    Default 『R』 【Timelords and the Whimsical】『IC』

⋘It was a fine summer's day here in the Britain of 2027. Birds were singing, insects were creaking, and a gentleman's wife was expressing her courtly attitude towards the finest of persons outside in the foreign landscapes of Ireland. Funny thing really, no one seemed to notice the odd commodities that kept cropping up every now and again. Spotting dignified persons, just beyond the land of the Salisbury Cathedral, amassing in formal greetings would deter any common fellow who so happened to spot these dignified persons. These persons, who were of political status, stepped into the cathedral and spoke of a religious event partaking here that the entire country should come and witness. The Prime Minister, who was against such a thing at first, even decided that it was best for him to attend this event as it seemed to cool his head after recent geopolitical upheavals causing his head to rattle a pubescent rattle. There, at the cathedral, high quality individuals spoke amongst themselves as they awaited the start of this event. Here is where our story begins.⋙

The Spire at the Edge of the Field

Kelgar, The Engineer, was already there at the event. He was hiding amongst the dozens of other politicians that wanted to use this event as a means of easing the inner political struggles that have taken place over the past few months. Kelger, hiding amongst these fanciful individuals, sought one thing and one thing only -- to find and destroy the threat that had landed on Earth.

Kelgar, before arriving here on this planet in this time period, received an ominous tip from an unknown assailant who called itself, "Nero." Kelger was, obviously, worried that this tip was a fluke, but seeing the fleets in mass and seeing the different pattern strokes in politics in the United Kingdom only made it prevalent to Kelgar that he find the foreign entities here in the United Kingdom or else something terrible might rear it's ugly, yet strangely appraising, head.

Returning to what Kelgar had in mind, he was quietly moving through the crowd. He was looking for someone, but was unsure on whether or not this person was actually here. That person, of whom Kelgar was looking for, was the Prime Minister -- Prime Minister Bartholomew Huddersfield to be specific. He needed to find Prime Minister Huddersfield, and warn him of the impending threat. But, any great Timelord would understand that they can't really meddle with political affairs without a proper cause. Kelgar, to the best of his knowledge, was doing the right thing by alarming the Prime Minister about faulty humans living among him. Kelgar ignored the rule of "stay out of sight and don't get killed" more times than he could count. Really, it's a mystery how well Kelgar has managed to solve problems through both aggressive and passive means.

However now was not the time to be contemplating methods on how to solve this issue. He needed to this be done immediately, but even with that he would come to realize that a few others--of the Gallifreyan blood--would come here as well receiving the same bit of information.

The professor felt terribly out of place. At first, she decided that she wanted to hide amongst the fancy bureaucrats, but seeing the dismal state of her wardrobe she decided against it. After purchasing a cheap outfit--a simple white button-up shirt and a black tailcoat--she went to the event blending in with the serving staff.

She was traveling across the galaxy trying to outrun a pair of angry starships when she got the message. It was cryptic, and came from a man named "Nero". He spoke of a threat to Earth in the early 21st century, and she couldn't ignore that in good conscience. She parked her Tardis and got herself onto the serving staff that attended to the Prime Minister.

Unknown to the Professor, other Timelords and ladies would be arriving as well. This was bound to get complicated.

"My Henry, is growing so big…already walking the nannie says…do you have any children of your own?” The aristocrat woman asked as she sipped on her glass of wine, and for a moment Mega wanted to laugh as she thought to herself about the woman drowning in it due to her turned up nose.

"No unfortunately,” Mega said a smile coming to her face as she shrugged. “Never found the right guy,” she adds and watches as the woman nodded. “Or the right woman…” Mega continues before trying her hardest to hide the smile behind her glass as the old bitty almost strangles on her glass. “Now if you’ll excuse me,” with soft smile she moved away from the back and started to head toward the front of the slowly growing crowd.

The whole evening was not exactly what she was looking forward to. Dressed like a barely disguised harlot just too cozy up to a wretched, egotistical, filthy, and far to handsy group of old men. In fact she was off to have dinner in Rome with a very sexy Roman named Regulus who just happened to be a wealth member of the senate. She had already typed in the coordinance, when something strange happened.

She received a message from someone named Nero, a message that she was quickly wishing she had ignored, but no matter how much she tried to act like she didn’t care about the fate of Earth she could ignore the threat. So here she was in the crowd richly decorated cathedral, surrounded by all the guests wearing a variety of today's dazzling fashions to show their status like badges, and everyone seemed to be equipped with a sparkling glass in hand and some already rosy cheeked.

She was relived slightly by the fact some already had a few glass, it would make it easier to distract the people around her. After all, she was a woman and knew her way around a man's desires as despicable as the notion was. But the one thing she didn’t plan for was other Timelords coming to join in with the festivity.
