The demon was drinking an awful lot, even for her kind, and Sam thought maybe he ought to stop her, to warn her of this poisonous liquid, but he couldn't. Looking into her stormy eyes, Sam understood that, more than anything, Deiliha needed this night. She needed a night of freedom, of caution thrown to the wind, and the alcohol would help that. He brushed his fingers along her skin, wondering just how much he could help, too.

The way his name fell from her lips made light tingles go through his body. She stared at him with beautiful eyes and an expression that was all too alluring. Sam was too distracted to see the kiss coming, but when her lips met his he kissed back, shyly at first, until the demon pulled away. Sam looked up at her, a question on his lips, an invitation to come back. She spoke, and Sam leaned into her, letting her words fall directly into his ear. He then looked up at her and pulled her back to him, giving her a series of long, passionate kisses.

She was different. This wasn't the demon Sam had met so long ago. Perhaps the alcohol was clouding his judgment, or perhaps it was something else, but Sam couldn't help but think this woman looked... human. The fire in her eyes was dying down, the venom in her voice, and left in her place was a woman in love. That sent a blush to his cheeks. He should have been thinking of all the ways he could take advantage of this, of her, but instead, Sam busied himself with thinking of all the ways he could show her he felt the same way.

Brave hands moved to Deiliha's hips, then lower, cupping her ass. He poured himself into his kiss and let his hands wander her body. The courage came from the alcohol, undoubtedly, and Sam didn't think to stop himself. Deiliha wanted this; all of her body language screamed with desire. And in the moment, he knew he wanted this too, wanted this release, wanted her. "Deiliha," he murmured ever so softly, "why don't we go to your bed?"

The fire that consumed her was anything but holy, she had wanted this man for months now living in close quarters denying herself the one thing she craved. She once had been worried about what it would do to the angel to taint himself with her darkness but now nothing flowed through her mind but the fire and passion falling from her lips. When she had paused and he came back to her everything around her vanished and she couldn't seem to get close enough to him. When his hands slid down her body it left a trail of flames dancing against her ever warming skin. The man was an angel and his touch lord help her filled her full of light and desire she had only once felt as a human and she sunk in deeper. Her fingers tangled with his hair and for a moment she had no clue what he mummered about but when he shifted to move towards her room she knew this night was just getting started and the thought brought redness to her cheeks and a darkness of lust to her eyes as she fallowed all to willingly.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Time skip: The next morning
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The light danced across her face warming her skin and she merely groaned cursing herself for not pulling the curtains back into place the night before. Now the sun assaulted her senses but so did something else. Taking in a deep inhale heat rushed over her, memories of the night before dancing through her mind leaving the warmth of memory. She enjoy the angel and his touch and when she shifted ever so slightly she found him still in bed with her. A warm sigh escaped her as she flicked her wrist the curtains drawing shut leaving her back into darkness. curling up next to the angel she let out a small exhale before closing her eyes and allowing her mind to drift into darkness. She hadn't slept in so long she couldn't even remember if the calming darkness should have been dangerous or nothing more then the slumber most had sunken into.

She hadn't wanted to break the warm fantasy and curling up next to Sam felt so warm and right that she could do nothing but drift away once more. perfectly content to stay here with him for as long as he would stay in bed. After all once he woke up he might not be as happy as she found herself and that itself was a thought she needed to erase before it happened and destroyed the light she felt cracking through the darkness of her tainted soul. After all good things come to a end and with her it was only a matter of time. The devil was coming for her and she could feel it in the depths of her soul. She hadn't told same but the king had set a date to take her away for there wedding and in the letter it said he would offer Sam the help he wanted but he would be sending another demon to take care of it. She had done her part and in the next month she would be wed to the devil himself. A nightmare to add to the day she had today, she had to find out why they had been robbed and it needed to be done before the devil himself came for her.

The thought left a pain in her chest that made it hard to breath leaving a man she had found to deeply desire, they had spent so long living this lie of a life and now with him so close she never felt farther away from him and that alone made her want to run away but where would she go? and how on earth would it be safe for her and him. There was only one answer and it didn't include her, after all he had a goal and she wasn't a key piece of the puzzle but merely a blank space just filling in.

Sam stirred when he heard Deiliha move out of bed. He didn't open his eyes, but his fingers absently danced at where her frame had been. His lips parted as if he were about to say something, but he was ultimately too tired, too in need of sleeping off the alcohol and this glow, that he drifted back to sleep before he could utter a single word.

He did awake a couple hours later to find Deiliha curled up next to him. For a few moments he didn't understand, but as the memories of the night came back to him, Sam was suddenly hit with a rush of emotion. They had gotten drunk, or at the very least tipsy, and they had done that. Sam turned away from Deiliha, concentrating instead on the dark curtains hiding the sun. His first time had been drunk and with a demon. How pathetic was he? No, he thought, not a demon. Deiliha had been human last night, through and through.

He was surprised at how decently he performed, all things told. Angels had no need for things like sex, so his only experience with the taboo act had been through biology textbooks at the Academy. However, he couldn't have been that bad, not judging from Deiliha's reactions. That brought a smile to his face. Maybe he wasn't all bad after all; at least he could do that right.

Sam sat up in bed and stretched his shoulders. He looked around the room, wishing Deiliha didn't keep it so dark so that he might be able to guess at the time of day. A headache drummed quietly against his skull, the result of too much alcohol the night before. He nudged Deiliha softly and cooed her name. "Time to get up," he sang.

A thought suddenly occurred to him, and Sam subtly backed away from her. What if Deiliha saw last night as something else? She was perhaps more drunk than he was; had he taken advantage of her? Dear god--had he raped her? If Adainmelhye could see him now--murderer and rapist. Just how far had he fallen? Stricken, Sam watched and waited for her reaction.

Deiliha had drifted back to sleep without really even noticing and when the man next to her moved her arm instinctively slid across his waist her fingers trailing softly and slowly the movement thick with sleep. Her name was a warm coo from his lips and for a moment she mummered incoherent things while pulling herself closer to him her dark lashes fluttering moments before they lifted the crimson with rolling wave of light blue creating a violet storm in her eyes as she looked up at Sam a light smile playing on her lips as she mummered his name softly. The warmth the sprouted in her stomach had washed over her in a blanket and for a moment she wasn't a demon in bed with a angel. In fact in this moment she felt like a young women on the brink of dare she say love.

As the blue faded from her eyes a yawn escaped her lips and she released the angel in her bed, laying flat and stretching her back sighing as she ached in all the right ways. She sat up pulling her arms above her eyes head a sigh of pleasure escaping her when her back popped softly. She had looked away glancing around the room and for a moment she was glad to be a demon. No hangover for this one, her eyes danced back to him and she saw in his face the thrumming of a hang over and she leaned over climbing across his lap, the soft wild wave of dark hair brushing against his bare skin as she moved pulling open a drawer on her night stand and shifting things around before surfacing with a small bottle of tylonol. pulling back she sat on her side of the bed, opening the bottle and shaking out the small white tablets curling her fingers around them before offering them to Sam "Good morning Sammy, take these, they will make your head hurt less." Though she wasn't plagued with a hang over she remember all to well the feeling.

The idea left her think how different she had become living a life of wrongs as a human and now as a demon she felt more alive then before. Then again perhaps it was just the night she had before that made her feel this alive. She sighed and looked about her room, her eyes landing on the small green numbers that glowed from the clock on her dresser. 8am, when had they gone to bed? that she wasn't really certain but she did know that like any other weekday she would need to prepare herself for work once more. She climbed from the bed unashamed of her bare flesh as she turned on a lamp in the corner lighting the room with a dim light. She had been about to pull the curtains but she figured that wouldn't help his hangover. " Sammy love, I can get you covered at the shop if you would like to stay home today." She wasn't certain weather or not he would truly want to work today or not depending on what all he drunk the night before.

She moved about the room just a graceful and quite as the cat that had once roamed around, pulling up different items of clothing from the mess around her, once she had picked up all the things she desired she began by slipping on the soft black lace of undergarments before sliding a pair of black slacks up her hips. the fabric was soft and hugged her hips flaring as it traveled down her long legs. flaring out to cover her bare feet. she had her back to him not knowing how he would feel about sleeping with her a monster he had been trained to hate. She refused to spoil her joy with that thought and quickly she blew it off sliding a white shirt over her head, reaching back and fastening the button at the back of her neck. it was a shift that wasn't to tight but at the same time showed the curves of her body, though no flesh was exposed as the white fabric wrapped around her throat. She left her shoulders bare and sat at the foot of the bed, grabbing a brush off the floor she began combing through her hair. She wasn't gentle as she forced the tangles from her hair, in her mind she began to wonder what was Sam thinking as he watched her move around truly having no idea what to say to the man. What if he was just as worried about what she thought? a sarcastic laughter came from the back of her head why would he care about what a demon like her thought? after all she was the one with the tainted soul praying the light of a fallen angel could keep her from falling farther into darkness.

Once her hair was brushed she decided to keep the warmth inside her a moments longer. Standing she turned her eyes meeting his as she padded softly to the side of the bed her fingers brushing the soft hair from his forehead before she placed her lips against the warmth of his flesh. The words that slid from her lips was a strange harsh sound, though she didn't know if angels knew the langue of demons as she murmmered against his forehead "Az Keil." my light she had called him before she moved away looking around once more and sighing "Iv got a cleaning crew coming to help put all this back in order..." her eyes landing on a small ball in her floor and her voice caught into her throat as she remembered her friend whom had been stripped from her the night before but now tears would not come. Only now she was determined to find out what it was that had caused his demise. Revenge a demons game but she was demon after all.

At any rate, she didn't look mad at him. Sam watched Deiliha move about the room, dancing into her clothes. The small white capsules sat in his hand. Sam was too distracted to take them for a while, but eventually the pain in his head reminded him that it would only be stopped by medication. He took the pills and shook his head softly. "I can go to work," he told her, a response to a question asked now minutes ago. He felt that he needed a minute out of this house, a minute to work out everything that had happened the previous day.

If he were going to work, he had to get up and get dressed. However, Sam just sat there in bed, waiting for his headache to subside. Deiliha wasn't looking at him at all; maybe she was mad after all? He didn't know what to say, how to ask, Every part of him was conflicted. If he were capable of murder, then he was capable of this, too. Then what? If he ruined his chance with this demon, how would he ever convince the king of demons that he was on their side? Something else drummed at his mind, a pain worse than his hangover. What if he lost Deilha, the only person he'd ever come to have feelings for before?

Before he could say a word, Deiliha walked over to him and said something. He didn't recognize the language, not immediately, but the longer he pondered the word the more he realized it was demontongue. That was a cursed language among angels, and it was forgotten by most disculpi anyway. Sam was kicking himself; if only he knew what she had just said. He thought to reply in angeltongue, but that was slipping from his mind as well. Was being on earth affecting what he knew? How would he communicate with his peers once he returned to heaven? He tried to mask the panic that crossed his face at that thought.

Sam shifted uncomfortably on the bed. He wasn't going anywhere, not until he knew Deiliha was okay with what had happened. He cleared his throat. "Deiliha," he murmured, "about last night, I just... I want you to know I never meant to take advantage... That is, I think I wanted..." He was tripping over his words, not knowing how to say what he wanted to say. He winced, irritated at his inability to speak properly. "I'm just trying to say... I'm sorry, for last night, really."

He was stuttering something she found to be all the more adorable, it was hard to see a grown man be so sweet and pure. He had given her some of his light and she swallowed it up like a drug and it frightened part of her. Thoughts began creeping through her mind, dark ones that threaten to steal her away from the man once more.

The he began to form a sentence her attention going back to him and she couldn’t help the laughter that slid from her lips. It was all too sweet, he thought he had taken advantage of her. If she had been a human, she surely would have melted in his hands but as a demon her heart merely fluttered with emotion's. She didn’t stop herself this time. Moving so she couldn't sit on the bed close enough for her hand to cup his cheek, her thumb running softly over his flesh and for a moment looking over the angel she realized he would be her undoing one way or another. Her eyes locked with his and though she didn’t know it one eye had gone blue while the other seemed rage with a storm of red and blue fighting it out to become a violet “Sammy, you didn’t do anything wrong. I wanted you then just as I want you now.” though admitting it out loud caused the blood to rush to her face surely coloring her cheeks at the thought of him in bed once more. This angel was something else and she truly wondered if he knew just how much she would really do for him.

She was afraid of his response for a moment but she refused the idea, knowing in this moment she wanted nothing more than to kiss him and start the fire once more but this time there would be not liquor to cloud the emotions and the pleasures. Lust was a sin and it was one she had condemned to before, it increased the pleasure made it something her body craved but it also effected the other sex with a demon like her would be more intense like playing with fire just to see how long you could take the heat. Yet here she was holding back to protect his light. Something so precious to her that as she watched him grow into the life of a human, he began to turn into a man but not like so many he as generally a good man. Something rare, then he worked hard and he didn’t mind that his hand where rough instead he rarely seemed to notice but she had and the thought alone of how his hand felt against her skin made her pull her hand slowly from his face sitting up straight and swallowing the lump in her throat.

It was dangerous to feel so much and if she wasn’t careful word would get out and she would be locked away and studied only to have to start all over again until nothing was left of her soul. Creating a common monster. She had fear for herself but she worried even more for him, the king had always gotten what he wanted and how would he feel to know one of his chosen women didn’t fawn at the sight of him like all the others. She imagined it would be like an only child with all the toys in the world being forced to share with the other children. What would a Satan sized fit really look like? She shivered at the thought and that worried her because what would he do to her precious Sammy.

Deiliha was laughing at him. Sam stared at her in confused disbelief, wondering what he had said that had tipped her off. He had been serious, but perhaps she thought otherwise. She assured him he'd done nothing wrong, so Sam looked away and considered it. If Deliha really thought he'd been okay--

He was snapped from his thoughts at her touch. Sam looked back to her and concentrated on her eyes. They were changing colors now, and one looked more human than demon. What did that mean? He got lost in the war in her eyes for a few moments, until the demon spoke again.

I wanted you then just as I want you now
    .

He watched the way the blood pooled in her cheeks after she'd spoken, as if she were embarrassed or ashamed of what she'd said. Sam opened his mouth to respond, but he didn't know how, not with words. His hand found its way to her cheek, cupping it softly, and he was about to draw in for a kiss when Deiliha withdrew. He looked up at her with confused eyes. Had he done something wrong? Sam moved his hand to the back of her head and pushed her gently back to him. His lips came over hers, soft, a question upon them. "Deiliha?" he murmured quietly. Did she really want what she was asking for? His eyes trailed her body and his thoughts returned to last night, at the pieces of memory he retained through the alcohol. Was this wrong now? Did she not want him anymore? But her words, and her actions, why were they contradictions now?

Sam sat back, removing his hand from Deiliha. He watched her silently for a few moments. "I don't want to make you do anything you don't want to do," he said. "But... know that work can wait, if this is what you want. If it isn't... Well, I can wait too."

She had meant to pull back but his hand stopped her and his lips found hers once more and for a moment longer all of it was lost thoughts faded away with the want seeping from his pores. Then he pulled away and for the slightest moment she couldn’t pull together a single thought listening to him speak seemed to pull together. Work could wait but, so would he? He wanted her even now? Sober? Sometimes moments like this she could forget he was an angel and she could see the human pushing through. Was it possible he would wake up one day with no angelic light left? Be nothing but a human? Was she the one sapping his light away? The thought made her internally cringe, what if she was just draining the light from him? Turning him human.

The thoughts plagued her hard leaving a bad taste in her mouth. Her future husband had made this all too easy, he hadn't intervened ever. What if this was his goal to turn an angel human and then when his time came devour his soul with all the rest. Then he wouldn’t be the only fallen angel in hell and that would give him a chance of a lifetime. She had heard stories angels where warriors, soldiers fallowing orders but none of that fit the man in front of her. Was he strong and capable? Yes. He had chosen a job working around heavy things and from watching him he had not struggled with that.

A thought flashed through her mind, it was a hot day the garage was open and she had parked out front waiting on Sam to finish with his day even though she said she was doing paperwork while she waited, she knew damn well nothing was going to get done. She watched him moving around the car shirt off sweat covering his body and when he lifted the things she could tell where heavy her mind only thought of one thing. Hunger for this man, he could lift her against a wall any day. She had watched him until he was done and painted the same smile on her face when he got into the car. It didn’t bother her in fact she loved how he smelled like a man when he came home with her. Sam was like a forbidden fruit she had bitten from and now all she could do was crave him, but what if that was the point?

No! Not right now work could wait as a smile broke through the storm in her eyes and she leaned forward her lips pressing to his. Work could wait, but not her angel.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (evening 6 pm)

She had spent her day with Sam neither had gone to work and it seemed neither one cared, she had slipped away to shower and straighten out the rest of her thoughts. She had spent a day in a self-induced fairy tale knowing it was too perfect between her and him. Something had to go wrong after all it always did, but what would it be this time? No matter how she puzzled it so many different options came to mind and frankly she wasn’t a fan of most of them. After all none of them really equaled the one thing she was determined to have. The hot water was supposed to relax her and that seemed like a joke instead her brain spent far too long trying to piece together a puzzle she didn’t have all the pieces to.

By the time she exited the shower she was mentally more frustrated then she had been earlier but she refused to show it. Wrapping herself in a towel and throwing her hair into another she walked out of the steamy bathroom. Her eyes searching for her delicious little Sammy, maybe not so little. Laughter colored her eyes at the thought as a smirk appeared on her lips. “Hey Sammy how about we go out for dinner tonight?”

Agonizing moments passed between Sam's words and Deiliha's answer. The man could only watch as emotions flashed over his lady's face. She seemed upset; had he been foolish to suggest anything? But then she smiled, and she pressed into him, and Sam knew all would be right, somehow.

    ---

Sam's eyes fluttered open again and he located Deiliha moving away from him towards the bathroom. It was dark now; how long had they been in bed? They'd spent the day together, without a care in the world, and Sam had to admit, that was its own kind of heaven. In some ways, he felt it was better than the restrictive clouds he'd been born to. Sleepily he sat up in bed. How long had it been since he'd been able to just be with someone all day like this? Had he ever?

It had been a lovely day, in truth. Sam still didn't understand the human feelings he had been forced to adopt, but he was enjoying experiencing them, for the most part. Still, he felt conflicted. What was he feeling? What names did he have for these strange emotions swirling within him? He couldn't admit to them. Deiliha was a demon, was other, was evil, but the way her breath made his heart stop, the way her moans and groans sent him reeling, the way she cuddled to his chest; Sam wouldn't admit it yet, but he was starting to have second thoughts about his plan.

Sam waited for Deiliha to finish her shower. He greeted her when she returned with a big grin. "Dinner sounds very nice," he said. "I should call work too, I guess. Explain why I didn't go in today." He turned towards a clock in the room. It was late; did they want to hear from him? Pulling himself away from bed, Sam began to gather his clothes. "Where did you want to eat?" he asked. "I think somewhere with fine wines would suit the mood for this night, yeah?" With his clothes gathered in his hands, he turned to face her, showing off his bare back. "Shall I wear something fancy then?" he asked. "Maybe you should dress me. We can match."

Laughter fluttered from her lips as he mentioned her dressing him to match, but going somewhere fancy. Now that was a thought she agreed with, luckily, she had the perfect idea a little Italian restaurant up the road. It was harder to get into but she had been there many times on a business and would have not troubles getting in again. Pulling a black bag out of her closet she smiles “I suppose now is as good a time as any. I bought you this.” she handed him the bag hoping he would enjoy her gifts.

In the bag was a black satin button up shirt she had it tailored to fit Sam, along with a nice paid of black pants, at the very bottom of the bag was a box fancy labeling on the front with a nice pair of shoes inside. When he had looked away to see what was inside the bag, she had silently slipped into the closet. Deciding to dress herself to match the angel in a ironic sort of way. It was a simple enough dress white fabric layering a white chiffon. The hem of her skirt fell just above her knees and a simple leather belt wrapped around her waist as she appeared from the closet.

Her hair was wet and mess of waves as the air around her began to shift and warm slightly a smile on her lips as light danced through her eyes “being a child of darkness has its perks.” as she spoke the air shifted around her, her hair blowing in all directions just to fall in a wild mass of black waves. Combing her fingers through before reaching over and grabbing a brush. Taming the mess wasn't going to happen and she wasn't about to try. Leaving it to fall freely as she turned her attention to Sammy. Her eyes darkening at the sight of him, just his precense made her feel more then she had felt in so long but it scared her. She was to be eternally punish for her sins and at some point, this was going to backfire.
