Liveth backed up into the remains of the room, if it could be called remains. she gazed up at the tower the two had made their way on top of. Sealing the door with a quick spell so they couldn't follow her as she prepared to follow Terrick onto the tower. However she knew she might only get in the way if she followed them to the tower top. There had to be a better position she could help Terrick from...

If she flew. She could sit anywhere. She hated the idea but fortunately there was a way around the issue. quietly casting a flight spell Liveth rose into the air and carefully chose her position, far enough away to be out of the Dragon's imminent attack ranger but still able to cast long reaching spells at him or at Terrick. She murmured a spell and cast it at the knight, a spell that would effect his image to the sentient undead dragon. Blur. pulling out one of the wands she'd stashed she cast blur on herself before using the wand to cast a spell the made it appear as if there was more then One Terrick... silent image's that would hopefully confuse the undead for a short time.

As he faced down the massive undead dragon, Terrick noted how Fitzklein seemed clumsy and unused to having such a bulky body. While dragons tended to be pretty slow in general due to their massive size, without sufficient experience in maneuvering such bulk, a human who had been granted the ability to transform into a dragon, such as the robber knight he was facing, was even more awkward to look at.

Stepping aside from a direct hit from the undead dragon's powerful toxic breath, Terrick's armor was able to grant him sufficient resistance to the attack as to leave him unharmed while he thrust his polearm into the creature's front leg, causing a cry of pain to emerge as it began to limp around on the leg in order to swat at him with the other claw. However, the claw hit only air, as Terrick noticed the effects of Liveth's magic on him, making him more difficult to hit.

He spared only a quick glance towards the source of the spell... the beautiful elf hovering far enough away as to be outside of the dragon's range, yet close enough to support him with magic. Clever girl, he though to himself, as the undead dragon knight hadn't seemed to notice her yet, figuring the magic affecting Terrick had been cast by the knight himself.

A true dragon might have used some sort of magic to cancel out the effects of Liveth's spell... yet Fitzklein wasn't a true dragon, and it didn't seem like he knew a whole lot about magic, preferring to rely on physical attacks and the sheer power offered to him by his transformation. As Fitzklein attempted to swallow Terrick whole, the knight thrust his polearm into the creature's throat, cutting open the inside of his mouth and causing the dragon to begin coughing up blood along with toxic breath.

Liveth watched as the dragon missed her knight, but still leaving a few of his silent dopple gangers. Livath cast the same spell on herself, making it appear as if there was more then one of her floating about in the air before she started chanting a another spell, creating another fireball and cast it at the dragon shortly after Terrick wounded the undead dragon in the mouth intending o draw the dragons attention and divide its attention to leave it open for Terrick.

Thankfully, it seemed the knight Fitzklein was ill-equipped to dealing with illusionists, and lacked the magical skills of true dragons when it came to fighting mages and sorceresses. The dragon form was pure, brute strength and power, which could be dealt with. The confusion regarding the mirror images, and the dragon's inability to dispel them like a true dragon might, was making the fight a bit easier than it otherwise might have been.

When the fireball impacted the undead dragon's face, the creature's magic resistance proved too weak to defend against the undead elemental weakness, and so Fitzklein roared in rage as his huge head became engulfed in flames. The spell accomplished the desired goal of drawing his attention, and as the dragon turned to breath his toxic breath at Liveth, Terrick immediately begun his attack.

Swiftly moving to the dragon's flank, he brought his polearm down full force on the creature's neck, the radiant energy of the blade allowing it to cleave more cleanly through scale and bone. Fitzklein's draconic head was removed completely from the dracolich body, causing the creature to fall down with a thud on the ground. "Try coming back from that," he muttered, as the body began to dissolve and reveal the headless form of the robber knight on the ground.

Glancing back at Liveth, he extended his hand to invite her closer. "There should be some sort of phylactery... my guess the amulet around his neck. Can you destroy it with your magic?" He figured her magical powers were greater than his own, since he focused more on physical combat, so destroying a dracolich phylactery was more within her powers.

Liveth watched unmoved when the dragon turned to face her, its fatal mistake. Terrick moved forward cleaving the dragons head from its body. The robber must not have known anything about dragonic powers otherwise this fight would have been tremendously more difficult with a competent undead and dragon. She watched the body dissolve into that of a human corps before she started to float closer to Terrick as he held out his hand to her.

She frowned as she finely landed on the ground. "I don't know..." she said. "I should be able to unless it is protected by magic itself." she said looking to the body. that was if the Pendent was the item they were looking for. She cast a small spell to detect any other magical items on his person coming over to gather what she found and take it from the body. "It might not be safe to study it here." she said looking to Terrick. "If its protected with spells destroying it could take time. Is there anything more we need to do here?Or have we completed our mission?"

Watching as the elf girl came closer and landed nearby, the knight frowned a bit, listening as she said she should be able to handle the pendant and nodding. "It might be protected by some sort of complex magic, as well... if you can't handle it yourself, the Knight-Commander can probably figure something out." He added to his explanation, saying, "That's also the item that allows him to transform into a dragon, you see.... so it's a rather complex magical artifact."

Looking around a bit, he shrugged. "There's the rest of the robber knight's men... bandits, really. Normally I'd exterminate as many of them as I can in order to prevent them from harassing the countryside... but destroying this phylactery is more important. So we can just kill every bandit we see between here and Kalingrad, instead." The bandits were already avoiding the knight and sorceress who had eliminated their liege, so Terrick was of the impression that most of them would rather flee than fight.

Liveth was quite but nodded as she stared at the magical item. It was best not to tempt it, destroying Items could very if it was that complex there was no telling if it had some kind of magical protection on it as well. Best to be careful. "It might take time for them to rally, or find a new leaders but the more numbers we take from here to there the better I suppose." she agreed. "I suppose its best if we leave then before any of them do manage to pluck some foolish courage." She said Stashing the amulet in a pocket for sake keeping. "Do you think it will be safe to stay at our camp? or should we travel through the night?" she asked preparing to cast a flight spell on herself and Terrick to easily leave the castle tower.

Terrick frowned as he considered the consequences of letting the bandits go. He didn't particularly like killing, but the thought of the foul deeds these men had done, along with those they would continue to do in their lives, with or without their robber knight, left a bad taste in his mouth. There was the possibility that some of them would attempt to redeem themselves... but it didn't seem all that likely.

"We should attempt to put this berg some distance behind us..." he said. "There's still a good number of them, and I doubt we'd get much rest with a watchdog spell alerting us every half hour." Recognizing the spell that she was preparing, he stepped forward and gave her a soft kiss. "I take it that's for me?" Her own flight spell was still in effect, from what he could tell, though he doubted either of them would be able to use much magic after her flight spell and the steed he intended to summon to take them as far from the robber knight's castle as possible.

Liveth nodded in agreement making sure all magical items were stashed safely away as Terrick stepped forward and Kissed her Liveth flushed before she nodded again. Indeed, it was and it leave her nearly spells after but she was confident enough that they could get away from the fort and out of harms way before they needed to rest again. she laid her hands on Terricks chest casting the flight spell on him. It was time to go before any of the low lives here managed to rally themselves. She took Terricks hand, knowing he might have some experience with a flight spell but knowing it could still be something of a nuisance to control. "It should last us long enough to get off the tower, perhaps a little longer. but I think sticking close to the ground would be a better option as they likely have some ranged weapons." she said quietly as she walked towards the edge of the tower.

Enjoying the way the elf girl blushed, Terrick stroked her hair, allowing her to cast the spell on him before giving her a nod. "Good idea," he remarked, jumping off the top of the castle and allowing the flight spell to levitate him close to the ground, tugging on Liveth's hand to take her along with him. Though the weight of his armor slowed the effects of the flight spell somewhat, he was still able to get some good distance from the tower before it wore off, falling gently to the ground as it did so.

"Let's move a bit faster, shall we?" he asked a rhetorical question before summoning forth his phantasmal steed with the incantation of "Jivi, arcanisstok." Helping Liveth up into his lap, he began to make his way swiftly back towards the road. "Come to think of it," he said loud enough to be heard over the sound of the wind, "This steed can also fly for short periods of time, and is of the same difficulty level as your flight spell, but faster. Oh well... you know what they say about hindsight." He held her close around her slender waist, enjoying her soft warmth as he rode back towards Kalinberg to report the success of the mission.
