RECRUITMENT THREAD

Welcome to the Vita Somnia Resort and Spa. We accommodate 5-star luxury, safe living while vacationing on the island. The resort is 4-storeys high and includes separate, executive condominiums for VIP guests.

Please make sure to review all Information regarding our Resort and Amenities, as well as the info of the Island before planning your next vacation at our fun-filled resort.

Suites

Suites range from single occupancy to executive family condos; each with the highest level of comfortable, king-sized bedding, 4K television with computer components, full spa-bath-jacuzzi, and mini bar fridge with complimentary water, various sodas, and our finest liquors.

Restaurants/ Bars

The resort has seven premium, catered, fine-dining restaurants with various themes: Japanese, Greek Tapas, Steakhouse, Italian, Seafood, and two vegetarian/vegan themed.

Business Area/ Medical Facility

Equipped with the most recent technologies and medicines, the Business Area and Medical Facility is available 24-hours a day. The Business Area has a lawyer on call for any last-minute tweaks to your life insurance or legal papers; the Medical Facility has a full staff of fully-trained triage and medical professionals for any injuries or illnesses that may occur during your stay.

Security

Our resort is equipped with a top of the line security system; the entire resort is surrounded by the highest grade laser security walls to prevent any intruders onto the premises. Our staff are highly trained and certified professionals who have strict procedures on entering and exiting the resort.
There is a three-door-preventative measure placed on exits/entrances to the resort. When leaving the resort to go out into the wilderness, step one is making sure that you have an emergency pack that includes a bottle of water, GPS, protein bars, and an emergency flare gun if you are unable to make it to one of the “Safe Locations”.

Weapons Lock Up

The weapons selection for your experience on the Island is as far as your imagination can take you: from various types of guns and knives, to flamethrowers and gardening tools. These are kept in the second secure post while entering/exiting the Island. No weapons are permitted on the resort and will be under 24-hour security.

Vehicle Rental

The Resort hosts a variety of roadworthy vehicles for the Island adventure, readily available at the beginning of your experience at the resort.

Zombies

The island residents are wild, slow-moving, and brain-eating. They often travel in small groups of 2 or 3, though when certain conditions are introduced into the environment, the zombies will arrive in much larger crowds (upwards of 20).

Activities

Along with standard resort luxuries such as beautiful infinity pools to relax by, a workout room, white sand beaches to play various sand- and water-sports, we have three zombie-fighting-related activities that you should not miss out on!
Shooting Gallery: Work on your sharpshooter skills in our shooting gallery; an area of the resort in which you are protected, but there are some of the island’s zombies wandering about. There are markers to direct how far away each target is and any choice of projectile weapon at your disposal.
Melee: feel the need to add more of a physical workout to your zombie attacking? Check out our Melee section, introducing closed quarters for you to challenge a zombie in one-on-one combat. Smaller and more creative weapons are available for use, and each quarter is monitored in case of emergency.
Full Survival Experience: we offer the full survival experience in 12, 24, and 48 hour increments. You will be equipped with a backpack of basic supplies, your weapon and vehicle of choice, and a GPS that will have pre-existing Emergency Stops for your safety. Please note that this is a self-guided experience, but the areas are all video monitored in case of any issues that may arise.

Emergency Stops

Each Emergency Stop is a fenced in unit offering shelter, food, water, and 24-hour medical assistance any time it is needed during a Full Survival Experience Package. In extreme circumstances, there is an emergency helicopter that will travel to your distress signal using the GPS if you are too far away from an Emergency Stop.

Name: Jamie Flood

Age: 25
Gender: Female

Appearance: 5’5” tall; slim build; short dark brown hair, brown eyes; always has a look of boredom or disdain

Personality: Jamie isn’t really one to joke around. She takes things a little too seriously, and if someone tries to joke she has the look of deadpan disdain down pat. She easily sits back while the world burns in front of her, finding herself more of a spectator in life and less of one who actually takes the day head-on. If you try to talk to her when she’s in a bad mood (though it’s hard to even tell if she’s ever in a good mood), be careful--she can and probably would bite your head off.

Interesting Info: Completing her Master's thesis in University, Jamie has gotten bored watching the subjects of her study and decides to take her psychological research to the next level and apply it to herself. She has always had an almost crippling fear of zombies, and she figured it was the perfect thesis topic: how to conquer your fear head-on. The tale of a psychology student and her fear of zombies who travelled to the Zombie Island.

5’6”, slender athletic build, jet black hair, chocolate brown eyes. Devon has a moderate tan complexion which stands out with her clothing color choices.

Personality: Devon open and friendly. She will offer friendship easily however if broken, she will forgive but never forget. She has remarkable control of her temper and is often soft spoken. On the opposite end of the spectrum, when she has been pushed to the point of expressing her anger, she is hell fire. She practices Tae Kwan Do and blade use daily more as stress relief.

Interesting Info: Devon is a Sergeant on the police department in her town. She is also a tactical officer and teaches unarmed self-defense to the department and other tactical officers. She has been on the department longer than most command officers. It is not a good ideal to ask her about her career goals as she will grumble about the boys’ club and having to nurse maid her Lieutenants and Captains. When she learned of Immortui Island Resort, she decided that since the Departments Guideline would frown upon her taking her anger out on her command, she would have to settle for some poor unsuspecting Zombie. If with her, you just might hear her mumble ‘File this Captain Jackson’ while decapitating one of the undead.

Personality: Having been raised in an environment where no one has ever criticized him for his looks or intelligence, and all problems can be solved with money, Cody has grown up thinking very highly of himself. He is conceited, prideful, and judgmental, but thinks of himself as a very humble and kind hearted individual, with a knack for “telling it how it is”.


Interesting Info: Cody is an individual who has skated through life. He thinks that being pretty, wealthy, and well liked are his god given rights, and has no idea what it means to work for anything. He is naturally talented, athletic, and reasonably intelligent when he wants to be. His problem is that, having been handed everything his entire life, he’s never felt the need to strive for anything. He managed to grease by through elementary school because of his father’s funding toward the board of education, and eased his way through high school with charm and sports ability. When it came time to select a college, he simply stopped, confident that he will inherit his father’s company one day, as well as a bulk of the fortune that comes along with it. What Cody doesn’t realize, is that his parents recently changed their will, leaving the majority of their estate, and ownership of the business to his Harvard alumni twin sister. This little trip was actually her idea.

-Snow Blind: Cody can often convince people that he knows what he’s doing, or talking about, when he actually doesn’t have a clue.

-Self Preservation: If pushing you down in front of a hungry zombie increases his own odds of survival, get ready to eat dirt.

-Naïve: Possesses no applicable skills or knowledge for real world or survival situations.

-Mooch: Cody cannot really think or make decisions on his own, and can only really function while in the presence of others

Sorry, I'm the worst right now. Holidays are busy and stressful; always puts me in a writing rut. I hope to open up the thread hopefully before Christmas, but I really can't make any promises. I will try my best, though!
