    Please excuse the dust.

    This set contains my character bios from across the 'verse.
    Some may be current.
    Others from games that have closed.
    A few may have been reused.



    These are not necessarily in any sort of order.



    And due to a change of hosting policy at the site I was formerly using for pictures,
    many of the picture links do not work. A few have been shifted to other sites.

    Jun'Kai - Scrapyard Dogs: The Spacepocolypse - 3/31/16

    Age: 47 Terran

    Gender: Male

    Race: Sen'ta (a.k.a. "Quaddies" or "Helmet-heads") - humanoid with multiple apendages - two massively muscled over-arms with three-fingered hands suitable for heavy lifting and grappeling, two smaller under-arms with five fingers for delicate work, and an elongated lower body resembling a goat with four hooved legs and a flexible spine that allows them to swivel their torso almost completely around. Their faces are human-like, two eyes, flattened nose and pointed ears, but heavy brows and cheek bones, giving their eyes a sunken-in appearance, as if they were wearing a helmet.

    Appearance: Navy-blue with a black mohawk, graying slightly, 6 foot 2 inch height, 237 pounds, well-muscled build. IMPF Prison ID lasered on left cheek. Usually dressed in olive drab overalls with black boots and tan work gloves. Favors a dark brown leather bomber jacket on liberty.

    Personality: Jun'Kai is more comfortable around machines than people; when he has to talk to them, he comes across as blunt and gruff. Humans he finds especially troubling as they are so fragile - his upper arms and three finger hands are very strong, using them could easily break bones, so he tries to keep his distance, sometimes appearing skittish. If, however, the situation requires it, he will use his child-like lower hands. However, in a fist fight, he is a tank, causing massive destruction.

    Backstory: Junior engineer aboard the ill-fated Comet Galaxy, one of the Summer's Family ships. After a successful collection, they got intercepted by a IMPF Patrol Boat and ordered to stand inspection. The boarding party hustled everyone into the cargo bay while the junior officer in charge "inspected" their cargo and pronounced it contraband. But when the captain stepped forward to tender the expected bribe, the boarding party officer tried to step back and lost his footing, falling to the deck.

    Spooked, the boarding party opened fire on the crew. The survivors were arrested and later found guilty of piracy - including the children, sentenced to 15 years hard labor in the Diego Orbital Prison - disassembling wreckage and reclaiming usable components. The two surviving engineers, Jun'Kai and Hank Summers wound up sharing a cell with Hank's young daughter, Cait, who was still shocked from seeing her mother being shot down in the cargo hold.

    Barely a year later, while her father was checking out a possible escape route, he was killed - his death was classified as an "industrial accident". When the guards came for Cait, Jun'Kai pronounced her to be his adopted daughter and under his care. The guards decided not to press it.

    Six years later, a new warden arrived at the prison. Stating concern for all these children among the prisoners, he ordered complete medical examinations for the women and children. They were all sterilized. A few didn't return - including Cait. The prison seethed for a week before exploding into riot. Jun'Kai led the raid on the Warden's Office, to find the Warden dead, strangled by a bruised and battered Cait.

    IMPF ships responding to the prison alert, before opening fire on the station, reported seeing the Warden's ship racing away.

    Since then, Jun'Kai and Cait kept mostly to the rim, working on independent ships and hoping to avoid any Spacepocolypic run-ins with the IMPF.

    Modifications: Jun'Kai has a "Second Brain" installed at the base of his spine, a shielded digital archive of ebooks, manuals, music, and entertainment that he can access at will. It also records everything he experiences.

    Weaponry: Tachikoma - 7.62x51mm light machine gun in the right arm; 50mm grenade launcher "snout"; cutting torch in the left arm; liquid wire turrets for grappling, rapelling or restraining.

    Other Items: Belt tool kit (flashlight, EOD multitool, mini-pry bar, diagnostic tablet), orange zippo lighter.

    Other Info: Prefers bar stools and narrow saddle-like chairs.

    Caitlyn Ivonova Summers a.k.a. "Raven" - Scrapyard Dogs: The Spacepocolypse - 3/31/16

    Gender: Female

    Race: Human

    Appearance: 4' 9" tall, lean wiry build, dark hair in a crew cut short, grey eyes. Likes non-restrictive clothing - body suits, dresses. IMPF prison id tattooed on her cheek. Hers has an "X" added at the end. Sometimes mistaken for a child because she's short.

    Personality: Because of her short height, she's often mistaken for a child - which she uses to her advantage, hiding her bloodlust until she's closed in and about to strike. Prison has made her hard and self-reliant, but she has a hidden soft-spot for small children and underdogs. Those who try to abuse that weakness don't live very long.

    Backstory: Survivor of the Comet Galaxy massacre, Cait was imprisoned with her father and his assistant, the alien Jun'Kai, who adopted her after his death. Prison was hard - a spacepocalypse - rations were lean. She learned to scrounge and to pick locks, but most of her earnings went to others more desperate, extra rations filling the empty bellies of growing children, though she was still a child herself. With the lean rations, she barely grew.

    When a new warden demanded checkups for the women and children, she reluctantly complied. After being scanned, she was given a "vitamin" shot that knocked her out. She awoke to find herself in a clean bed in a strange room - one of the new Warden's harem - other teens like herself - and like them, she had been 'silenced' - vocal cords cut, so they couldn't talk. It was supposed to make her feel 'helpless' - instead it made her angry.

    As servants of the Warden, they were privy to all of his meetings, so they were aware of the unrest growing in the prison blocks. When the riots happened, they were ready to strike. While the others held him in his chair, she used the silk sheets from his bed to strangle him. When Jun'Kai and the other prisoners broke through, she was already working on the locks to his private ship.

    Since escaping, they've been working together on the edge of known space, away from the garden worlds preferred by the IMPF.

    Modifications: Reinforced skeleton - nanites have carved channels into her bones then filled them with surgical titanium. Enhanced reflexes allows her to react faster - but it quickly tires her. Enhanced strength - synthetic muscle fibers interlaced with her own muscle gives her twice her natural strength.

    TRS Appearance: A lightweight armored suit, combined with her enhancements and smaller size allows her an advantage in all but a level plain.

    Augmentations: Implant Communicator - short-ranged encrypted communications device, allows send/receive audio, user can subvocalize to use. Favorite of undercover operatives and actors.

    Voice Box Implant - allows the user to adjust their vocal range and mimic another person's voice. She can also do ventriloquism. Additional circuits adds a subsonic wave that causes anyone who hears her to relax, be more attentive and agreeable. Favorite of actors, con men, and politicians.

    Computer Implant - A small computer is implanted into a skull socket, controlled by a direct neural interface and hooked to the user's audio and visual nerves, allowing them to hear and see data from the computer. Can be used to display files or access a database, and for "speed reading" allowing the user to flip through a document, scanning the pages, although the user has to later read the information at their normal speed. Useful for scripts. She also uses the computer to interface with flight controls, giving her a faster reaction time.

    Personality: Reserved in public, bit of a pessimist. Can tend towards sarcasm and irrevelant humor. Not easily shocked, she's seen a lot of men leaving her mother's bedroom.

    Background: Born the only child of Irina Bakhvalovna, father unknown. (Father denied paternity, Irina never pressed suit.) Mother was a former actress turned college professor of the arts, also known for her interest in dog breeding (only sporatically).

    Questions as to why her skin was darker than her mother's and about her father went unanswered.

    Starred in her first diaper commercial when she was three months old.

    At five, she started ballet lessons. At six, started piano lessons. At seven, tap dancing. At eight, violin and voice training. School plays could depend on Irina showing up with a professional photographer and camera man. And every day was lessons in acting.

    For her sixteenth birthday, her mother took her to get her ears pierced - instead, they wound up at a doctors office. When she woke up she discovered her ears had been pierced, her tubes tied, and new implants in her head instead of her chest - a subdermal communicator, voicebox augmentation, and a computer. Her mother had a new interest - her future career as an actress. She also received a sonic stinger, a concealed stunner, her mother warning her as she became more known, she may have a need to protect herself.

    In college, she was accepted into the Theatrical Arts program but when it came to her electives, she chose Karate (years of dance lessons proved helpful here) and flight training - being the furthest thing she could get from her mother.

    College also opened her eyes to the world outside of acting - especially politics and O.U.T. She fell into a crowd of radicals, protesting O.U.T. - mother warning her of course while it was expected to participate in protests in college, one shouldn't do anything rash that might harm her future career. She rebelled, stealing a ship with her friends and never looking back.

    Accepted into a shady crew after selling the stolen ship, one of the experienced hands taught her how to fight and throw a knife, as well as shoot a gun.

    Anything Special: She hates dry-brushing her hair, needs to use a spray to soften it first.
    While she's an excellent dancer, she is not particularly fond of doing ballet.
    Hates being called "Princess".
    Her augmentations were geared towards a career in acting, not her current profession.

    Nisroc (EA-7) - It's All in the Genes - 1/24/2011

    Actual Age: 18
    Perceived Age: 18
    Gender: Female
    Special Traits: Wings (flight) and Heighten Vision (20/2 - Eagle eyes)
    Personality: "Ice Queen" is the nicest thing she's called behind her back. Reprisals from early escape attempts have made her cold and very untrusting.


    Physical Description: Tiny slender blond with close-cropped hair, 4' 10" tall, weighing 71 pounds, with gold eyes and white wings that span 9 feet across. The number 7 is tattooed on her right shoulder. Wears a modded flight suit when training in the wind tunnel with a Snoopy-style leather flight helmet and goggles with a throat-mike. Otherwise orange surgical scrubs, a modded hoodie and cheap flipflops to protect the floor from her claws.


    Anything Special: Hands and feet have sharp claws and a strong grip, allowing her to grip tree branches, hunt and fight. Her bones are hollow, like a bird's, so she's actually more fragile than normal humans.


    ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND :
    Extracts from the Notes of Dr. Ernst Freedman


    Age 0 months - Subject EA-7, successful Human/Eagle chimera decanted. Female, 17.59 inches, 3.82 lbs, wing span 5.25 inches. Despite the low birth weight, appears to be healthy. Ultrasound confirm her wings have a complete muscle and skeletal structure.


    Age 6 months - subject EA-7 crawls and perch on the edge of her crib flapping her wings to strengthen them. She looks like a cherub in the paintings from the old masters. I have decided to name her Nisroc, after the Angel of Freedom, also known as the "Great Eagle".


    Age 1 year - subject Nisroc can fly short distances up to seven feet. Staff concerned about her lightweight and hollow (thus more fragile) bones, so I've ordered that a weighted belt to keep her on the ground except for supervised flying time. Her eyesight appears to be extremely sharp.


    Age 3 years - subject Nisroc had a tantrum and struck out at her caregiver, inflicting severe scratches. Nisroc's claws were blunted but I gave orders to have her hands wrapped in leather mittens to prevent injury to herself or others except when supervised. Eyesight tests have proven her vision is incredibly sharp, 20/2 - she can see something at 20 feet that an ordinary person can only see if they were just two feet away.


    Age 9 years - due to insufficient facility space, subject Nisroc was taken to a secured hanger to better evaluate her flight abilities. In the middle of the assessment, a side door was opened by a security guard. Nisroc immediately dove for the door but was unable to avoid the guard. Both were knocked outside where the guard managed to keep hold of her, despite some gashes from the girl's claws. Her right wing radius suffered a green-stick fracture in the collision. Nisroc was restrained and covered with a blanket before being brought back to the facility for treatment.


    Age 11 years - Nisroc has been very restless, constantly striving to escape. I had hoped flight time in the new wind tunnel would calm her, but she quickly returned to her escape attempts. I have instructed she be blindfolded and mittened while being transferred to and from her cell.


    Age 13 years - The wind tunnel has increased Nisroc's wing strength but she needs air time outside. To prevent her escape, we have fitted her with a sturdy leather belt that locks onto her, with a wire cable to keep her tethered. This will allow her some freedom of flight and prevent escape.


    Age 14 years - Nisroc escaped temporarily when her tether cable unexpected snapped. During her short free flight she was unexpected buzzed by a curious Cessna pilot and attempted to escape by diving for some trees on the edge a farm 1.5 miles from the secured site. Guards following her transponder found her stuck in a tree where the broken cable had gotten snared. Her left wing ulna was bruised, several feathers damaged and her right side scraped raw, but she was otherwise unharmed. I have temporarily suspended Nisroc's outside flights while reviewing this debacle and further directed her wrists restrained at all times while she is outside of her cell except during flying time and regular maintenance on her tether cable.

    Commander Sara Taylor, Engineer - Dyson's Sphere - 1/8/2011


    characters awakening : As the orderly guided her float chair down the bright white hospital corridor, people would pause to stare at her, whispering. A few stood. Two marines saluted as she went past. She simply sat, unmoving. The chair stopped at a type II light duty pocket door. The orderly pressed the announce stud under the name plate.


    "Commander Taylor, sir."
    "Very well. Bring her in."
    The door slid open within tolerance and the chair drifted inside, stopping in front of a desk as the door hissed closed unseen behind her. The doctor in hospital whites glanced at her but continued to type on a data pad. The orderly cleared his throat.
    "This may take some time," the doctor said without looking up. "I will summon you when it's time to take her back to her room."
    "Lieutenant, Commander...."
    "This is a hospital, Petty Officer Davis!" the doctor interrupted, shooting him an angry look. "Commander Taylor is a patient. Please go attend to your duties."
    "Aye, aye, sir!" Davis scowled, coming briefly to attention before pivoting on his heel and walked out.
    The doctor stared sourly as the door hissed shut behind the orderly, then turned his attention to her.


    "I am Doctor-lieutenant Brown, at your service. Do you know your name?"
    "Yes."


    "What is your name?" he asked when she did not go further.
    "Taylor, Sara. Lieutenant Commander, Service number 58-774...."
    "How old are you?"
    "34," she replied. The doctor glanced at the lined, worn face on the screen and compared it to the child-like waif she was now. With the Riker's limited supplies, the regen unit had been set to regress her.
    "Do you remember what happened to you?"
    Sara frowned.


    "USS Riker?" he prompted.
    "USS Riker, DDX 1004, Jane Class..."
    "Do you remember the Gorg attack at Alpha Centauri, while you were directing repairs on board the transport liner Michael Jackson?"
    "Yes."

    The doctor sighed and punched some keys on the data pad. "Do you remembering cobbling together an antimatter bomb, then taking it yourself to plant on the hull of the Gorg ship while it was fighting the Riker?"
    "Yes."
    "Why did you do that?"
    "I... I do not understand the question?" she frowned.

    "Did someone order you to do that?"
    "No."
    "Then why did you go out there to plant the bomb?"
    "The Gorg was between the Michael Jackson and the Riker and focused on destroying it. I was convinced I could plant the anti-matter charge on the Gorg's hull without them noticing."

    "Explain why you exploded the bomb while you were in blast range?" he asked, looking up.
    "A Gorg Defense pod was turning in my direction. I assumed they had heard me connecting to their hull and were trying to shoot me. I had the only trigger."
    "I see," he hummed to himself, his two forefingers tapping on the pad's smudged keyboard. "Your EMU took the blunt of the blast but it still managed to burn off the arms and legs off your EVA suit. Your actions saved civilian lives and your ship. Do you remember any of that?"

    Sara frowned, staring at the dirty data pad. She flashed an order to the Synth point but it was locked.

    "The Regen unit on the Riker was damaged. Minds need stimulation during a long regeneration but they could only rig up a maintenance core as a stim module. Were you aware of this?"

    An memory flashed through her mind; waking up to an argument between blurry figures, her left eye bandaged, trying to rub her eye only to find she had two bandaged-wrapped stubby stumps for arms. The cold that flowed into her veins from her PDS implant.

    "No"
    "You were still in deep regen when the Riker docked. It was decided to put you in extended cycle, monitored by Eve when you arrived. They also promoted you to full Commander and awarded you the Medal of Honor."

    She stared back blandly. Regen units offered a chryostasis mode for severe cases. The data pad he held was very grimy along the edges. She mentally ordered the Synth point to do a diagnostic check and reboot. It responded.

    "When you were revived, nurses found you servicing the Regen unit. Do you know why you were doing this?"
    "Regen units are to be serviced within 72 hours so they may be available for other patients...."
    "Why do you think it was your job to start servicing the unit?"
    "I was there," Sara replied matter-of-factly, turning to stare at the now online Synth point.

    There was a ding and a cleaning wand appeared.

    "That was locked!" Lieutenant Brown yelled, stunned as she took out the tool. "How did you do that?"
    "I ordered the Synth point into a diagnostic cycle," Sara told him absently, reaching over to take the data pad from him.
    "Give that back..!" he demanded, snatching at the unit. She swung it, impacting a corner on his temple, then brought it down hard with both hands on the back of his skull. He collapsed face down with a moan, blood dripping onto the desk.

    She ignored him, using her tunic to wipe the splattered blood off the case then leaned over with the wand to begin a thorough cleaning as mandated by the maintenance manual in her head.


    history: Cmdr Sara Taylor trained as a Ship's Engineer and was very good at her job before spending a thousand years with service manuals trickling through her mind while her body was regenerating from the blast and radiation damage her PerDefSys was unable to fully protect her from.

    HISTORY: Scout-Kvartermester Toril Syv Arnadatter, a veteran of two tours sent to fight other people's wars. Assigned to a scouting unit, it was their mission to penetrate behind enemy lines to bring back useful information. Caught in an enemy ambush, Toril was the only survivor, returned months later as part of a ransom negotiation. She kept herself separate, away from her sisters, refusing the Joining. It was noticed and commented on.

    The Mor called Toril into a conference, then afterward approved Toril's petition for "Ørn Flytur." Needing volunteers for EDO liason, Scout-Kvartermester Toril Syv Arnadatter was assigned.

    Preferred - Humanoid Fem, blonde, blue eyed, 135 cm, 37 kg, age 9.
    Natural - a liquid metal octopus approximately 1 m in height.

    Role and Rank (if any): Scout


    Personal Equipment: Surrogate Chamber - nanite maintenance and repair module for Scouts.


    Character Strengths: Nanite construction allows it to assume differnent forms, within limits of its mass. Can camoflauge itself to blend into the environment. Strikes can cause it to splash or be punched through, but it would "heal" itself almost immediately. Not affected by vacuum.


    Character Weaknesses: Nanites become inert if separated from the golf-ball sized processor core. Nanites are affected by high heat and extreme cold. Detectable by dogs. Iona is also very curious.


    What they hope to find: Wonder.


    What they hope to achieve in the New Galaxy: New life and worlds beyond the existance of the Sentinax.


    Bio: Seekers are Epsilon class miners, a processing core inside a liquid metal nanite "body" that extracts veins of ores by converting the metals into more nanites, then shedding the excess for processing. In this role were used limitedly against combatant ships, but once it was realized they could freeze or burn the Seekers, crews were able to stop them.


    Scouts were a new form of Seeker, taking advantage of new liquid metal color-changing nanites (not needed for mining) to mimic objects, animals, and humanoid life to collect intelligence and performing acts of sabotage, requiring a Gamma class processor.


    Scouting a village as a local dog, Iona was noticed by a lonely girl, Sarah. At first shying away from the girl, Iona allowed herself to take tidbits left by Sarah, but keeping away from any adults who came near or other dogs. She soon determined that Sarah was newly arrived and still settling into the pecking order of the children. Both parents were working on the Lyran base, so eventually she would let Sarah sneak her into the house at night, hiding until the parents had put her to bed before joining her for bedtime cuddles - all the while listening to her parents and studying her.


    When she was ready, Iona stretched herself and reformed to be a duplicate of Sarah. It was easy enough in dog form to steal Sarah id, forcing her parents to get a new one for their daughter, and Iona could appear at the base gate with Sarah's stolen ID and appearance, saying she needed to run "errands" for her "parents". Until the day Iona ran into Sarah on the base looking for her lost dog - and Sarah screamed at her doppelganger. And screamed again when Iona turned back into a dog and ran off.


    Following the war, it became noticeable that Iona continued to take non-Sentinax forms, especially of Sarah. It was decided to let Iona join the mission to explore the new galaxy.
