"I'll do it," Julian said, kissing her cheek. He closed the backpacks and when Lily was back with her brush, he carefully started to brush her hair.

Lily sat still as her daddy brushed her hair. Once he was done, Alicia called the kids to the table for breakfast. She smiled at them. "Eat up dears." She said

Tommy grinned and loaded his pancake up with syrup and powdered sugar before digging in.

Lily grinned as she too loaded up her pancake but hers had peanut butter and syrup. Alicia smiled as she watched the kids eat.

Julian brought Lily's brush back to her room. He wanted them to stay home. Though part of him liked being alone, the rest of him was afraid of it. That part knew he would descend into madness again if left alone. And this time he couldn't soothe himself by reading up on the case. This time he had to find a way to distract himself. He looked at the clock. It was only a couple of hours, then he would have his appointment. Surely he should be able to bridge that time without cracking, right?

When Julian walked back into the kitchen, Alicia caught the look on his face. She was worried about him. He was clearly worried about himself too. She let the kids eat before handing a plate to Julian. "Eat... It'll help." She said softly. "You can come to the gym with me until your appointment if you are worried." She added.

He bit his lips and nodded. "I'll think about it," he murmured, taking a bite of his pancake. "Thank you."

She nodded. "Of course..." She kissed his cheek gently. "I just don't want you to feel lonely."

He shook his head, squeezing her hand. "I love you."

"And I love you." She smiled at him before sitting down with the children and eating her own breakfast. Once the kids finished, she ushered them into the bathroom to brush their teeth. She helped Tommy brush his teeth as they were still teaching him to do it properly. "Alright kids. Get your shoes, coats, and backpacks. The bus should be here soon."
