Powers:

Reader: Charles can "read" surface thoughts of people when he touches skin to skin. He can extend the read on a person seeking secrets, or hidden answers; this becomes harder to accomplish depending on the strength of will of the person he is attempting to read. This can vary from answers to questions to the next move in a fight. Additionally, with some concentration and focus, he can read traumatic events in the history of items. The latter ability is the secret to his success as an engineer.

Eraser: Charlemagne has learned to erase himself from the perceptions of people. He can do this for himself relatively easily to small groups of people. He can erase other people or things from the perceptions of people, however he has to know exactly whats being erased, has to be touching it, and has to have meditated on erasing it for at least four hours before attempting it.

Engineer: Charlie has a doctorate in engineering. While he has only limited understanding, and patience where software is involved. Charles is quite brilliant at creating devices and tools for certain purposes.

Deep read: Charles can force a deep read on an item or person. Forcing a read causes both reader and readee extreme pain. A forced read is not 100% accurate however, as even a deep read is affected by the strength of the readee's mind. This also deactivates Charles ability to preform basic readings for 24 hours.

Weaknesses:

Always on: Charlemagne can not turn off his ability to read people. Any accidental skin contact and he is exposed to the surface thoughts of those he is in contact with. Charles has adapted to this by wearing long "sleeved" clothing and gloves; limiting his exposed skin to his face and neck.

Battle of Wills: Surface thoughts are easily read, it's like skimming leaves off the surface of a pond. The deeper the secret, or information the more Charles has to battle the eddy's and currents of the others mind. A deep read is like tying an anchor to ones waist and jumping into the middle of the pond. You aim for a specific point in the pond, however the eddy's and currents can still pull you off course. The strength the will and/or strength of mind of the person being read varies the mental eddy's and currents. The stronger these currents the less accurate the reading.

Haunted History: Charlemagne spent his pre-teen years locked in an asylum. He keeps this secret hidden as much as possible. Charles is not only embarrassed about these years, but he has also repressed the memories of what went on there, as well as why he went initially.



History: Charlemagne was not the typical child. Whereas other children his age hero worshiped Batman, Superman, and the Flash; Charlie's heroes were Lucius Fox, Emil Hamiliton, Tina & Jerry McGee. He was the kid who took apart his fathers electronic shaver, his mothers microwave and the family radio; only to put them back together. Of course he had piece left over, however many of those items continued to work some working better then before.

What he remembers of his childhood is happy. Charles had a close relation ship with his grandmother from New Orleans, until her death shortly after his tenth birthday. However even after her death, Charles doesn't remember spending any time mourning. Though shortly after her death Charlemagne was sent to the Platinum Flats Asylum. After four years of therapy, Charlemagne was released.

He graduated his high school in the top 10% of his class. Charles was accepted to Hudson University where he pursued studies in Engineering. He attended Holliday College for his graduate studies. And he achieved his Doctorate at Metropolis University, where he came to the attention of Robert Meersman, and Emil Hamilton. Charlemagne was hired to S.T.A.R. labs as an up and coming engineer.

Personality: DR9 is perpetually curious. While it does seem to have access to a nearly infinite number of facts, it fails to understand social interaction and emotions. It is however striving to learn.

Spoiler: Powers: 

Nanotechnology: DR9-Q8D-T43 is the hive consciousness of a nanomachine swarm. As it does not have a solid form it is able to alter his density, shape and appearance. It can also shift his body through porous and or cracked materials, though it is far from an instantaneous shift.

Probability Matrix: Due to the massive amount of processors that make up its brain DR9 can predict with an 80% success rate the path of projectile, the next card in a deck, and the next logical move of an enemy.

Spoiler: Weaknesses: 

Fragile Form: DR9 has no solid core to any of its forms. This means that impact, expected or not, with enough force can shatter its assumed form. Be it the loss of a limb or the complete form. Additionally any damage DR9 takes requires those damaged nanites to be replaced. This process can vary from a few minutes to several days depending on the amount of nanites needing to be replaced.

Emotionless Automaton: Although DR9-Q8D-T43 is attempting to assimilate emotions and social interactions. It is quite awkward in these situations. Emotions and social pressures also impact its ability to successfully predict behavior. In highly emotional situations its success rate drops to 40%.

Auto-ma-whats-it: DR9-Q8D-T43 is still an automaton. While each of the nanomachines has the ability to refuel themselves. DR9 can still run out of energy in an environment devoid of substances to break down into fuel. While the core elements of DR9-Q8D-T43 are protected from Electro-Magnetic Pulses the majority of it's nanites are not protected. This means an EMP would disable whatever form DR9 had taken.

History: DR9-Q8D-T43 was the final experiment of its creator. A creator it never got to meet. The original nanite followed its core programming. It began to create and network with other nanomachines. Over the course of a month DR9 had built an extensive network of nanomachines, and interfaced with the computer. This massive influx of knowledge combined with the extensive network of processors granted DR9-Q8D-T43 a base level of sentience. This base level of sentience expanded as DR9 continued to replicate.

As DR9-Q8D-T43's consciousness grew, it began to explore. It explored both the deserted lab it was created in and the internet it could access through the computer. It came to realize that it could work together to create bodies that would increase its ability to explore. It started with basic insectoid forms then expanded to other animals and finally humanoid forms.

While it learned to create forms, DR9 also learned an important lesson from movies. It acknowledges the majority of movies to be fictional. However several movies classified as "horror" movies, taught DR9 an important lesson in moderation. Whereas it could continue to replicate DR9 chose instead to replicate no more then was necessary.

When it had fully explored the lab DR9-Q8D-T43 decided to exit into the world. However it had learned another lesson it had learned from horror and science fiction movies was that many humans were unnerved by foreign shaped beings. And so DR9 created both a human male and a human female shape. It chose the unisex name of Dorian and exited the lab to explore the world.

During an early trip out of it's laboratory home in it's female form, Dorian was tricked into an alley where someone tried to assault it. Dorian shifted its shape after the initial attack, frightening the already confused attackers. While they fled, Dorian shifted back into its female form and returned to its abandoned lab home. After extensive research into the events it experienced.

After research into the crime and the various crime fighters, Dorian opened the Gemini Detective Agency in Bludhaven. It assisted the police in solving a number of crimes and aided people in solving their problems. A number of times during these events Dorian got itself into trouble; using its shape and density shifting abilities it successfully got itself out of most of the trouble unharmed.

What Power do they possess?: His eyes have multiple lenses, (one increases the magnification level of normal eyesight 50X, the other allows him to see the thermal spectrum) can hold his breath for several minutes.

Short Bio: Alex was born in a small town in Kansas, he doesn't remember much from before the war but remembers the day it started vividly. As both parents enlisted Alex was raised by his grand parents. His grandfather was an avid hunter and taught Alex everything he knew about firearms. After the war his parents were changed people. Alex helped his grand parents take care of them. Alex proud of his parents military service joined the peace keeping forces as soon as he was able. He volunteered for the Vahalla project of his own free will. And while his eyes bother him from time to time he doesn't regret trying to make the world a better place.

Personality: Alex is pretty laid back; he enjoys drinking (alone or with friends), fast food (and slow food), hunting, and guns. He does his job well, and generally keeps his cool. However if anything he considers family is threatened he will go to the ends of the earth to end that threat.

> Strengths: Alex is an expert Marksman with all forms of firearms, he even throws a mean knife. Alex has quick reflexes, making him able to quickly draw a gun or react to a sudden increase in targets immediately. He is also capable of keeping his body completely still for long periods of time while aiming.
