I'm not sure haha. just throwing ideas out.

Wow, didn't see this until now. I've been kind of...non-existent the past few days. It's Thanksgiving weekend, so...

Anyway, we do need something so we should start thinking of something. Also, expect a post from me possibly tomorrow sometime.

that's fine. I'll probably be similar during American Thanksgiving period too. haha

aye. luckily we don't need it right away, but we could definitely do with some antagonistic characters as well as some good and neutral characters.
Obviously some of Shui's "goals" are to master the elements and become more properly 'integrated' into human culture, but at the same time if she learns of something Yolen wishes to do/dreams of doing, she would not be afraid to go out of her way to try and help her reach her goals.
