Bio: *Albert Bessemer or Bess as those close to him have come to know him was raised in Louisiana by a single mother. He has two younger sisters, who he's very close with. He joined the military while he was young and from there would have a long military career before the military handed him over to work security for Argos, a weapons company that had earned a government contract. Bess would end up leaving the military to work for Argos privately and would head their security for their research facility in Litchfield. He was there when the incident happened fifteen years ago and from there has been working to help stop the spreading infection. Bess, made a name for himself among the ranks of Argos agents. He’s known as stubborn and iron-willed. He’s one of the only people who’d dare stand up to Rachael Cameron, though it probably helps that the two have history.
Despite Bess’s achievements in the field and his team, he’d personally built up from the ground, Reality set in that Bess was moving beyond his prime. Argos was looking for a way to push Bess out and got their opportunity a year ago.
Bess and his team were sent out on a mission to deal with a suspected infection in India when things got out of hand. The team was caught completely unprepared, having expected one or maybe a few early stage infected when they found themselves caught in a village almost overrun with infected that had mutated quickly. Bess lost half his team and was seriously injured. Bess spent six months recovering before turning in his resignation and returning to Louisiana. He was set to have a comfortable early retirement when he was asked to return by Cameron, herself.
Cameron was against the idea of Bess leaving, even when it was clear he wouldn't be fit for the field again. Bess was asked back to rebuild his team and help run it from central command. While many are happy to have Bess back, who's come to be known as a legend among the ranks, others are not so happy.
Other: Bess is known to be a tough guy to impress and he’s never been afraid to step on anyone’s toes. Ask anyone else at Argos, Bess walks around like he owns the place. The incident a year ago has made Bess cold. While he'd always been stern with his team, he saw them as family. The loss of many of them has lead to him keeping people at a distance.
Appearance:
Bess is of average height, and slender build. He has mostly grey hair with hints of his once light brown hair still lingering. He's usually dressed in semi causal work attire. A button up with a tie. He now wears glasses, something that's a bit of a pain for a man that was a sharp shooter. The injury from a year ago has left him with a limp and he now walks with a cane.
